아키텍처산출물 관리 시스템 개발 (Development of Architecture Products Management System)

  • 현재 국방부에서는 국방정보체계간 상호운용성을 보장하기 위해 아키텍처산출물을 쉽고 일관성이 있게 개발할 수 있는 국방아키텍처프레임워크와 개발된 아키텍처산출물을 저장하는 핵심아키텍처데이터모델을 개발하였다. 하지만 작성된 아키텍처산출물을 문서로 관리하기에는 많은 어려움이 존재함으로, 아키텍처를 모델링할 수 있고 모델링된 정보를 공통의 저장소에 관리할 수 있는 모델링 도구 및 리포지토리 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 국방아키텍처프레임워크와 핵심아키텍처데이터모델의 메타모델과 아키텍처산출물 작성 및 관리를 지원하는 아키텍처산출물 관리 시스템을 개발하였고 기존 시스템과 비교 평가하였다. 이를 통해 각 기관의 아키텍처개발자가 아키텍처산출물을 모델링 방법으로 보다 쉽고 일관성 있게 작성하고 관리할 수 있으며, 다양한 질의를 통해 시스템에서 관리되는 아키텍처산출물 정보를 유용하게 검색 및 조회하여 의사결정에 참조할 수 있다. 또한 작성된 아키텍처산출물을 통합하고 분석 및 비교하여 정보체계간 상호운용성과 비용 절감을 지원한다.

중소기업을 위한 최종 사용자 컴퓨팅 PDM 시스템 개발 (Developing an End-User Computing PDM System for Small and Medium Business)

  • This paper proposes a Product Data Management (PDM) system architecture that supports end-user computing for small and medium businesses (SMBs) in Korea to build and maintain efficient and sustainable information systems for their product development. Its open database with relational tables enables existing common application programs such as Microsoft office suites to access product data in PDM systems. In addition, the interactive query processor provided by database management systems helps design engineers to build ad hoc queries in standard SQL database language to response different data requirements during their product development. The PDM architecture with the open database allows design engineers or technical staffs in SMBs to build and maintain their application programs for product development by themselves. To show the feasibility of the proposed architecture, this study implemented a prototype PDM system based on the architecture and database, and represents real-world product data with the implemented PDM system.

  • In this paper, we propose a multi-layered architecture of workflow management systems based on CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture). The system aims to support product development processes in distributed environment. Many companies have started to adopt workflow management systems to manage and support their business processes. However, there are many problems in direct application of those systems to product development environments. These mainly resulted from the dynamic features of product development processes. It is strongly required to support dynamic processes as well as static and procedural ones in an integrated and consistent manner. To meet these requirements, a basic workflow management system has been developed as the core component of the integrated architecture. This performs the basic functions of workflow management system. Second, a dynamic workflow management system based on a bidding mechanism has been developed to manage processes that cannot be easily defined or are likely to be modified, Finally, an SGML workflow management system, which is the third layer in the architecture, has been developed to manage documents processing workflows by integration SGML documents contents and process information into the structured SGML document.

PDM 데이터베이스로부터 핵심성과지표를 추출하기 위한 정보 시스템 아키텍쳐 (An Information System Architecture for Extracting Key Performance Indicators from PDM Databases)

  • The current manufacturers have generated tremendous amount of digitized product data to efficiently share and exchange it with other stakeholders or various software systems for product development. The digitized product data is a valuable asset for manufacturers, and has a potential to support high level strategic decision makings needed at many stages in product development. However, the lack of studies on extraction of key performance indicators(KPIs) from product data management(PDM) databases has prohibited manufacturers to use the product data to support the decision makings. Therefore this paper examines a possibility of an architecture that supports KPIs for evaluation of product development performances, by applying multidimensional product data model and on-line analytic processing(OLAP) to operational databases of product data management. To validate the architecture, the paper provides a prototype product data management system and OLAP applications that implement the multidimensional product data model and analytic processing.

  • S/W product line is a S/W product or a set of S/W system, which has common functions. We can develop a specific S/W product, which satisfiesrequirements of a particular market segment and a mission in a specific domain by reusing the core asset such as the developed S/W architecture through the S/W product line. S/W development methodology based on the S/W product line can develop a S/W more easily and fast by reusing the developed S/W core asset. An advanced country of S/W technology selects S/W product line as a core field of S/W production technology, and support technology development. In case of USA, CMU/SEI (Carnegie Mellon University / Software Engineering Institute) developed product-line framework 4.0 together with the industry and the Ministry of National Defense. Europe is supporting the development of product line technology through ITEA(IT for European Advancement) program. In this paper, we aim to construct reference architecture of S/W product line for production of the S/W product line.

  • Since customer's demand is various and product life cycle is getting shorter, many manufacturing company is trying to reduce product development time and cost. For that reason they make an effort to design product on collaborative environment. The various activities in a product development are highly distributed. This distributed nature of the activities implies that teams will be working indifferent place and technical environments. Thus at a given time, teams might work on he same product from different perspectives. This will require efficient communication amongst the various individuals and the various softwaretools that are used by them. Therefore, there is a need for a computerized frame work that can support distributed design such that participants from different backgrounds collaborate towards one common goal. This paper presents the architecture of a collaborative design system. It then reports on the study of computerized frame work focused on collaboration for product development.

  • Software product line is a software product or a set of software system, which has common functions. Developed countries of software technology select software product line as a core field of software production technology, and support technology development. Europe is supporting the development of product line technology through ITEA(IT for European Advancement) program. However, industries in our country understand the necessity of software production technology based on product line concept for the purpose of increasing productivity, it is not sufficient to invest for this technology development. In this paper, we aim to construct the common architecture of software product line for production of the software product line.

  • 대량 생산은 오랫동안 다양한 제품 생산방법으로서 기업의 전략을 수립하는 데 있어 가장 중요한 생산 패러다임이었다. 하지만 기업의 경쟁 환경과 소비자의 요구가 다양화함에 따라 이제는 대량 생산이 가장 중요한 패러다임이 될 수 없다. 특히 소비자들의 요구사항은 더욱 다양해지며, 빠르게 변화하여 기업들은 소비자들의요구에 대응하기 힘들어 지고 있다. 대량 맞춤(Mass Customization)은 이런 흐름을 반영하여 가장 주목 받는 패러다임으로서 대량 맞춤은 고객의 요구에 맞춘 다양한 제품을 저렴한 비용으로 생산해 내는 것이 목적이다. 본 연구에서는 프로덕트 아키텍처 시스템(Product Architecture System)의 이론과 개념을 활용하여 대량 맞춤형 서비스를 실현하는 방법을 구체화하였고 이를 캠핑카의 내부 퍼니처 모델 중심으로 사례 연구하였다. 특히 기존에 기업에서 생산성을 중심으로 제품 플랫폼(Product Platform)과 모듈(Module)을 개발하던 것과는 달리, 소비자의 요구사항을 최우선으로 반영하여 제품 플랫폼(Product Platform)과 모듈(Module)을 개발하고 구성하는 방법을 제시하였고, 그 효용성에 대해 고찰하였다. 연구 결과로는 프로덕트 아키텍처 시스템의 내부 요인을 통해 디자인하고 외부 요인으로 결과물의 효과성을 검증하여 교체성, 재활용성, 라인업, 충전성 등에서 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다. 추후 프로덕트 아키텍처 시스템을 활용한 디자인 프로세스를 통해 추가적인 실증연구로 이어지길 기대한다.

The Development of a Financial Product Factory System

  • Product factory is a real-time financial product design system for the Internet customers. Recently, as the number of the Internet customers increases, the importance of the product factory becomes more emphasized. However, there is not much research performed regarding its definition, properties, requirements, nor implementation. In this research, we make a clear definition of product factory, and analyze the requirements of the system from the perspectives of functions and services, and we propose an architecture that reflects the analyzed requirements. In additions, we implemented a prototypical system based on the proposed architecture to prove the usefulness of this research.

Product Configuration Model 개념 기반의 함정 건조공수 추정 연구 (Construction Cost Estimation on the Initial Design Stage of Naval Ships based on a Product Configuration Model)

  • Many manufacturers define the system of a new product flexibility, and take advantage of previous-product information using the product configuration concept. Product configuration is an approach that defines the system of a new product centered on the product structure by referring to the previous-product information. In this paper, it is established how to apply the concept of a product configuration utilizing previous-ships information in construction cost estimation process systematically and effectively. For this, we define the advanced-construction cost estimation process based on a naval ship product model, and design construction cost estimating model. It is validated that this process and model have the applicability through the case study of the construction cost estimating of the mine-warfare ship.
