농·특산물 구매만족도 향상을 위한 포장디자인 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on improving packaging design for Farm·Specialty purchase satisfaction)

  • This study clarified the correlation between the satisfaction of farm experience village visitors and the package design of farm specialty products and identified the factors to consider when improving the package design. It was found that the satisfaction with package design when purchasing farm specialty products affected the satisfaction of farm experience village visitors. In case of farm experience village visitors, they were more satisfied with the purchase when they were satisfied with the package design of farm specialty products they purchased. The results of analysis of correlation between the satisfaction of farm experience village visitors and the improvement of package design of farm specialty products showed that the important factors of package design are easiness of transport handling, easiness of storage, and functionality of packaging materials.

  • The paper presents the design of an optical profilometer, a device used for the reconstruction of the micro-geometry of mechanical parts in applications where high precision is needed. The design is based on Robust Design, a major' methodology for quality improvement of engineering systems. Several design solutions, namely different hardware and software setups of the device, are compared in order to select a configuration realising a desired trade-off between performance and cost. The peculiarity of the design strategy is the use of a computer model of the measurement process where the physical part of the process is simulated. This allows for an extensive exploration of the design space, thus opening the way to product innovation.

퍼스널 트레이닝 효과 향상을 위한 스마트 피트니스웨어의 상품기획 및 디자인 방향 연구 (Research on Planning and Design of Smart Fitness Wear for Personal Training Improvement)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트 피트니스웨어가 갖추어야 할 요건과 스마트 피트니스웨어의 수용 정도 및 기능 수요를 고찰하고, 이를 기반으로 퍼스널 트레이닝 효과 향상을 지원하는 피트니스용 스마트 스포츠의류의 상품기획 및 디자인 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전문 피트니스 트레이너를 심층 인터뷰하고 그 응답 자료에 대해 범주분석을 실시한 결과 5개의 범주와 13개 주제어를 도출하였다. 또한 일반 소비자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 스마트 피트니스웨어의 수용 정도와 상품개발에 필요한 기능 수요를 탐색하였다. 그 결과 전반적으로 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 차이보다는 운동의 관여도 및 운동관련 문화와 관련된 특성에 따라 스마트 피트니스웨어의 수용 정도에 차이가 있는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 스마트 피트니스웨어에 대한 기능 수요에 대한 차이점으로는 전문 트레이너의 경우 운동 효과의 과학적 향상에 중점을 두는 반면 일반 소비자는 운동 시 지속성을 고려한 기능을 중요시 하는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과를 종합하여 '심박 센싱, 근육 활성도 센싱, 부위별 운동 동작 각도 또는 자세 센싱, 운동량 센싱 등의 기능 탑재', '전문가 라인과 일반 라인별 컨셉 및 컨텐츠 개발', '압박 의류 형태로 디자인', '운동지역에 따른 상품개발의 차별화' 등의 상품기획 및 디자인 방향을 제시하였다.

중소 디자인 기업을 위한 제품 기획 프로세스 제안 : 유아욕조 디자인 콘셉트 개발 사례를 중심으로 (Suggestion of Product Planning Process for Small and Medium Sized Design Company : Focused on the Case of Baby Bathtub Design Concept Development)

  • 국내의 많은 중소 디자인 기업들은 기업의 생존과 성장을 목표로 독자적 제품 개발 시도하고 있으나, 이에 성공하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 이러한 원인으로는 제품 기획과 관련된 경험의 부족, 디자인 프로세스의 모범사례로 제시되는 대량의 데이터에 기반한 방법론을 중소기업의 현장에서 실천하는데 있어 현실적 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 중소 디자인 기업을 위한 방법론으로 사용자 참여 프로세스의 유용성을 제시하였다. 또한 실증적 사례연구로서 중소 디자인 전문기업 P사에서 실시한 사용자 FGD 방법을 제안하였다. 사례연구에서 나타난 프로세스는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사용자 FGD로 기존 유아욕조의 문제점 도출. 둘째, 사용자 심층인터뷰를 진행하여 다양한 계층의 사용자 의견을 수집. 셋째, 도출 아이디어를 KJ법으로 분석, 유사 요소로 그룹핑. 이를 통하여 사이즈, 재료, 안전, 기존제품 구매요인, 개선방향, 부가요소의 6가지 디자인 방향 및 세부 디자인 콘셉트를 도출하였다. 본 연구는 디자인 프로세스 중 디자인 방향성 설정 단계에 초점을 두고 진행되었다. 본 연구는 사례연구를 통해 P사의 FGD방법을 통한 중소기업 제품 기획 프로세스의 현실적인 검증성, 통합성, 신속성의 제고를 검증하였다. 이는 자본과 인력이 한정적인 중소기업에서 실행할 수 있는 현실적인 프로세스로서 가치가 있다.

PL에 근거한 LED 가로등의 결함 요소 발굴 및 분석 (Finding and Analysis of Defective Elements of an LED Streetlight Lamp Based on the Product Liability)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the range of defects mentioned in the Product Liability (PL) and to establish an objective basis and grounds for the analysis of accidents expected to happen by analyzing and presenting the external flame pattern and electrical characteristics of an LED streetlight lamp, a new lighting lamp. From the analysis of the cross-section of a cable carbonized by an external flame, it was observed that the wire's strand and insulation material had solidly adhered, and that greater voids were formed at the surface than at the center. Irregular carbide lumps were formed in the globe directly exposed to the flame, and the globe carbonized by the indirect flame showed characteristics that they had melted and flowed downward. It was found that the forward and backward resistances of the normal LED were approximately 1.74 [$M{\Omega}$] and 140 [$M{\Omega}$], respectively. The lamp burnt by the strong flame exhibited infinite forward and backward resistances and the LED did not emit light. The carbonized LED lamp was gray and exhibited fine delaminations. According to the Product Liability, a product defect signifies a simple product defect. Most of the defects were caused by the lack of stability, and the defect of the product itself occurred during the design and manufacture. The defects in warnings and markings include an insufficiency of handling manuals and warnings, expressive warranty violations, defective markings, etc. In order to prevent an accident resulting from a product, it is necessary to prepare safety warnings and documentation, establish clear-cut lines of liabilities, and subscribe insurances. However, it could be seen that important factors against the Product Liability were product improvement, response to compensation requests and law suits, credit restoration, etc.

중소기업의 디자인 권리 창출을 위한 터널 LED 조명 개발 (Rights of Design Development of External Design of LED LAMP)

  • 우수한 특허기술을 보유한 지역 기업들에게 매출 성장과 시장 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 디자인개발이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 이러한 중소기업의 요구를 해결하기 위하여 특허청과 충청북도의 매칭으로 지역 디자인 가치제고사업이 진행되고 있으며 이를 통해 디자인 가치를 향상시키고 있다. 본 연구는 S사에서 발주한 프로젝트로 '터널 내 환경에 적합한 LED LAMP 외관디자인 개발'을 사업수행 V사가 개발한 디자인으로, 특허기술을 바탕으로 외관 디자인개발을 성공적으로 수행함으로서 지원업체의 디자인 인지도와 제품의 경쟁력을 제고시키면서 시뮬레이션 개발과 함께 개량 특허를 창출한 사례이다. 터널내 LED LAMP의 효율적인 교체방법과 LED LAMP 반사 방법에 제안한 결과를 통해 수혜기업에서는 개인사업자에서 법인화를 진행하였고 제작 판매를 위해 제조기반시설 확충을 하여 현재 초기 제품이 완료되었다. 디자인과 특허의 융합으로 매출향상과 디자인 권리를 확보함으로써 기업 고유의 디자인 가치를 향상시켰다.

1인 가구의 소비성향 분석을 통한 홈퍼니싱 제품전략 연구 (A Study of Home-furnishing Products Strategy through the Consumption Tendency Analysis of Single Household)

  • Single households currently account for 26.5% of all households and their number is expected to continue to rise, reaching 34.5% by 2035. An analysis of the consumption trends and needs of single households shows that they are rising as a new consumer group with a focus on investment on the individual and favouring: small but high-tech products: efficient use of limited resources: safety and peace of mind: self-improvement and leisure. Products which meet such demands are having an impact on the growth of home-furnishing market. An analysis of companies in Korea's home-furnishing market, with examples like the lifestyle company IKEA, shows a variety of brands such as SPA brand, furniture specialist, distributor and character products. And yet most are OEM products which lack differentiated product lines and compete with similar display and distribution structure. We needs the Single household consumption tendency of home-furnishing market and differentiation strategy through product analysis. In order to increase the value of companies in the home-furnishing market, in addition to differentiated design, product competitiveness must aspire to higher customer satisfaction with easy assembly, innovation in logistics, innovative sales methods such as virtual-reality simulation for products and space, individually-tailored furniture for the needs of single household and products which combine smart technology. For home-grown home-furnishing brands to have competitiveness, they must leverage on the strengths of the industry, offering differentiated and competitive products in a wider range of areas with convergence functions as well as differentiation in consumer interface and application of advancing technology; in-depth product research is called for.

  • Evolutionary operation is a useful tool for improving full-scale manufacturing process by systematically changing the levels of the process variables without jeopardizing the product. This paper presents a system design for the evolutionary operation software called 'evolutionary optimizer'. Evolutionary optimizer consists of four modules: factorial design, many variables, mixture, and mean/dispersion. Context diagram, data flow diagram and entity-relationship modelling are used to systematically design the evolutionary optimizer system.

안전모 사용성 향상을 위한 성능 및 디자인 결정 요인에 관한 연구 (Determinants of Performance and Design for Improving Safety Helmet Usability)

  • A safety helmet is considered the last gear to protect workers from harmful and dangerous events occurring on industrial sites. Recently, interest in the importance of personal protective equipment design reflecting individual characteristics has been emphasized to improve usability and convenience. However, it has been found that if it is inconvenient to wear or has poor work efficiency, it will not be used well or will be used incorrectly. In this study, an investigation was performed with 35 questions, direct observation, and intensive interviews of construction workers to determine the inconvenience and problems of wearing safety helmets. Moreover, managers of 9 construction sites in 6 cities were asked about the performance and design of safety helmets. As a positive answer, it was found that the brim (awning) of the safety helmet was shortened to give the safety glasses a light-shielding function. In addition, an upward adjustment all-in-one type safety helmet was requested. On the other hand, it was revealed that negative answers felt uncomfortable due to the brim (awning) on the front of the helmet. Based on the survey results, a new helmet model suitable for construction site activities was presented, and wearability improvement determinants were discovered through performance and design improvement.

  • Since permanent magnet coupling transfers power by magnetic force without contact, it has little shock, vibration, noise. In case of overload, it protects a pump or a motor which is relatively important by slipping internally. In this study, failure analysis and test evaluation on the permanent magnet coupling have been proposed and the process that reliability of the product improves through design improvement has been presented. And failure cause of typical failure case has been investigated and improvement plan has been presented. Finally, reliability improvement is established by analysis of the test results of before and after acceleration test.
