구아바 잎 추출액을 이용한 직물의 천연염색 III - 한지면직물의 염색성과 기능성 - (Natural Dyeing of Fabrics with Guava (Psidium guajava L.) Leaf Extract III - Dyeability and Functional Property of Hanji Cotton Fabrics -)

  • The natural dyeing of hanji cotton fabrics with guava leaf extract was investigated. The temperature and time of dyeing were $40^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$ for eighty minutes, respectively. In addition, the dyebath has been set at pH 5. Sn pre-mordanted fabrics showed the highest K/S value. Regardless of dyeing temperature, K/S values were high when Al, Cu, Fe-mordanted fabrics were dyed in post-mordanting and Sn-mordanted fabrics in pre-mordanting. The dyeing equilibrium was shown at the fourth time of repeated dyeing. In the processing of hanji cotton fabrics, K/S value was high when hanji cotton fabric was treated with soybean milk at $90^{\circ}C$. Similar K/S value of dyeing was shown when fabrics were processed with chitosan, regardless of dyeing temperature. High K/S value of dyeing was seen when fabrics processed with gallnut tannin at 40. Fabrics dyed with acidic water extract showed yellowish color. Fabrics dyed with alkaline water extract showed reddish color, and fabrics dyed with ethanol extract showed greenish yellow color. In case of Sn-mordanted fabrics, the washing fastness level was between 3 to 4, and other dyed fabrics showed low fastness. The dry cleaning fastness also showed very excellent result with level 4-5. The rubbing fastness of the fabrics was better in dry rubbing than in wet rubbing. For the light fastness, all dyed fabrics showed low fastness. For antibacterial activity, the dyed fabrics with guava leaf extract showed 99.9% of high antibacterial activity. Hanji cotton fabric maintained certain deodorization in the state of raw fabric. All dyed fabrics showed higher UV protection rate than control fabric.

중년여성의 복부비만관리 프로그램 효과 (A Study on the Effects of Abdominal Obesity Management Program in Middle Aged Women)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the effects of obesity management program in food attitude and food habit, body composition(body fat ratio, body fat weight, lean body mass, total body water), abdominal girth(waist, hip, thigh), and serum lipid level(cholesterol, low density lipoprotein, triglyceride, phospholipid, NE fatty acid, high density lipoprotein) of middle aged women. Data for the study were collected from July 4 to August 25, 2000. The study objects were 20 middle aged women(10 controls and 10 experimental objects) from 40 to 50 years old who had body fat ratio more than $30\%$ and waist girth more than 80cm. The results were as follows: 1. Similarity test between experimental group and control group processed by serum HDL level showed the significant difference(t=3.25, p=0.004), but that processed by age, body weight, body fat ratio, body fat weight, lean body mass, total body water, waist girth, hip girth, thigh girth, cholesterol level, LDL level, triglyceride level, NE fatty acid level, food attitude and food habit score showed no significant difference(p>0.05). These findings imply that the two groups are similar in the sample distribution. 2. The effects of the abdominal obesity management program The obtained results indicate that the abdominal obesity management program in middle aged women changes the food attitude & the food habit. decreases the body fat ratio & the body fat weight and increases the lean body mass, and decreases the girth of waist & hip and the serum level of cholesterol & LDL. Therefore, it is concluded that the abdominal obesity management program can be applied for nursing intervention to decrease the body fat weight and abdominal obesity.

굴패각의 물리화학적 특성 및 소성가공 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on physicochemical and calcination processed characteristic of oyster shell)

  • 본 연구에서는 버려지는 굴패각을 상수도관 내부의 부식방지를 위한 세라믹 코팅제의 원료물질로 활용하고자 굴패각의 물리화학적 특성 및 소성가공 특성에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 굴패각은 92.08%가 탄산칼슘($CaCO_3$)으로 이루어져 있었으며, 분쇄된 굴패각 입자의 형태는 대부분 타원형 형태를 나타내었다. 그리고 소성 처리된 굴패각의 특성은 소성온도가 높고 소성시간이 경과할수록 무게감소량 및 칼슘함량이 증가하는 경향을 나타내어 소성온도를 높이고 입자크기를 작고 균일하게 할수록 소성가공이 효율적인 것으로 나타났다. 이에 소성가공 처리된 굴패각은 정수장 및 상하수도관의 내부 부식방지를 위한 세라믹 코팅제의 원료물질로써 재활용이 가능할 것으로 판단하였다.

구연산과 구아검 첨가 냉면의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Naengmyeon Noodle Containing Citric Acid and Guar Gum)

  • Purpose: The consumption of noodles has increased domestically. However, noodles with high carbohydrate content can cause an increase in blood glucose compared with other foods. Therefore, in this study, Naengmyeon with high resistant starch was prepared for decreasing blood glucose by the addition of 0.5% citric acid (CN), 1% guar gum (GN) or 0.5% citric acid and 1% guar gum (CGN), and then it was incubated in a refrigerator for 3 days, and stored in a freezer for 1 month. Methods: The quality characteristics of these Naengmyeon noodles was evaluated based on total starch, resistant starch, water absorption, cooking loss, turbidity, in vitro starch hydrolysis, and in vivo glucose response. Results: There was no significant difference in the total starch, cooking loss, and turbidity. The resistant starch of GN (1.70%) and CGN (1.84%) was significantly increased when compared with that in Naengmyeon with no additives (N) and CN. In terms of water absorption, CN (86.01%) was the lowest in samples, followed by GN (92.17%), N (94.20%), and CGN (99.16%). CGN with high resistant starch was the lowest in in vitro starch hydrolysis in samples. However, it had no effect on the in vivo glucose response. In vitro starch hydrolysis exhibited a significant positive correlation (r=0.533; p<0.01) with in vivo glucose response. Conclusion: Therefore, future studies are needed to establish the standard for resistant starch contents in processed carbohydrate foods for delaying the increase in blood glucose. If this standard is established, it might help to develop processed foods for diabetic patients.

도공지 물성 변화와 IPA에 의한 잉크 유화가 인쇄 모틀에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Properties Changing of Coated Paper and Ink Emulsion of IPA on Printed Mottle)

  • Printed mottle of coated paper is one of the most common phenomenon and the most difficult problem in offset printing. Offset printing is processed mainly processed by the attractive properties between water and oil, so all inks for off-printing must work with dampening solution(water). It may cause the emulsion on the printing nip from the printing pressure. This study aimed to investigate the effect of emulsified inks on print mottle from emulsified cyan ink by force with each different IP A contents. We measured the print mottle by densitometer and image analysis method. The emulsified inks also give effect to now properties of inks and it caused more ink transfer rate, however, it caused low density of inks. Moreover the emulsified inks were spreaded to around of dots and cause the thinning density on the non-printing area like print mottle. The results showed that the emulsified inks also cause scumming on the printing result with little mistake of adjusting dampening solution and mostly decreasing dot reproduction. So we could find out the obvious effect of emulsified inks to print mottle.

  • 본 논문은 수직형 정수처리시설 내의 유량, 압력, 수위 및 수온 등의 데이터 취득과 무선 환경에서의 실시간 모니터링을 통해 스마트 정수장 구현의 기반을 마련하고자 한다. 현장 적용 전 2.45GHz 대역의 Zigbee 기반 센서노드 및 게이트웨이를 제작하여 검증하였다. 센서로부터 취득된 데이터는 데이터 처리장치로 전송되고, 처리된 데이터는 운영관리용 PC 뿐만 아니라 모바일에서도 모니터링 가능하도록 구현하였다. 또한, 전파환경 분석과 송수신 속도 분석 등의 적용성을 분석하였으며, 이를 통해 통신망 성능분석 및 모바일 기기를 활용한 원격 모니터링 감시체계를 구현함으로서 저비용, 고효율의 USN 기반 분산형 용수공급시스템을 구축하고자 한다.

해양심층수를 이용한 구강청정제의 효과 (THE EFFECT OF MOUTH RINSE PRODUCTS CONTAINING DEEP SEA WATER)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of mouthrinse products containing deep sea water. We used original deep sea water(DSW) and processed deep sea water desalinated by reverse osmosis at one time(DDW-1), by reverse osmosis at two times(DDW-2) and concentrated by reverse osmosis(CDW). We made 2 kinds of mouthrinse products containing CDW and other agents for smell and taste and one product without deep sea water. The negative control was distilled water. In vivo study, the dental plaque index scores and the gingival index scores were reduced after 4 weeks mouthrinsing three times daily with 4 kinds of deep sea water and 3 kinds of mouthrinse products(p<0.05). The pH of dental plaque in 1 minute after mouthrinsing was not higher than 5.5 in all solutions, but the pH in 20 minutes after mouthrinsing was higher than 5.7 in DSW, CDW and 3 kinds of products which had higher mineral contents. In vitro study, the mouthrinse solutions containing the higher mineral contents were also the more effective in reduction of methyl mercaptan which is one of the causes of halitosis. The 2 kinds of products containing deep sea water killed Streptococcus mutans(ATCC 25175) in culture plates in one minute. These results indicate the usability of deep sea water in mouthrinses for oral hygiene management.

농축물의 Benzo($a$)pyrene 함량 측정을 위한 전처리 방법의 개선 (Improving Method of Pre-treatment for Detection Benzo($a$)pyrene Contents in Concentrates)

  • I assessed the B($a$)P content from the Ginseng extract, Red ginseng extract, and Ssangwha extract which have high viscosities. It wasn't easy to extract oil from these samples, consequently measuring of B($a$)P was difficult. In order to know the exact detecting contents, I injected standard material of B($a$)P to the above extractions and pre-treated for measurement but it was also difficult to measure of contents exactly. To improve of detecting method, I removed mucinous materials using a 85% phosphoric acid solution or 10% citric acid solution and then processed continuously with $60^{\circ}C$ hot water. The analysis revealed that extracting the samples contained B($a$)P determined the rate of each 70%, 55%, 67% could increase. As a result the detecting method of B($a$)P contents could be improved.

물(Aqua)을 이용한 지속가능한 가구디자인에 대한 연구 (Study on Aqua with Sustainable Furniture Design)

  • Sustainable furniture designs are expressed through reutilization, reuse or redesign of the whole of part of natural materials and existing products. These designs contain natural emotions and show those propensities such as uncertainty, integrity, essentiality and experimental natures. Designs that use natural materials such as wood, bamboo, cork, plants, stones and water have sufficient beauty in themselves and thus these materials are not specially processed but their essence is pursued in those designs. Of those materials, the natural material water is used to pursue the essence of aqua while presenting a new furniture design through an experimental method. The circularity of aqua shares its meaning with the circularity of sustainable designs. In addition, the liquidity of aqua will be grafted onto IT technology to express variable shapes in order to present a new direction of furniture designs.

동물에서 자기 공명 영상 진단의 물리적 원리 (Physical Principles of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Animal)

  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an imaging technique used to produce high quality images of the inside of the animal body. MRI is based on the principles of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and started out as a tomographic imaging technique, that is it produced an image of the NMR signal in a thin slice through the animal body. The animal body is primarily fat and water, Fat and water have many hydrogen atoms. Hydrogen nuclei have an NMR signal. For these reasons magnetic resonance imaging primarily images the NMR signal from the hydrogen nuclei. Hydrogen protons, within the body align with the magnetic field. By applying short radio frequency (RF) pulses to a specific anatomical slice, the protons in the slice absorb energy at this resonant frequency causing them to spin perpendicular to the magnetic field. As the protons relax back into alignment with the magnetic field, a signal is received by an RF coil that acts as an antennae. This signal is processed by a computer to produce diagnostic images of the anatomical area of interest.
