영양강조표시제품의 무기질 (칼슘, 철, 아연) 함량 분석과 상호작용에 대한 연구 (Minerals (Calcium, Iron, Zinc) Analysis and Interaction of Emphasized Nutrition Indication on Products)

  • 본 연구는 칼슘과 철 그리고 철과 아연의 상호작용과 신뢰성있는 영양정보를 제공하기 위해 영양강조표시제품 중 칼슘, 철, 아연의 함량을 분석하고 표시량과 분석값을 비교하였다. 칼슘, 철, 아연을 강조표시한 제품(시리얼, 과자, 두유, 초콜릿가공품, 기타코코아가공품, 당류가공품, 과줆채음료, 고형차) 총 42건을 수거하였으며 칼슘, 철, 아연은 무기성분의 건식분해법으로 전 처리한 후 Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer (ICP)로 실험하였다. 칼슘이 강조표시된 제품 42건에 대한 표시량 비율은 87~176%이었으며, 철이 강조표시된 제품 13건에 대한 표시량 비율은 84~167%, 아연이 강조표시된 제품 6건에 대한 표시량 비율은 98~275%였다. 모든 분석값이 표시량 대비 80% 이상으로 식품 등의 표시기준을 충족하였다. 칼슘과 철의 상호작용은 한국인의 칼슘 섭취가 1일 권장량의 68.7% 수준으로 부족하므로 칼슘의 과다섭취로 인한 철의 흡수방해는 우려할 만한 상황은 아닌 것으로 보인다. 또한, 분석한 영양강조표시제품의 철과 아연의 함량 비율이 1.53:1이 최대였으므로 철의 과다섭취로 인한 아연의 흡수방해는 우려할 만한 상황은 아니었다. 그러나 업체에서는 칼슘, 철, 아연을 강조한제품을 생산할 시에 영양소의 상호작용을 고려하여 생산을 해야 할 것이고 소비자에게 정확한 영양정보를 제공하고 적정량의 영양섭취를 위해서는 지속적인 모니터링을 통해 식품표시에 대한 주기적인 관리가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

  • 2007년 영국 Carbon Trust의 Carbon Reduction Label을 시작으로 하여 일본의 CFP (Carbon Footprint Product), 한국 탄소성적표지 인증제도 등 국내외 약 15개 국가 또는 기관에서 제품에 대한 탄소라벨링 제도를 시행중에 있다. 탄소라벨링은 기업이 제품 및 서비스에 대한 전과정에서 발생하는 탄소배출량을 정량화하고 해당 제품에 대한 라벨링을 부착함으로써 제품에 대한 온실가스 배출량을 저감하기 위한 제도로 정의할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국, 영국, 일본의 탄소라벨링 제도 운영 현황과 국가별 제도에 대상 세부 산정 기준에 대한 분석을 실시하기 위해 국내기업 중 청소기, 세제, 포장재료를 대상으로 한국, 영국, 일본 탄소라벨링 기준에 따라 제품의 온실가스 배출량을 산출하였다. 제품별 평가결과 온실가스 배출량 산정기준, 배출계수 등의 차이로 동일한 제품의 경우에도 제품의 온실가스 배출량 차이를 보이고 있다. 그러므로 기업이 국가별로 제품 탄소라벨링을 대응하는데 많은 어려움이 발생할 것으로 보이며 특히 국제표준뿐만 아니라 제품군별 가이드라인 개발이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

  • This paper deals with inspect algorithm using visual system. One of the major problems that arise during polymer production is the estimation of the noise of the product(bad pallets). An erroneous output can cause a lot of losses (production and financial losses). Therefore new methods for real-time inspection of the noise are demanded. Backward Pegging을 이용한 반도체 후공정 스케줄링 (Semiconductor Backend Scheduling Using the Backward Pegging)

  • Presented in this paper is a scheduling method for semiconductor backend process considering the backward pegging. It is known that the pegging for frontend is a process of labeling WIP lots for target order which is specified by due date, quantity, and product specifications including customer information. As a result, it gives the release plan to meet the out target considering current WIP. However, the semiconductor backend process includes the multichip package and test operation for the product bin portion. Therefore, backward pegging method for frontend can't give the release plan for backend process in semiconductor. In this paper, we suggest backward pegging method considering the characteristics of multichip package and test operation in backend process. And we describe the backward pegging problem using the examples.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the recent development of meat analog, industrialization, and the related legal changes worldwide. Summarizing the current status of the industrialization of meat analog, studies on plant-based meat, mycoprotein, and edible insects were mainly conducted to investigate their sensory properties (texture, taste, flavor, and color resembling meat), nutritional and safety evaluations, acquisition method of meat alternatives, and commercialization. Cultured meat is mainly studied for developing muscle satellite cell acquisition and support techniques or materials for the formation of structures. However, these technologies have not reached the level for active industrialization. Even though there are differences in the food categories and labeling between countries, it is common to cause confusion or to relay false information to consumers; therefore, it is important to provide accurate information. In this study, there were some differences in the food classification and food definition (labeling) contents for each country and state depending on the product shape or form, raw materials, and ingredients. Therefore, this study can provide information about the current research available on meat alternatives, improve regulation, and clarify laws related to the meat analog industry, which can potentially grow alongside the livestock industry.

GUI기반 산업용 디지털 기기의 측정값 인식 시스템 (A GUI-based the Recognition System for Measured Values of Digital Instrument in the Industrial Site)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상처리를 통해 GUI를 기반으로 산업용 디지털 기기의 측정값을 인식하고 기록하는 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다. 제안한 시스템은 기존의 차량번호판 인식과 달리 산업용 측정기의 LCD화면에 표시되는 값은 디지털 숫자로 표시하고 있어 소수점과 마이너스 표시, LCD보호유리의 반사광등의 여러 가지 장애요인을 고려하였다. LCD화면에 표시된 숫자를 인식하기 위해 블롭 레이블링 (blob-labeling)기법을 사용하였으며, 인식한 숫자 이미지는 템플릿 매칭(template matching)을 통해 숫자가 무엇인지 판별하여, 인식한 측정값을 측정시간과 함께 저장장치에 기록하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 산업현장에서 제품의 내외경이나 높이를 측정하고 기록할 때 수기로 작성하는 번거로움을 줄이고, 수기로 작성 시 잘못 기입하는 경우를 방지함으로써 생산 공정 과정에서 오류가 없는 효율적인 공정관리가 가능하게 하였다.

영양강조표시제품 중 비타민 C 함량 조사 (A Study on Vitamin C Content of Nutrition Emphasized Products)

  • Objectives: Vitamin C has various functions such as antioxidative effect and supporting absorption of iron (Fe). Aim of this present study was to provide vitamin C nutrition information and to briefly evaluate absorption interaction of vitamin C and Fe content of vitamin C emphasized products. Methods: Vitamin C emphasized foods including beverages, cereal, snacks, chocolate products, other cocoa products, and sugary products were examined by HPLC. Fe contents in samples after dry-ashing were examined by ICP. Results: Vitamin C content ranges in various products tested were the following: beverages (n=11) $20.15{\pm}0.08{\sim}845.41{\pm}6.07mg$, cereal (n=11) $52.50{\pm}0.23{\sim}262.50{\pm}0.07mg$, snacks (n=1) $50.00{\pm}0.25mg$, chocolate products (n=1) $311.73{\pm}2.44mg$, other cocoa products (n=1) $311.73{\pm}2.44mg$, other sugary products (n=2) $52.50{\pm}0.23{\sim}262.50{\pm}0.07mg$. Vitamin C (n=27) analysis values ranged from 82 to 450% of the labeled value. Vitamin C content in vitamin C emphasized food (n=6) was estimated 7.7 times~56.6 times more than Fe content. Conclusions: Analyzed samples ranged more than 80% of the labeled value in vitamin C emphasized products, which complied with food labeling regulation. But, beverages (n=3), cereal (n=4), chocolate products (n=1) were 2 times more than the labeled value. To provide accurate nutrition information, food manufactures should supervise nutrition labeling and understand the interactions between nutrients. Also, consumer should decide about the adequate amount of nutrient intake by thoroughly checking nutrition labeling.

시판 가공식품의 비타민 A, E 함량 조사 연구 - 음료수, 시리얼, 과자, 기타코코아·당류·초콜릿가공품 등을 중심으로 - (A Study on Vitamin A and E Content in Commercially Processed Products - Beverage, Cereal, Snack, Other Cocoa, Sugar and Chocolate Processed Products -)

  • Purpose: People have long been interested about antioxidant nutrients such as vitamin A and E to stay in healthy states. This present study provides trustworthy nutritional information and evaluates vitamin A and E contents in emphasized food items. Methods: Vitamin A or vitamin E emphasized foods including beverage, cereal, snack, chocolate product, other cocoa products, and sugar products were analyzed. The contents of vitamin A, E in samples were examined by high performance liquid chromatography. Vitamin A and vitamin E contents were compared with the labeled value indicated on the nutrition label. Results: Vitamin A (n=18) value ranged from 90% to 248% and vitamin E (n=20) value ranged between 96-413% of labeled value. Analyzed samples ranged more than 80% of the labeled value, which complied with food labeling rules. Conclusion: Providing accurate information for nutrition label is essential to confirm nutrient contents in foods. It will help to decide the adequate level of nutrient intake. Therefore, the nutrition labeling system should be supervised continuously with regular monitoring analysis.

Biochemical and Ultrastructural Trends in Proteolysis of the $\beta$-subunit of 7S Protein in the Cotyledons During Germination of Soybean Seeds

  • Antibodies raised against the purified p-subunit of $\beta$-conglycinin were used in immunohistochemical studies to monitor the pattern of $\beta$-conglycinin mobilization in the cotyledons during soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] seed germination. Western blot analysis revealed that the break down of the $\beta$-subunit of $\beta$-conglycinin commenced as early as 2 days after seed imbibition (DAI). Concurrent with the degradation of the $\beta$-subunit of $\beta$-conglycinin, accumulation of 48, 28, and 26 kD proteolytic intermediates was observed from 2 to 6 DAI. Western blot analysis also revealed that the acidic subunit of glycinin was mobilized earlier than the basic subunit. The basic glycinin subunit was subjected to proteolysis within 2 DAI resulting in the appearance of an intermediate product approximately 2 kD smaller than the native basic glycinin subunit. In contrast to the major seed storage proteins, lipoxygenase was subjected to limited proteolysis and was detected even after 8 DAI. The first sign of $\beta$-conglycinin breakdown was observed near the vascular strands and proceeded from the vascular strands towards the epidermis. Protein A-gold localization studies using thin sections of soybean cotyledons and antibodies raised against the $\beta$-subunit of $\beta$-conglycinin revealed intense labeling over protein bodies. A pronounced decrease in the protein A-gold labeling intensity over protein bodies was observed at later stages of seed germination. The protein bodies, which were converted into a large central vacuole by 8 DAI, contained very little 7S protein as evidenced by sparse protein A-gold labeling in the vacuoles.

서울지역 여성소비자의 1회 제공량 기준 영양표시의 이용실태 (Understanding and Use of Nutrition Labeling based on One Serving Size Among Female Consumers in Seoul Area)

  • This study examined the understanding and use of information on nutrition labels based on one serving size among female consumers above the age of 20 in Seoul area. According to the survey, 69.9% of respondents were aware of the current system of nutrition labeling based on one serving size, and 51.8% of the respondents expressed their dissatisfaction with the system because the nutrition labels were difficult to understand or appeared unreliable. The nutrition label literacy of the consumers varied with respect to different packaging units. The respondents were likely to be less accurate in calculating the expected caloric intake when only portions of a multi-serving package were used. Initially 69.0% of respondents reported that they had read the nutrition label before purchasing a product but 91.9% of respondents said that they would check the label after learning how to read the label properly. It is very important to make consumers aware that the labels are very reliable sources of nutrition information. A public education campaign on the use of nutrition labels should focus on developing the consumers' ability and skills in using the label information when choosing foods.
