Structural Semi-Join Operators for Efficient Path Processing in XML Databases (XML 데이터베이스에서 효율적인 경로처리를 위한 구조적 세미조인 기법)

  • The structural join is one of core operators for efficient processing of XML queries. It can be mainly used for path-represented XML queries as it efficiently retrieves the node pairs that form a hierarchical relationship (i.e., ancestor-descendant, Parent-child relationship) among large-scale XML nodes. However, the structural join algorithms still suffer potential overhead in the middle of processing of XML path queries. In addressing this problem, the structural semi-join is proposed as a novel operator that retrieves only the ancestor or descendant nodes as join results for efficient processing. In this paper, we describe the algorithms for the structural semi-join and present the methods of XML path processing based on the structural semi-join algorithms. The experimental results show that the structural semi-join algorithms are very efficient in processing XML path processing.

Development of the Roughing Path Measurement System for Footwear (신발 러핑 경로 측정기 개발)

  • For successful establishment of the roughing CAM system based on reverse engineering, it is necessary to develop the measurement method for generation of roughing path from a physical footwear model. In this study, the development of the roughing path measurement system is presented. It consists of 3 CCD cameras, image acquisition board and the roughing path measurement algorithm. The 3 CCD cameras capture images of the sidewall and the bottom of the footwear and, from two images, the outer and inner lines are extracted using image-processing algorithm. The roughing path measurement algorithm generates the roughing path which is reflected on the change of resolution according to the distance between the CCD camera and the measured point. The experimental results show that the developed system can measure the roughing path within the allowable roughing error range.

  • This paper proposes an enhanced projection candidate selection algorithm to improve the performance of the existing path prediction algorithm. Various user path prediction algorithms have previously been developed, but those algorithms are inappropriate for a real-time and close user path prediction environment. To resolve this issue, a new prediction algorithm has been proposed, but several problems still remain. In particular, this algorithm should be enhanced to provide much faster processing performance. The major cause of the high processing time of the previous path prediction algorithm is the high time complexity of its projection candidate selection. Therefore, this paper proposes a new path fragment management structure and an improved projection candidate selection algorithm to improve the processing speed of the existing projection candidate selection algorithm. This paper also shows the effectiveness of the algorithm herein proposed through a comparative performance evaluation.

  • 게임에서는 장애물이 가로 막고 있을 때 길 찾기 알고리즘이 요구된다. Path Finding Method 는 길과 장애물을 고려하여 목적지까지의 경로를 찾는 방법을 말한다. A* 알고리즘은 이런 복잡한 미로 찾기에 최적화된 Path Finding 알고리즘이다. 하지만, 모바일 같은 저비용 기기에서 A* 알고리즘을 사용하기엔 단순한 지형에서도 연산 부하가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상의 공간에서 Grid를 구축하여, 통행이 가능한 곳과 불가능한 곳을 나누어 최종 지점에 도달할 수 있도록 하는 방식을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 Path Finding Method 는 최종 지점이 막다른 길인 경우 가장 가까운 이동 가능한 경로로 길을 안내하도록 설계하여 예외 상황에 대처했다. 대표적인 길 찾기 알고리즘인 Dijkstra 알고리즘은 최소 비용을 고려해서 최단으로 가는 거리를 비교하여 길을 나타낼 수 있다. 하지만, Dijkstra 알고리즘 경우 비용이 양수가 아닌 음수의 경우 무한 루프에 빠지는 등 결과 값이 제대로 나오지 않을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 Path Finding Method 는 최소 비용을 노드별로 비교하는 방식이 아닌 초기 비용을 알 수 없는 분야에 쉽게 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 Path Finding Method 를 적용하여 Web 게임을 제작하는 것에 성공하였다. 향후, Path Finding Method 결과에 위치 정렬 알고리즘을 적용하여, 중복된 지역을 가는 확률을 최소화하면서 정리된 Path 가 돌출되도록 연구할 예정이다. 본 논문의 Path Finding Method 은 게임 개발 분야에 적극 기여되길 바란다.

  • Our research is different form traditional to have some large LED screen grouping together to constitute multi-vision technique. In this paper, we purpose a method of using k-path diffusion method to build connect between the devices and find an optimal data transmission path. In second half of this paper, through practical application, we using this technique transmitting data successfully and achieving a simple Multi-vision effect. This technique possess smart devices and Wifi P2P's features, these features improve system's dynamic and decentralized processing ability make our technique has high scalability.

A Study on the Partial Path Loss Model By Using the Free Space and Rata Path Loss Model (자유 공간 모델과 하타 모델을 이용한 구간별 경로 손실 모델 설정에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we obtained the path loss characteristics in the 850 MHz for Russia area by using the free space path loss model and Okumura-Hata path loss model. In order to extract the additional path loss model parameter from the new Russian regional properties, the mean square error technique is used to obtain the correction factor. According to the obtained correction factor, the differences for the free space and Hata path loss model are 17, 6 dB in the 5 ~ 10 Km, 28, 14 dB in the 10 ~ 15 Km, and 35, 18 dB in the 15 ~ 20 Km. By applying the correction factors, the appropriate partial path loss models for the measured Russain area are proposed.

Suffix Array Based Path Query Processing Scheme for Semantic Web Data (시맨틱 웹 데이터에서 접미사 배열 기반의 경로 질의 처리 기법)

  • The applying of semantic technologies that aim to let computers understand and automatically process the meaning of the interlinked data on the Web is spreading. In Semantic Web, understanding and accessing the associations between data that is, the meaning between data as well as accessing to the data itself is important. W3C recommended RDF (Resource Description Framework) as a standard format to represent both Semantic Web data and their associations and also proposed several RDF query languages in order to support query processing for RDF data. However further researches on the query language definition considering the semantic associations and query processing techniques are still required. In this paper, using the suffix array-based indexing scheme previously introduced for RDF query processing, we propose a query processing approach to handle ${\rho}$-path query which is the representative type of semantic associations. To evaluate the query processing performance of the proposed approach, we implemented two different types of query processing approaches and measured the average query processing times. The experiments show that the proposed approach achieved 1.8 to 2.5 and 3.8 to 11 times better performance respectively than others two.

Fast Road Edge Detection with Cellular Analogic Parallel Processing Networks (도로 윤곽 검출을 위한 셀룰러 아나로직 병렬처리 회 로망(CAPPN) 알고리즘)

  • The aim of this work is the real-time road edge detection using the fast processing of Cellular Analogic Parallel Processing Networks(CAPPN). The CAPPN is composed of 2D analog cell way. If the dynamic programming is implemented with the CAPPN, the optimal path can be detected in parallel manner Provided that fragments of road edge are utilized as the cost inverse(benefit) in the CAPPN-based optimal path algorithm, the CAPPN determines the most plausible path as the road edge line. Benefits of the proposed algorithm are the fast processing and the utilization of optimal technique to determine the road edge lines.

  • Analog CPPN-based optimal road boundary detection algorithm for autonomous vehicle is proposed. The CPPN is a massively connected analog parallel array processor. In the paper, the dynamic programming which is an efficient algorithm to find the optimal path is implemented with the CPPN algorithm. If the image of road-boundary information is utilized as an inter-cell distance, and goals and start lines are positioned at the top and the bottom of the image, respectively, the optimal path finding algorithm can be exploited for optimal road boundary detection. By virtue of the parallel and analog processing of the CPPN and the optimal solution of the dynamic programming, the proposed road boundary detection algorithm is expected to have very high speed and robust processing if it is implemented into circuits. The proposed road boundary algorithm is described and simulation results are reported.

  • 본 연구는 regular path query를 효율적으로 처리하는 디스크 기반 시스템을 만들기 위해서는 그래프 데이터를 효율적으로 저장하여야하며, regular path query 수행 시 발생하는 cost가 작도로 하는 evaluation algorithm이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 그래프데이터 저장 방법을 제안하고, regular path query 수행시 발생하는 cost 및 오버헤드를 분석한다.
