Business Process Management (BPM) System is a software system to support an efficient execution, control and management of business processes. The system automates complex business processes and manages them effectively to raise productivity. Traditional commercial systems mainly focus on automating processes and do not have methods for enhancing process performances and task performer's efficiency. Therefore, there is room for enhancement of task performers' productivities and efficiency of business processes. In this paper, we propose a new method of executing business processes more efficiently in that a whole process is scheduled considering the degree of participants' workload. The method allows managing the largest constraints among constituent resources of the process. This method is based on the DBR (Drum-Buffer-Rope) in TOC (Theory of Constraints) concepts. We first consider the differences between business process models and DBR application models, and then develop the modified drum, buffer and rope. This leads us to develop BP-DBR (Business Process-DBR) that can control the proper size of task performers' work list and arrival rate of process instances. Use of BP-DBR improves the efficiency of the whole process as well as participants' working condition. We then carry out a set of simulation experiments and compare the effectiveness of our approach with that of the scheduling techniques used in existing systems.

The systemization of construction information is required over whole life cycle of facilities to improve productivity of construction industry. BIM(Building Information Modeling) is a technology to manage information based on 3D information model. It has been actively suggested as one of the alternatives. However, it may be currently concentrated on the large project while the small and medium project based on BIM are slightly treated in indifference. In the case of small and medium project, the loss of information has been occurred more seriously than large project. However, it is hard to introduce BIM to the small and medium companies due to the lack of investment resources. This study has been performed to set up information management system based on BIM considering characteristics of small and medium project without excessive investment. In this study, pseudo BIM is defined as BIM for small and medium project. The concept of pseudo BIM has been suggested. The PLIB of ISO and construction information classification system of MOLIT in Korea are used to construct data dictionary for pseudo BIM. A pilot test is performed to verify the effectiveness of pseudo BIM.

Earthworks are the fundamental steps in a construction job, and are mainly comprised of smaller tasks performed by construction machinery. The productivity of the construction job can be improved by optimizing excavation, filling, and other such operations. Earthworks involve a lot of mechanical work performed by the collaboration between various kinds of construction equipment, which in turn leads to higher fuel consumption. Actual earthworks depend mostly on the intuition and experience of the driver of the machines, thus leading to inefficiency and environmental problems caused by unnecessary emission of carbon, Recently automated and information-oriented technologies are consistently being researched towards the improvement of efficiency of earthworks in the construction industry. The present research involves the introduction and understanding of the decision-making elements of heuristics which can be applied to the earthwork planning. A method is also suggested for creating an effective work path for construction machine to perform task packages (TP) for cutting and filling processes. A simulation test is performed to verify the effectiveness of suggested methods in terms of space interference and total moving distance of construction equipment.
The present study began from the criticism that the discussions related to the existing digital media have focused on the technical productivity and effectiveness to focus on the positive perspective. Therefore, this study will concretely confirm the dangers that may be caused by digital media and confirm the overall risk perception for digital media such as the user's opinions for risk evaluations and risk management for such dangers. As a result of making the digital convergence media, the smart phone, as the detail study subject, the 17 risk types including the 'risks of financial dimensions, risks of social-cultural dimensions, risks of individual dimensions and risks of pathological dimensions' were classified. Furthermore, the users appeared to highly evaluate the seriousness and possibilities of risks as a result of analyzing the risk-factor per each risk type(risk magnitude ${\times}$ development possibility). Next, it appeared that the users did not have high degree of reliability for the government in the aspects of countermeasures and prevention of risks and appeared to highly evaluate their expectation and liability for their individual roles. If the seriousness and development possibilities, the evaluations for liability, preventative measures and post-management methods for the risks of smart phones can be thoroughly analyzed and applied, it will be able to expand them as significant political countermeasures that can reduce the risks of other digital media in the future.

The purpose of this study was to develop a nursing care delivery system which can provide patient focused care and increase satisfaction for both patients and nurses. This study was a quasi-experimental study to test the effectiveness of direct / indirect nursing care hours, patient satisfaction, nurse's job satisfaction, and the difference of the length of stay between model and control group. Control group data were collected from 100 patients who had lumbar disease in the neuro-surgical unit and model group data were from 66 patients who didn't have family residents from August 21, 1995 to February 29, 1996. Model unit was operated by modified PPM(Professional Practical Model) system for 3 months from December 1, 1995 to February 29, 1996. Working committee empowered nurses to make a decision to provide increased opportunities for autonomy, accountability, and control over the environment in which they deliver care. Satisfaction survey was done twice and analyzed by the SPSS program. The results of the study were as follows; 1. Mean direct nursing care hours of the model group was 90.47 minutes as it was 28.04 in the control group which shows significant statistical difference (t=-18.0, P=0.000). 2. Patient satisfaction to nursing care of in the model group was significantly higher than the control group (t=-6. 77, P=0.000) and it apples to the all subcategories, too. 3. Nurse's job satisfaction shows the significant increase in the model group than the control group(Z=-3.0405, p=0.0024). 4. There was no statistical difference between 2 groups in average length of stay except for the post-op patient which shows 5.4 days less in the model group. This study shows that patient satisfaction and nurse's job satisfaction were increased and length of stay was decreased in the model group. Even though this new developed Patient - Nurse Oriented Model can provide nursing with the opportunity to improve patient care to increase productivity and highly valued, it is very difficult to practice due to the limited nursing resources, higher acuity levels and nursing care cost. It is strongly recommended that the government needs to look at the unreasonable reimbursement system and recognize the nursing care costs to the high acuity level patients. Otherwise, make the patient responsible for the nursing care cost so that we can provide more efficient and patient focused care.
A radio-tracer experiment was performed in a greenhouse to investigate the effectiveness of the simultaneous application of K and Ca as a countermeasure for reducing the radiocaesium and radiostrontium uptake by rice. Paddy soil (loam of pH 6.5) in soil boxes was spiked with $^{137}Cs$ and $^{85}Sr$, and treated with K and Ca in the forms of KCl and $Ca(OH)_2$, respectively, at agrochemical grades before transplanting. For the seeds of the control plants, soil-to-plant transfer factors (TF, $m^2\;kg^{-1}-dry$) of $^{137}Cs$ and $^{85}Sr$ were $7.4{\times}10^{-5}$ and $2.1{\times}10^{-4}$, respectively, whereas the corresponding values for the straws were $2.6{\times}10^{-4}$ and $2.2{\times}10^{-2}$, respectively. The TF values of $^{137}Cs$ and $^{85}Sr$ kept decreasing as the level of the simultaneous application of K and Ca (K/Ca, $g\;m^{-2}$) increased up to 33.6/322 and 48.0/460, respectively. The maximum rate of the decrease was around 60% for both radionuclides. Nearly 60% reduction in the TF value of $^{85}Sr$ was observed even at the dosage of 33.6/322, which was considered the optimum dosage based on crop productivity as well as reduction in the radiocaesium and radiostrontium uptake by rice. The optimum dosage may depend on various factors so further experiments need to be made for many different conditions.

As all industries field has changed very quickly, the field of construction faces in many changed. It is the representatively change that focus on the growth of quality level than increase of the quantity in construction. Whether the project successes or not is related to the survival of the company and it is necessity that we need performance measurement indicators to complete the project successfully. The domestic construction company considers overbearingly the cost-performance indicator in executing a project so far. It is rare of studies that suggest the methodology of more deeply measurement and analysis about the each project itself. The performance measured methodology based on Lean Construction is linked with the each project performance measurement methodology. This methodology uses three indicators such as the reliability, effectiveness and productivity at the sane their measuring whether each task is completed at the point of work. The measurement on the three performance indicators measure and evaluate whether the task is completed on the focus of construction duration. The research suggest the work plan reliability and weight of the performance measurement methodology based on the Lean Construction and the three considerately in the scope of measurement. If the suggestion is considered fully, we can indicate more objective and accurate construction project performance measurement indicators based on Lena Construction.

The world is in need of sustainable and eco-friendly energy sources such as microalgal biodiesel due to global warming and fossil fuel shortages. In this study, we compared the effectiveness of liquid fertilizer produced from swine manure and agriculture grade solid fertilizers as nutrient sources for microalgal biomass production. Mixed culture (Chlorella spp., Scenedesmus spp., Stigeoclonium spp.; CSS) was cultivated for 28 days in Small Scale Raceway Pond (SSRP) using various nutrient sources (swine manure liquid fertilizer, agricultural solid fertilizer, and mixture of these two fertilizers). Biomass and lipid productivity of fertilizer mixture were the highest at 0.8 g/L and 5.8 mg/L/day, respectively. These results indicate that the fertilizer mixture can provide microalgae necessary nutrient sources for stable biodiesel production and biomass growth. In addition, overall cost of microalgal cultivation and subsequently biodiesel production would be significantly reduced.

Companies build the factory automation system to improve management effectiveness and productivity as prime strategies for sustainable growth. But most companies undergo various trials and errors while carrying out the project without elaborate preparation stage for factory automation. In this study, we tried to verify what factors are critical to effectively building distribution automation system, which is a branch of factory automation system. A consulting model for setting up a Material Handling Automation System by utilizing the Stage-Gate Process, which is product development process was studied. 29 material handling automation projects carried out between the year 1990 to 2013 at K-Company were selected. Interviews with the project managers, operators and maintenance personnels, various records and current status of the projects were used as data for structural equations based on the Milan consulting model and existing researches of factory automation, CIM for material handling automation. Creating effective basis of production, material handling system and energy saving system with expert review, when preparing a material handling automation project, help promote the project planning thus contributing to the performance of the resulting system, which appears though rather weakly in our data. Also the effect of material handling automation can be enhanced through sufficient and effective links to the relevant environments such as production logistics management and automated warehouses. More detailed planning characteristics of project promotion or some time-series data of effective Material Handling Automation System could enhace furthur studies. We propose a consulting model for setting up an efficient material handling automation system.
