  • This paper deals with inspect algorithm using visual system. One of the major problems that arise during polymer production is the estimation of the noise of the color product.(bad pallets) An erroneous output can cause a lot of losses (production and financial losses). Therefore new methods for real-time inspection of the noise are demanded. For this reason, we have presented a development of vision system algorithm for the defect inspection of PE color pallets. First of all, in order to detect the edge of object, the differential filter is used. And we apply to the labelling algorithm for feature extraction. This algorithm is designed for the defect inspection of pallets. The labelling algorithm permits to separate all of the connected components appearing on the pallets. Labelling the connected regions of a image is a fundamental computation in image analysis and machine vision, with a large number of application. Also, we suggested vision processing program in window environment. Simulations and experimental results demonstrate the performance of the proposal algorithm.

  • A probe pin is a key component of LED inspection equipment. The probe pin makes contact with the LED electrodes and supplies an electric current. Because the mechanical and electrical homogeneity of the probe surface affects the service life and reliability, its characterization is essential. For this study, the hardness was measured using a micro-Vickers hardness test. Moreover, the thicknesses of the plating at different locations and the elemental compositions were examined using an FE-SEM. The uniformity of the plating was found to be acceptable because palladium was detected consistently throughout the tested domain. In addition, the hardness of the surface was determined to be higher than that of the typical palladium range, which is attributed to the use of undercoated nickel.

  • Activation products generated by photoneutrons in concrete shielding wall around electron linac were estimated for a high energy X-ray container cargo inspection system. Monte carlo code, MCNPX2.5.0 was used for reference system of 9MeV fixed type dual-direction container cargo inspection system installed at major harbors in Korea. Activation products inventory generated by photoneutron (n,$\gamma$) reaction are estimated, and then radiation dose rate is calculated from the results.

  • Recently, due to the aging of workers and the weakening of the labor base in the automobile industry, research on quality inspection methods through ICT(Information and Communication Technology) convergence is being actively conducted. A lot of research has already been done on the development of an automated system for quality inspection in the manufacturing process using image processing. However, there is a limit to detecting defects occurring in the automotive sunroof sealer application process, which is the subject of this study, only by image processing using a general camera. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a system construction method that collects image information using a infrared thermal imaging camera for the sunroof sealer application process and detects possible product defects based on the SVM(Support Vector Machine) algorithm. The proposed system construction method was actually tested and applied to auto parts makers equipped with the sunroof sealer application process, and as a result, the superiority, reliability, and field applicability of the proposed method were proven.

  • LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is widely used electronic product. It needs too many processes such as PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Vapor Deposition), Sputtering, Photo-lithography, Dry etch. Each process is important but inspection process is more important because most companies emphasis on the six sigma. Recently, LCD inspection system is composed with inlet, inspector, outlet air pads. LCD is inspected on air pad which is shooting air from air hole. This paper studies on pad design of air bearing for LCD inspection to minimize LCD fluctuation. This design is able to reduce fluctuation and then satisfies CCD inspectional range. Also inspection pad needs to adequate stable area.

Inspection for Large 2D machining product using robot vision (로봇비젼을 이용한 대형 2차원 가공물의 검사)

  • Generally, it is very difficult to inspect geometric shape of large 2D objects after machining. To maintain the accuracy for inspection, a robot vision is used to divide overall shape into several enlarged images, and image processing technique is applied to acquire one minute geometric contour. The inspection is to compare the NC data with the measured contour data by the vision system, and the algorithm is to rotate to minimize the maximum deviation coinciding two geometric centers. This paper experimentally shows that the proposed inspection algorithm is very useful fur a large machined object.

  • Recently, agricultural product of inferior qualify and cheap is imported form china, so domestic farmhouses go through difficulty. Moreover, consumption decreasing because of a new about carcinogen detect of chinese agricultural product. Information through certification system construction of domestic agricultural product is offered to customers for distinguish from chinese, and certain inspection standard for importation restriction should be ready to solve this problem. In this paper, we designed and implementation of AIGT system through adopting GAP of international standard for safety inspection of agricultural product and traceability. Also, we building of AIGT system through introduce of monitoring system and guidance as well as management system for offered to information by customer and helped farm management by producer.

Automated Visual Inspection System of Double Gear using Inspection System (더블기어 자동 시각 검사 시스템 실계 및 구현)

  • Mini Double Gears Frame is critical part of PDP and also produces couple hundred thousand every month. In the process of mass production, product inspection is very important process. Double Gear, one of the part of machine, was inspected by human eyes which caused mistakes and slow progress. To achieve the speed and accuracy the system was compensated by vision system which is inspecting automatically. The focus value is measured based on the fact that high contrast images have much high frequency edge information. High frequency term of the image is extracted using the high-pass filter and the sum of the high frequency term is used as the focus value. We used a Gaussian smoothing filter to reduce the noise and then measures the focus value using the modified Laplacian filter called a Sum modified Laplacian Focus values for the various lens positions are calculated and the position with the maximum focus value is decided as the focused position. The focus values calculated in various lens position showed the Gaussian distribution. We proposed a method to estimate the best focus position using the Gaussian curve fitting. Focus values of the uniform interval lens positions are calculated and the values are used to estimate the Gaussian distribution parameters to find the best focus position.
