목재제품 규격·품질 표시제도 국내 도입과 정착을 위한 제언 (A Study on the Introduction and Settlement of the Labeling System for Wood-based Products and Expanding in Korea)

  • 목재산업은 녹색성장과 더불어 한국의 차세대 성장동력으로써 주목받고 있다. 또한, 지속적인 목재의 이용과 목재산업의 활성화를 위하여 "목재의 지속가능한 이용에 관한 법률"이 2012년 제정되었다. 자연으로부터 얻어진 목재자원의 가치를 향상시키고 선순환 구조를 지닌 목재제품이용의 확대를 통해 지속적인 성장을 동반하기 위해서는 목재제품 품질관리가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 국내외 목재제품의 규격 품질표시제도를 살펴보고 국내 목재산업에의 적용을 위한 방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 제재목을 중심으로 미국, 캐나다, 뉴질랜드와 일본의 규격 품질표시제도의 운영현황에 대하여 조사하였으며 목재제품에 대한 규격 품질표시제도는 시스템 진화를 통해 생산자의 자발적 참여로 운영되는 제3자 인증제도로 발전됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 국내 목재제품의 규격 품질표시제도의 활성화를 위해서는 도입기에는 산림청 중심으로 일원화 시스템을 구축하여 조기정착을 유도하고 성장기 및 성숙기를 통해 인식구조 개선과 생산자의 자발적 참여를 위한 인센티브 개발 등의 기반을 마련하여 제3자 인증제도로 발전시켜야 할 것이다.

Attitudes and preferences of consumers toward food allergy labeling practices by diagnosis of food allergies

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The objective of this study was to investigate food allergens and prevalence rates of food allergies, followed by comparison of consumer attitudes and preferences regarding food allergy labeling by diagnosis of food allergies. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A total of 543 individuals living in Seoul and Gyeonggi area participated in the survey from October 15 to 22 in 2013. RESULTS: The results show that the prevalence of doctor-diagnosed food allergies was 17.5%, whereas 6.4% of respondents self-reported food allergies. The most common allergens of doctor-diagnosed and self-reported food allergy respondents were peaches (30.3%) and eggs (33.3%), respectively, followed by peanuts, cow's milk, and crab. Regarding consumer attitudes toward food labeling, checking food allergens as an item was only significantly different between allergic and non-allergic respondents among all five items (P < 0.001). All respondents reported that all six items (bold font, font color, box frame, warning statement, front label, and addition of potential allergens) were necessary for an improved food allergen labeling system. PLSR analysis determined that the doctor-diagnosed group and checking of food allergens were positively correlated, whereas the non-allergy group was more concerned with checking product brands. CONCLUSIONS: An effective food labeling system is very important for health protection of allergic consumers. Additionally, government agencies must develop policies regarding prevalence of food allergies in Korea. Based on this information, the food industry and government agencies should provide clear and accurate food labeling practices for consumers.

탄소성적표시 건축 재료의 환경 효율성 분석 연구 - 바닥 마감재를 중심으로 - (A Study on Analyzing Eco-efficiency of Carbon Labeled Building Materials - Focused on Floor Finishes -)

  • In recent years, Korean government has focused on improving the environmental impact of products in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve their energy goals. The government has been conducting the following polices such as green procurement inducement and certification system. After carbon labeling was conducted in 2009, among a total of 1,065 items, 97 building materials have been given a certification: finishing materials items have the highest weight (56%). The increase in the certification numbers shows that there has been considerable technical efforts in the building material industry. At the awareness of carbon label and purchase of low carbon product, however, customers are aware of carbon labeling but the purchasing rate of carbon product is low. In this paper, we suggest that low carbon activities must also be considered in order to create client value by adding the concept of ecological efficiency. The objective of this study to measurer the eco-efficiency of carbon labeled building materials on the basis of environmental aspects of the product with the perspective of economy for purchasing the excellent products.

영양표시 제도에 대한 여성소비자 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Awareness of Female-Consumers for Nutrition Labeling System)

  • This study had carried out to investigate the usage status of customer, the positive effects and problems, and the most important items of the nutrition labeling at purchasing the food etc. on the current nutrition labeling system in order to establish the customer-centric nutrition labeling system. Survey was carried out by questionnaire method that is targeted on adult female above 20 years old in Seoul and Kyeongnam area from May to June, 2004. For the experience of checking the nutrition label of the processed domestic and imported processed food, 82% and 75.4% of the respondents were replied 'have checked' respectively. For the positive effects due to enforcement of the nutrition labeling system, the respondents agreed highly with 'easy to compare with other products' and 'improve the products quality'. For the problems of the nutrition labeling system, the respondents agreed highly with 'different criteria for each product' and 'incendiary purchasing due to false or exaggerated labeling', and gave the higher scale for the positive effects than the problems relatively. For the necessity of the nutrition labeling system, 96.2% of the respondents were replied 'necessary', and it was indicated a significant difference on age and marital status(p<.01). For the price rising due to enforcement of the nutrition labeling system, 55.2% of respondents agreed, and it was indicated a very significant difference on age and monthly income(p<.001). For the most important nutrition labeling items at purchasing the food, the respondents were replied 'total calorie' on most of the food, and in addition, they checked carefully the lipid, cholesterol, protein, Ca, and Fe.

충북지역 대학생의 당류 저감 인식 여부에 따른 단맛 인지도, 당류 저감화 인식 및 영양표시 활용에 관한 연구 (Study on the Sweet Taste Perception, Perception of Sugar Reduction, and Utilization of Nutrition Labeling according to the Awareness of the Self-perceived Sugar Intake Reduction of University Students in Chungbuk Area)

  • This study examined the sweet taste perception, perception of sugar reduction, and utilization of nutrition labeling according to the awareness of the self-perceived sugar intake reduction of university students in Chungbuk Area. The subjects (n=419) were divided into two groups: Awareness of Sugar Intake Reduction (ASIR) group, male=110, female=109; Non Awareness of Sugar Intake Reduction (NASIR) group, male=115, female=85. The overweight/obesity was significantly higher in the ASIR group than in the NASIR group for both male and female students. The sweet taste perception was significantly lower in the ASIR group in male students than in the NASIR group. The purchase level of a product with reduced sugar instead of the original products was significantly higher in the ASIR group in male students than the NASIR group. Beverage purchases after identifying the sugar content were significantly higher in the ASIR group in male students than in the NASIR group. The necessity of nutrition labeling education was significantly higher in the ASIR group both male and female students. Based on these results, the correct perception of sugar reduction and continuous and practical nutrition education of sugar intake reduction need to maintain healthy dietary habits in university students.

패션브랜드에 따른 상품속성과 브랜드 태도에 관한 연구 (The Study on Goods Attributes and Brand Attitude by Fashion Brand)

  • The purpose of this study is to 1) understand the importance of brands, which are known as one of the key purchasing points to consumers today; 2) 10 clearly clarify the various attributes of goods well-known to consumers; 3) to research the effect of the goods attributes on brand attitude. We examined 465 consumers to understand a purchase or a shopping habit with national and non-brand. The study used SPSS 11.0 package for a data analysis. Then using varimax rotation, we employed a factor analysis to analyze the data and obtain Cronbach ${\alpha}$ value. For more specific data analysis, we conducted t-test, regression analysis, and x2 analysis. The results are as followings: 1. The goods attribute is classified into product attribute, shop attribute, and price attribute. The product attribute is divided into wearability, labeling of size and quality, aesthetic expression, brand expression-harmony, textile-suitability, manageability and product assortment. The shop attribute is into shop environment, shopping convenience, promotion, salesperson service, convenience of location, shop's reputation. The price attribute is into price reasonability, price value, price economy, and price information. 2. The product attribute is different, by national and non-brands, in wearability, labeling of size and quality, brand expression-harmony, textile-suitability, manageability. The shop attribute had a significant difference in environment of shop and its reputation, and the price attribute had one only in price economy. 3. The brand attitude was affected by wearability, aesthetic expression, shop environment, price value, and price information. 4. Also, there exists a difference by demographic variables(age, job, academic background, marriage, income level) in brand attitude. For example, national brands have its consumers with the following variables: higher education, higher income, professional job, over 20s, and married.

웹 카메라와 손을 이용한 마우스 기능의 구현 (Implementation of Mouse Function Using Web Camera and Hand)

  • 본 논문에서는 USB 인터페이스 방식의 웹 카메라를 통해 입력받은 영상을 영상처리 기법을 통해 손의 움직임과 손가락 개수를 파악하여 실시간으로 마우스의 기능을 구현하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 웹 카메라로부터 입력받은 RGB 컬러모델 영상을 조명 변화에 강한 YCbCr 컬러 모델 영상으로 변환하여 휘도 성분을 제외한 색차 성분만으로 피부색을 추출해 이진화된 영상으로 만든다. YCbCr 컬러 모델을 이용하여 피부색을 추출할 경우, 주변 환경에 의해 정확한 손 영역을 추출할 수 없어 라벨링(labeling)과 열림(opening) 연산, 닫힘(closing) 연산을 수행하여 정확한 손 영역을 추출한다. 이렇게 추출된 손 영역의 중심을 이용하여 마우스 포인터를 이동시키며 손가락 개수를 이용하여 마우스의 클릭을 수행하였다. 구현된 제안 기법을 실험한 결과, 마우스 포인터 이동을 위한 기능 성공률은 평균 94.0%, 손가락 개수 인식률은 평균 96.0%로 실용화 가능성을 보였다.

LCA기법을 이용한 천연펄프의 환경 영향 평가 (Environmental Impact Evaluation of Virgin Pulp Using Life Cycle Assessment Methodology)

  • Life Cycle Assessment for the pulp, which is mainly used as the raw material of fine paper, base paper for food packaging and paper cup, has been carried out in this study to consider environmental aspects by quantifying the environmental emission and to evaluate its environmental impact potential. The system boundary was selected from cradle to gate stage(raw material acquisition, transportation of raw material and product manufacturing) of the product. Environmental impact was divided into 8 categories considering Korean situation: abiotic resource depletion, global warming, ozone depletion, acidification, eutrophication, photochemical oxidant creation, ecotoxicity and human toxicity. In Life Cycle Impact Assessment(LCIA) methodology phase, Ecopoint, Eco-indicator 95 and Korean eco-indicator were used and the results carried out by each methodology were compared. The results from this study were also compared with those of foreign study to verify the reliability of the results. The results of the study could be utilized as the basic data for Environmental Management System(EMS), Design for Environment(DfE) and Type III eco-labeling in the paper and paper-related industry.

  • A graph G = (V (G), E(G) of order n = |V (G)| and size m = |E(G)| is said to be odd harmonious if there exists an injection $f:V(G){\rightarrow}\{0,\;1,\;2,\;{\ldots},\;2m-1\}$ such that the induced function $f^*:E(G){\rightarrow}\{1,\;3,\;5,\;{\ldots},\;2m-1\}$ defined by $f^*(uv)=f(u)+f(v)$ is bijection. While a bipartite graph G with partite sets A and B is said to be bigraceful if there exist a pair of injective functions $f_A:A{\rightarrow}\{0,\;1,\;{\ldots},\;m-1\}$ and $f_B:B{\rightarrow}\{0,\;1,\;{\ldots},\;m-1\}$ such that the induced labeling on the edges $f_{E(G)}:E(G){\rightarrow}\{0,\;1,\;{\ldots},\;m-1\}$ defined by $f_{E(G)}(uv)=f_A(u)-f_B(v)$ (with respect to the ordered partition (A, B)), is also injective. In this paper we prove that odd harmonious graphs and bigraceful graphs are equivalent. We also prove that the number of distinct odd harmonious labeled graphs on m edges is m! and the number of distinct strongly odd harmonious labeled graphs on m edges is [m/2]![m/2]!. We prove that the Cartesian product of strongly odd harmonious trees is strongly odd harmonious. We find some new disconnected odd harmonious graphs.
