  • We have designed an embedded controller for the control of a diesel generator using an embedded system. The generator is monitored and controlled remotely via the internet in real-time. The proposed digital controller is designed to handle precisely the distortions and noises of the signals emanating from the diesel generator, and enables abnormal operation of the diesel generator to be notified to the remote manager using the Short Message Service (SMS) of the Internet, which enables the appropriate personnel to take action by remote control according to the incoming messages.

  • In this paper, In this paper, we describe the UAV system using image processing for autonomous quadcopters, where they can apply logistics, rescue work etc. we propose high-speed hovering height and posture control method based on state feedback control with CNN from camera because we can get image of the information only every 30ms. Finally, we show the advantages of proposed method by simulations and experiments.

  • In the case of using sensor in the industrial control systems, the location of sensor is not close to the system which utilizes the sensor data. Two main functions of intelligent sensor are data processing and communication. In this paper, we will show that the developed result of intelligent sensor, which process the sensor data inside of the sensor module, except for the communication function. For this, we refered to the Profibus and Fieldbus Foundation standard.

  • To control a continuous processing line, it is necessary to take the entire system into account. In this paper observers to estimate the line tension are discussed. Considering a tension as a external disturbance, a closed loop observers are designed. It becomes clear that the proposed tension control scheme has high accuracy performance and simplicity.

  • The realization of high quality robot control needs the improvement of computing speed of controller. In this paper, parallel processing method is considered for this purpose. A S/W algorithm for task scheduling is developed first, and then, an appropriate H/W structure is proposed. This scheme is applied to calculate inverse kinematics of PUMA robot. The simulation results show that the computing time when using three 8086/87's is reduced to 4.23 msec compared to 10 msec in case using one 8086/87.

  • We proposed the intelligent system to control prosthetic robot. The proposed intelligent system was used competitive network, SOFM and LVQ, and consisted of pre-processing part and associative part. A pre-processing part was processed EMG signal and associative part was outputted signal to control prosthetic robot. To verify the effectiveness, we adapted to 2 link manipulator for korean consonant.

  • In this paper, we propose a calculation method for fuzzy control based on quantized $\alpha$ -cut decomposition of fuzzy sets. This method is easy to be implemented in analog hardware. The effect of quantization levels on defuzzified fuzzy inference result is investigated. A few quantization levels are sufficient for fuzzy control. The hardware implementation of this calculation method and the defuzzificaion by gravity center method by PWM are also presented.

  • This paper describes a modification to the SACK (Selective Acknowledgement) Transmission Control Protocol's (TCP), called SACK TCP with Probing Device, SACK works in conjunction with Probing Device, for improving SACK TCP performance when more than half a window of data lost that is typical in handoff as well as unreliable media. It shows that by slightly modifying the congestion control mechanism of the SACK TCP, it can be made to better performance to multiple packets lost from one window of data.

  • Applications of dynamic position control are especially focused on cancellation of unknown disturbance against nonlinear dynamic plants. Control performance is technically dependent upon observation methodology of such disturbance signals. This paper presents a novel control strategy by using linear actuators based on CAN communication networks. Disturbance is measured from placing a ball on a flat plant and image processing technique is applied to observe dynamic position of a ball system. We devise a neural network based PI control system to realize robust control of the dynamic system.

  • The software GPS receivers based on the SDR technology provide the ability to easily adapt the other signal processing algorithms without changing or modifying the hardware of the GPS receiver. However, it is difficult to implement the software GPS receivers using a commercial processor because of the heavy computational burden for processing the GPS signals in real-time. This paper proposes an efficient GPS signal processing scheme to reduce the computational burden for processing the GPS signals in the software GPS receiver, which uses a fundamental notion compressing the replica signals and the encoded look-up table method to generate correlation values between GPS signals and replica signals. In this paper, it is explained that the computational burden of the proposed scheme is much smaller than that of the typical GPS signal processing scheme. Finally, the processing time of the proposed scheme is compared with that of the typical scheme, and the improvement in the aspect of the computational burden is also shown.
