Additive manufacturing (AM), so called 3D Printing is a new manufacturing process and is getting attraction from many industries. There are several methods of 3D printing. Among them fused deposition modeling (FDM) type is most widely used by reason of cheap maintenance, easy operation and variety of polymeric materials. Articles manufactured by 3D printing have weak deposition strength compared with conventionally manufactured products. Deposition strength of FDM type 3D printed article is highly dependent of deposition temperature. Subsequently the nozzle temperature in the FDM type 3D printing is very important and it is controlled by heat source in the 3D printer. Nozzle is connected with heat block and barrel, and heat block contains heat source. Nozzle becomes hot through heat conduction from heat source. Nozzle temperature has been predicted for various thermal boundary conditions by computer simulation and compared with experimental measurement. Nozzle temperature highly depends upon thermal conductivities of heat block and nozzle. Simulation results are good agreement with experiment.
Ship STEP(Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data) which is composed of AP 215 (Ship Arrangement), AP 216(Ship Hull Form), AP 218 (Ship Structure), has been developed more than last 10 years and it is now at the stage just before IS(International Standard). It is expected that ship STEP would be used for the seamless data exchange among various CAD/CAM/CAE systems of shipbuilding process. In this paper the huge and complicated data structure of ship STEP is briefly reviewed at the level of ARM(Application Reference Model) and some abstract test cases which will be included as part of the standards are introduced. Basically ship STEP has common data model to be used without losing compatibility among those three different ship AP's, and it is defined as the modeling framework. Typical cases of data exchange during shipbuilding process, such as hull form data exchange between design office and model basin, midship structure data between shipbuilding yard and classification society are reviewed and STEP physical data are generated using commercial geometric modeling kernel. Test cases of ship arrangement at initial design stage and hydrodynamic data of crude oil carrier are also included.
The paper examines the role of the informal sector on innovation activities of urban formal manufacturing enterprises in India. It provides empirical evidence on firm-level linkages between formal and informal sectors by using the World Bank Enterprise Survey, 2013-14 and the Innovation Follow-up survey, 2014. Primarily, the paper aims to examine the effect of informal sector competition on innovation in urban formal manufacturing enterprises in India. Secondly, the paper analyses the mediation effect of informal sector competition on innovations in the urban manufacturing enterprises. It determines the direct and indirect influence of business regulations and constraints on innovation outcomes through the mediation effect of informal sector competition by using the SEM "Structural Equation Modeling" guidelines. The econometric results show that informal sector competition has a negative effect on the introduction of product innovations while industry-level informal sector competition has a positive effect on product innovation through the local knowledge spillovers from the informal to the formal sector. However, the informal sector competition was found to have no significant effect on the probability of introducing process innovations. Further, the results show the inhibitive role of informal sector competition on innovation in urban formal manufacturing enterprises is more severe for firms with heavy regulatory burdens and is relatively weakened in firms with resource constraints. This suggests that the informal sector plays an important role in the NIS (National Innovation System) in India.

Impulse buying occurs when consumers feel an urge to impulsively buy a product without thoughtful consideration of why and for what reason they need the product. However, few efforts have been made to identify the impacts of perceived scarcity on the impulse buying of fashion products in mobile shopping malls. This study's objectives were to estimate, using structural equation model analysis, the impact of a scarcity message on browsing, feeling the urge to buy, and impulse buying of fashion products on mobile shopping malls. Data was collected from 206 customers who experienced to impulse buying fashion products via objective sampling. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses developed for the study. Results found evident effects of the scarcity message on the impulse buying of fashion products directly and indirectly. Additionally, consumers felt the urge to buy had a significant impact on the impulse buying of fashion products, whereas browsing had little impact on the impulse buying of fashion products. This is an expanded study to examine structural equation modeling of impulse buying of fashion products on mobile shopping malls. These results will contribute to a better understanding of the mechanisms that underlie the operation of an effective scarcity strategy for fashion products on mobile shopping malls.
By supply of high performance computer becomes all industries automation and convenient of our life. Can speak that is pursuit of swiftness and variety that is prior most development of information society and production system in competitive industrial design product development process. Specially, students who consumer personality studies design according to variableness must present idea in a short time. Therefore, find a new tool that can show quick modeling result for present of new idea or fast design specifications examination and production at college or corporation now. According to such environment change did request by cost time and cost-cutting until reach in production from product design because competition is gone vigorously. University arrived to think RP induction by result presentation and so on for third dimension model by various design process. This research purpose is going to compare difference methods(Manual processing, CNC machine) with students' design result manufacture process on RP appliance that is using in college. Consequently, think that this study is helpful in the college of which is making use of RP appliance or planning installation. By result of this research, model of big curved line is profitable in hand process, by CNC Is profitable when model is going to manufacture finely, RP work could know that size of product is profitable small thing as is complicated.
Feature models are widely used in domain engineering phase of software product lines development to model the common and variable concepts among products. From the feature model, the feature configurations are generated by selecting the features to be included in target product. The feature configuration represents the requirements for the specific product to be implemented. Although there are a lot of researches on how to build and use the feature models and feature configurations, the researches on the formal semantics and reasoning of them are rather inactive. This paper proposes the feature configuration verification approach based on JESS, java-based rule-base system. The Graph Product Line, a standard problem for evaluating the software product line technologies, is used throughout the paper to illustrate this approach. The approach in this paper has advantage of presenting the exact reason causing inconsistency in the feature configuration. In addition, this approach should be easily applied into other software product lines development environments because JESS system can be easily integrated with Java language.

As customers' needs are more diversified, the issue of managing product variety has become more important to manufacturers. It is because an increase in product variety may cause various inefficiencies in operations, while satisfying more diverse needs. Consequently, firms have introduced the concept of modularity to improve operational performance. Yet there are only a few studies which analytically investigate the effect of modularity in new product development (NPD). Therefore, this research develops an analytical model of exploring the effect of modularity on firm profitability when a component built upon new technology is introduced into an existing product, and provides important managerial implications on the NPD and technology management, which can guide the decision making on modularity in practice. The results show that it is necessary to increase modularity level when i) the product is easy to upgrade, ii) the product's price should be high due to external factors, and iii) the effect of new technology investment is uncertain, while it is desirable to increase the investment cost for introducing new products with low demand elasticity for modularity.

This study identifies the influence of on/off-line acquaintances' recommendation messages on fashion product attitude and purchase intention on the online purchase of fashion products in two-sided word of mouth situations as well as compares the difference in influence according to bond-base with equidistance. This study was conducted for one month on university students in their 20s who were believed to be active in smartphone use. Out of the collected 174 copies of the questionnaire, 162 copies were used for analysis. The questionnaire was classified into online and offline recommendation messages of an acquaintance. We present two-sided fashion product reviews made similar to the type found in an actual shopping mall web-site. As for analysis, confirmatory factory analysis, structural equation modeling, and multi-group analysis were conducted using AMOS 19.0. The analysis results are as follows. First, on/off-line acquaintances' recommendation messages had significant influences on product attitude in the situation where two-sided reviews on fashion products were presented; however, those messages did not influence purchase intention. Recommendation messages positively increased product attitude and enhanced purchase intention if acquaintances' recommendation messages were mediated between on/off-line acquaintances' recommendation messages and purchase intention. Consequently, a mediating effect on product attitude was revealed. Second, there was no difference between online acquaintances and offline acquaintances in terms of the influence of acquaintances' recommendation messages on product attitude and purchase intention, in the situation where two-sided reviews were presented on online fashion products. Therefore, no control effect according to the type of acquaintance was confirmed.
Recently, global competition in the manufacturing sector is driving firms in the manufacturing sector to conduct product innovation projects to maintain their competitive edge. The key points of product innovation projects are 1) what the purpose of the project is and 2) what expected results in the target market can be achieved by implementing the innovation. Therefore, this study focuses on the performance of innovation projects with a business viewpoint. In this respect, this study proposes the "achievement rate" of product innovation projects as a measurement of project performance. Then, this study finds the best strategies from various innovation activities to optimize the achievement rate of product innovation projects. There are three major innovation activities for the projects, including three types of R&D activities: Internal, joint and external R&D, and five types of non-R&D activities - acquisition of machines, equipment and software, purchasing external knowledge, job education and training, market research and design. This study applies decision tree modeling, a kind of data-mining methodology, to explore effective innovation activities. This study employs the data from the 'Korean Innovation Survey (KIS) 2014: Manufacturing Sector.' The KIS 2014 gathered information about innovation activities in the manufacturing sector over three years (2011-2013). This study gives some practical implication for managing the activities. First, innovation activities that increased the achievement rate of product diversification projects included a combination of market research, new product design, and job training. Second, our results show that a combination of internal R&D, job training and training, and market research increases the project achievement most for the replacement of outdated products. Third, new market creation or extension of market share indicates that launching replacement products and continuously upgrading products are most important.

The demand for coverall-type protective clothing are increasing in many industrial fields; however, it is impossible to evaluate the wearers' apparel fit because there is no commercialized pattern in the market. This study produces a manual for the process of acquiring patterns by separating PPE products into pieces to provide information on acquiring patterns. The analysis was on coverall-type non woven protective clothing in the domestic market, and 4 panels examined the validity, reliability, and efficiency of various possible methods on each step of process. Five steps were conducted to acquire patterns removing wrinkles, marking seams lines, separating seams, and pattern completing. The process of converting these into pattern files was designed through three procedures of digitizing, editing, and exporting and detailed stages. Fitting tests were undertaken, real patterns by actual modeling and pattern files by virtual modeling; all showed similar forms with outfits wearing ready-made protective coveralls. This study sought the most efficient and objective method of virtual modeling and proposed it as a manual. It is expected for the pattern reverse-designing manual through products analysis presented in this study that would be a helpful addition of information to the pattern tracing of pattern-less clothing products.
