워크스테이션 모델링 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Workstation Modeling)

  • 본 연구는 제품디자인 개발과정에서 많이 활용되고 있는 워크스테이션(workstation)의 하나인 알라아스(Alias)를 활용하여 정확한 3차원 모델 링 데이터를 구축하는 과정을 비디오 개발 과정을 통해 제시하였다. 먼저 알리아스(Alias) 모델 링의 기본이 되는 NURBS 곡선의 특징과 표면 생성 방법을 파악하였다. 기본적인 표면을 생성한 후 사실적인 이미지 표현을 위해 적용하게 되는 질감표현(texture), 조명(lighting), 렌더링(rendering) 방법을 파악하였다. 제품 디자인의 모델 링에 필요한 이러한 요소들을 비디오 디자인 개발 과정을 통해 종합적인 활용방향을 제시하였다.

  • IoT devices are interconnected in global network with different functionalities and manage the data transfer in cloud computing. IoT devices can be used anytime, anywhere with any device with different applications and protocols. Same devices but different applications according to end user requirements such as sensors and Wi-Fi devices, reusability of these applications can enhance the development process. However, large number of variations in cloud computing make it difficult the features selection in application because of compatibility issues of devices. In this paper we have proposed multi-Software Product Lines (multi-SPLs) approach to manage the variabilities and commonalities of IoT applications and protocols. Feature modeling is used to manage the commonalities and variabilities of SPL. We proposed that multi-SPLs feature model is more appropriate for modeling of IoT applications and protocols.

  • 3D Modeling Solution can reduce projecting error and also make possible to design visually, so that it can minimize human resources. On the other hand, it has defects of operating difficulties caused by too much complex function, thus it consequently prevent user from prompt handling. According to this paper, the developed party S/W will help that user can construct the parts easily, can let everybody use 3D modeling solution readily, and make fast development of new product. This software will carry out prompt development of new product and derive satisfaction of customers from high quality. Also, saving time and expense naturally raise competitive power in consequence.

  • Purpose: The primary purpose of this study is to integrate text mining and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to automatically extract valuable information from customer reviews, thereby establishing a QFD frame- work to confirm genuine customer needs for New Product Development (NPD). Methods: Our approach combines text mining and QFD through topic modeling and sentiment analysis on a large data set of 56,873 customer reviews from Zappos.com, spanning five running shoe brands. This process objectively identifies customer requirements, establishes priorities, and assesses competitive strengths. Results: Through the analysis of customer reviews, the study successfully extracts customer requirements and translates customer experience insights and emotions into quantifiable indicators of competitiveness. Conclusion: The findings obtained from this research offer essential design guidance for new product develop- ment endeavors. Importantly, the significance of these results extends beyond the running shoe industry, presenting broad and promising applications across diverse sectors.

  • This paper describes the implementation process of Virtual Modeling system for a customer-oriented product. The human sense is measured and analyzed by physical design factors and can be applied also for the product design. The first step implementing virtual modeling is to make a human sensibility("Kansei") database. Human sensibility database is constructed with the relational data of Kansei words and design factors. The next step is extraction the design information from the human sensibility database by fuzzy inference algorithm. This design information is used for the input data for the graphic database. Virtual implementation software compounds 3D shape of product. The final product can be modified according to the customer's requirement.quirement.

  • 본 논문은 조선공업에 동시공학 개념을 적용하기 위한 것으로 선박 구조설계 및 모델링을 대상으로 한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 선박의 구조부재를 모델링하기 위한 방법으로서 범용 CAD시스템의 사용자 정의 언어(PPL, Parametric Programming Language)를 이용하는 방법과 이를 이용한 parametric macro를 이용하는 것을 제안하였다. 한편 모델링의 효율성 및 그 결과의 활용성을 고려하여 모델링 절차에 대하여 검토하였으며 각각의 모델링 절차들이 갖는 장단점을 비교하였다. 마지막으로 구조부재의 모델링 결과를 어떻게 활용하는가에 대하여 간략히 설명하였다.

A Study on Collaborative Environment for Development of Submarine: Focusing on Modeling System for Digital Submarine

  • The shipbuilding process is changing due to changes in the development environment and technological requirements for military ships. This would also hold true for a submarine, because its shipbuilding process includes complicated design and construction conditions. System improvement efforts for the design and construction of military ships have continued with the goal of overcoming these conditions. At present, the Korea Navy is developing a 3,000 ton-class Korean type submarine, and its design is progressing by the introduction of a full 3D-ship CAD system. Although the 3D modeling system was introduced for effective design realization through the introduction of collaborative design and active utilization of M&S (modeling and simulation), the introduction effects are not yet generally obvious, according to the characteristics of ship design. The present paper discusses the collaborative environment for developing a submarine to enhance this. This paper proposes the architecture and data structure of a system for realizing collaborative design and discusses a case system developed on the basis of this.

기능분해와 TRIZ 이론을 이용한 철도 대차의 구성설계 (Configuration Design of a Train Bogie using Functional Decomposition and TRIZ Theory)

  • The configuration design of a mechanical product can be efficiently performed when it is based on the functional modeling. There are methodologies, which decompose function from the abstract level to the concrete level and match the functions to physical parts. But it is difficult to carry out an innovative design when the function is matched only to a pre-detined part. This paper describes the configuration design process of a mechanical product with a design expert system, which uses function taxonomy and TRIZ theory. The expert system can propose a functional modeling of a new part. which is not in the existing parts list. The abstraction levels of design knowledge are introduced, which describe the operation of mechanical product in the levels of abstraction. This is the theoretical background of using knowledge of function and TRIZ for configuration design. The expert system is adequate to control this design knowledge. which expresses knowledge of functional modeling, mapping rules between functions and parts, selection of parts, and TRIZ theory. The hierarchy of functions and machine parts are properly expressed by classes and objects in the expert system. A design expert system has been implemented for the configuration design of a train bogie, and a new brake system of the bogie is introduced with the aid of TRIZ's 30 function groups.

  • This paper presents a solid modeling system that enables real time co-operative modeling and discussion on m between geographically separated designers. The modeling system is implemented using CORBA architecture and integrated in WWW with Java technology. The server objects use a commercial solid modeling kernel to provide modeling features and access database including product model data. The client is implemented using Java2 platform so that enables end-users access the system with web-browsers.

Product Adoption Maximization Leveraging Social Influence and User Interest Mining

  • A Social Networking Service (SNS) platform provides digital footprints to discover users' interests and track the social diffusion of product adoptions. How to identify a small set of seed users in a SNS who is potential to adopt a new promoting product with high probability, is a key question in social networks. Existing works approached this as a social influence maximization problem. However, these approaches relied heavily on text information for topic modeling and neglected the impact of seed users' relation in the model. To this end, in this paper, we first develop a general product adoption function integrating both users' interest and social influence, where the user interest model relies on historical user behavior and the seed users' evaluations without any text information. Accordingly, we formulate a product adoption maximization problem and prove NP-hardness of this problem. We then design an efficient algorithm to solve this problem. We further devise a method to automatically learn the parameter in the proposed adoption function from users' past behaviors. Finally, experimental results show the soundness of our proposed adoption decision function and the effectiveness of the proposed seed selection method for product adoption maximization.
