Software Development Effort Estimation Using Neural Network Model (신경망을 이용한 소프트웨어 개발노력 추정)

  • Area of software measurement in software engineering is active more than thirty years. There is a huge collection of researches but still no a concrete software cost estimation model. If we want to measure the cost-effort of a software project, we need to estimate the size of the software. A number of software metrics are identified in the literature ; the most frequently cited measures are LOC(line of code) and FPA(function point analysis). The FPA approach has features that overcome the major problems with using LOC as a measure of system size. This paper presents an neural networks(NN) models that related software development effort to software size measured in FPs and function element types. The research describes appropriate NN modeling in the context of a case study for 24 software development projects. Also, this paper compared the NN model with a regression analysis model and found the NN model has better estimative accuracy.

  • An increasing in quantity of multimedia data brought a new problem that expected data should be retrieved fast and exactly. The adequate representation is a key element for the efficient retrieval. For this reason, MPEG-7 standard was established for description of multimedia data in 2001. However, the content of the standard is massive and the approach method is not clear for real application system yet, because of properties of MPEG-7 standard that has to include a lot of potential cases. In this paper, we suggested implementation scheme of retrieval system with using of only visual descriptors and presented the performance results of developed system. From the result of developed system, MPEG-7 VIRS (Video/Image Retrieval System), we analyzed the retrieval results between using individual descriptor and using multiple descriptors, and showed a layout for real application system.

Optimization of Process Parameters of Die Slide Injection by Using Taguchi Method (다구치 법을 통한 다이슬라이드식 사출성형의 공정파라미터 최적화)

  • Die slide injection marvelously reduces the cost and time in processing plastic products because they can simplify the conventional process through eliminating additional process. However, this process must resolve some defects like whitening, resin infiltration, blowhole, resin overflow, etc. In this study, the process parameters of the injection molding are optimized by using the finite element method and Taguchi method. The injection molding analysis is simulated by employing the Moldflow insight 2010 code and the 2nd injection is by adopting the Multi-stage injection code. The process parameters are optimized by using the $L_{16}$ orthogonal array and smaller-the-better characteristics of the Taguchi method that was used to produce an airtight container (coolant reservoir tank) from polypropylene (PP) plastic material.rodanwhile, the optimum values are confirmed to be similar in 95% confidence and 5% significance level through analysis of variance (ANOVA). rooreover, new products and old products were compared by mdasuring the dimensional accuracy, resulting in the improvement of dimensional stability more than 5%.

  • An ontology as the core element of Semantic Web is a formal specification of a conceptualization of shared domain knowledge. The use of well-defined ontologies can increase the quality of interoperable information systems in the area of Semantic Web. However, in practice, it is not easy to develop high-quality ontologies which have no errors. Therefore, with methodologies for ontology design, various methods or tools for ontology analysis supporting for error-detection might be very helpful for ontology developers. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for analyzing the core constructs of ontology based on the Formal Concept Analysis and develop a tool that supports error-checking ontologies. Our approach can serve not only as a guidance to modify the existing ontologies, but also as a valuable tool in developing high-quality ontologies.

Isolation and Characterization of Dehydrin 1 (Dhn1) gene from Codonopsis lanceolata (더덕의 주근에서 유래한 Dehydrin 1 (Dhn1) 유전자의 분리 및 분석)

  • During the life cycle, plants have to suffer from various environmental stresses. A common element in response to many environmental stresses is cellular dehydration. Dehydrins are a family of proteins commonly induced by environmental stresses associated with low temperature or dehydration and during seed maturation drying. For the study in the defense mechanism against various stresses, a cDNA clone encoding a dehydrin gene was isolated from a cDNA library prepared from tab root mRNAs of Codonopsis lanceolata. The cDNA, designated ClDhn1, is 893 nucleotides long and has an open reading frame of 480 bp with a deduced amino acid sequence of 159 residues. The ClDhn1 amino acid sequence is highly hydrophilic and possesses two conserved repeats of characterized lysine­rich K­segment (KIKEKLPG), and a 7­serine residue stretch prior to the first lysine­rich repeat that is common to many dehydrins. The DEYGNP conserved motif is, however, modified in the sequence of ClDhn1 gene. The deduced amino acid sequence of ClDhn1 was compared with other plant dehydrinls and showed high homology with Solanum commersonii

  • The modelling technique on the terrain of real-world in geo-spatial information system is a primary element for geo-information processing. This paper is designed to make use of TIN in geo-spatial information system and study the development and application of high-precision 3-D spatial analysis technique applied to terrain features. According to this research, MODEL 3 applied to breakline in mild slope/steep slope and MODEL 2 applied to peak in complex region show relatively low RMSE. This consequence proves that these two models have high precision in comparison with other models. This study also finds out optimal routines in the estimation method of slope grade and in the construction method of surface. N_T, LSP_T and LSQ_T in mild slope, N_T in steep slope, and LSQ_T in complex region turn out to be the optimal routines for high-precision 3-D spatial analysis.

  • Sensor network configurations are for a specific situation or environment sensors capable of sensing, processing the collected information processors, and as a device is transmitting or receiving data. It is presently serious that sensor networks provide many benefits, but can not solve the wireless network security vulnerabilities, the risk of exposure to a variety of state information. u-Healthcare sensor networks, the smaller the sensor node power consumption, and computing power, memory, etc. restrictions imposing, wireless sensing through the kind of features that deliver value, so it ispossible that eavesdropping, denial of service, attack, routing path. In this paper, with a focus on sensing of the environment u-Healthcare system wireless security vulnerabilities factors u-Healthcare security framework to diagnose and design methods are presented. Sensor network technologies take measures for security vulnerabilities, but without the development of technology, if technology is not being utilized properly it will be an element of threat. Studies suggest that the u-Healthcare System in a variety of security risks measures user protection in the field of health information will be used as an important guide.

  • The medical instrument industry which is one of the high value added industry has been neglected on the various system and political support because it has been recognized as an unknown field to the public although it is the very easy-approaching field for the export market that minimize a technological gap between advanced country and Korea. Especially, the product design that is very important element for the efficient medical treatment and the psychological stabilization of patient is a typical field of lack of investment and support by the unconcern and lack of understanding of design. Therefore this research suggests the current problem of design with the general inquiry of internal and external market situation and domestic medical instrument industry and also it has the conclusion of an alternative proposal for the solution with the design development processing of a moving type-image diagnostic equipment. We will emboss the importance of design competitiveness, suggest the model and basic data to the medical instrument company that starts later, and be a role of inspiration for the lasting investible desire with this research.

  • Success of a semantic web application, currently base on web technology, depend on web ontology construction that provided rule and inference function about knowledge. For, this study compared the ontology construction methods that were already proposed, and analyzed, and investigated characteristics of semantic web and web ontology, investigated characteristics of semantic web and web ontology, and defined characteristics of web ontology as-based technology of a semantic web application and knowledge representation steps, and studied a technical element that related currently web technology, and proposed a web ontology construction method for a semantic web application with bases to these. Established web ontologies of various knowledge fields as applied the construction method that proposed. Also evaluate performance of web ontology through inference verification of web ontologies established, web ontologies evaluated performance of web ontology as used inference verification. According to this, we confirmed that proposed construction method that can establish the ontology suitable for semantic web application.

There is a place where it accomplishes the communication which is safe at the TRS from research which it sees it investigates group key distribution method which is an essential element. The method which it sees when it reduces a communication frequency, it stands but is the user, it proposes the efficient group key distribution method it will be able to accomplish.
