The purpose of this study is to investigate how free inquiry activities affects the scientific process skills and scientific attitudes of 5th and 6th of elementary school students. For this study, 265 elementary students from 5th and 6th grade in Seoul were selected. In comparison group 130 students were implemented and to the experimental group 135 students who did not the free inquiry activities were implemented. The result of this study is as follows: First, curiosity was the most affective factor that motivate free inquiry activities and made them select their topics. Most of the students invested for the inquiry activity in less than 3 weeks. They had some help in every stages. Students became interested in free inquiry activities because they learned new facts and enjoyed doing experiments and they wanted to continue for the same reasons. Second, free inquiry activities had little effect on the basic science process skills of the experimental group, compared to the control group at the significant difference of p=0.05. Third, free inquiry activities had considerable effect on the integrative inquiry process skills of the experimental group, compared to the control group at the significant difference of p=0.05. Fourth, the result of the post-test of the experimental group showed that free inquiry activities had no effect on scientific attitudes at the significant difference of p=0.05. In conclusion, free inquiry activities will be much more effective in developing integrative inquiry process skills than in developing basic scientific process skills and scientific attitudes.

Various organizational factors effect successful implementation of IT enabled business transformation. Among them, the most critical success factor is deemed to overcoming change management problem. Lots of studies have been made on Implementation methodologies and business process formalizations to encourage organizational members to accept new business process changes. However, the logic or process redesign still depends on qualitative problem solving techniques mostly depending on basically human intuition such as brainstorming. cause-and-effect analysis. and so on. In this paper, we focused on developing analytic framework to design to-be business process structure. which can complement qualitative problem solving procedures. With effective use of IT as an enabler, we provide algorithmic framework applicable to designing various business process changes such as process automation, business process resequencing, and more radical process integration. The framework follows dynamic programming approach in the literature, which is based on the decision making paradigm of organizations to abstract business processes as quantitative decision models. As such, our research ran fill the gap of limited development of theory based analytic methodologies for business process design, by providing objective rationale to reach the consensus among the organizational members including senior management.

Effects of fabrication process variations on impedance of microelectrodes integrated on a neural probe were examined through equivalent circuit modeling and SPICE simulation. Process variation and the corresponding range were estimated based on experimental data. The modeling results illustrate that the process variation induced by metal etching process was the dominant factor in impedance variation. We also demonstrate that the effect of process variation is frequency dependent. Another process variation that was examined in this work was the thickness variation induced by deposition process. The modeling results indicate that the effect of thickness variation on impedance is negligible. This work provides a means to predict the variations in impedance values of microelectrodes on neural probe due to different process variations.
The following study has been undertaken to build QIP (Quality Improvement Process) of an inner-layer process in a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing plant. The objective of the study is stabilization and optimization of the process through quality improvement. To do that, defective factors in process are gathered by the cause and effect analysis and classified by PFD (Process Flow Diagram), key factors are found out by PFMECA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Criticalty Analisis), DOE(Design of Experiments) is a, pp.ied to those key factors to optimize the process, SPC (Statistical Process Control) chart is used to maintain the optimal conditions of the process and to improve quality continuously, and a quality management system is developed to improve quality mind and quality system for the PCB jmanufacturing plant. Overall, QIP is established to improve quality for the PCB manufacturing plant in the study.
Effect of activation energy and crystallization kinetics of polyethylenes (PEs) on the dynamics and stability has been investigated by changing rheological properties and crystallization rate in film casting process. The effect of changes of these properties has been shown using a typical example of short-chain branching (SCB) in linear polyethylenes. SCBs in linear polymers generally lead to the increase of the flow activation energy, and to the decrease of the crystallization rate, making polymer viscosity lower in the case of equivalent molecular weight. In general, the increment of the crystallinity of polymers under partially crystallized state helps to enhance the process stability by increasing tension, and lower fluid viscoelasticity possesses the stabilizing effect for linear polymers. It has been found that the fluid viscoelasticity plays a key role in the control of process stability than crystallization kinetics which critically depends on the cooling to stabilize the film casting process of short-chain branched polymers operated under the low aspect ratio condition.
Digital information society shows a variety of contents of cross-categorial digital media in their inner or outer forms and concepts of the artistic aspects. In order to cope with such a complicated, unexpected trend in digital media and its industry, a new approach in the design process needs to be developed and adjusted with the new equipment of the creativity-thinking process of 'the Multi-Sensory Device (MSD),' 'the Multi-Dimensional Device (MDD),' and 'the Storytelling Device (SD)' in the Prism Effect-based Creativity-Thinking Process (PECTP). The PECTP is in principle designed to practically work with the four distinct techniques: 1) Physical Activity, 2) Linguistic Activity, 3) Visual Activity, and 4) Complex Activity. Consequently, this thesis notes that the nature of the cross-categorial design contents is necessarily non-directional since the creativity power inside the Prism Effect results in openness and diversity.

The current study investigated the friction property of angle and width effect for micro-scale grooved crosshatch pattern on SKD11 steel surface against bearing steel using pin-on-disk type. The samples fabricated by photolithography process and then these are carry out the electrochemical etching process. We discuss the friction property due to the influence of a hatched-angle and a width of groove on contact surface. We could be explained the lubrication mechanism for a Stribeck curve. So It was found that the friction coefficient depend on an angle of the crosshatch on contact surface. It was thus verified that micro-scale crosshatch grooved pattern could affect the friction reduction. Also, it is play an important a width of groove to be improved the friction property. I was found that friction property has a relationship between a width and an angle for micro-grooved pattern.
This study empirically analyzes the impact of inventory management performance on the energy efficiency in Korean petrochemical companies. The concept of the distance function is used to define the energy efficiency and the estimation of the distance function is performed using the stochastic frontier analysis. The inventory turnover is selected as the variable indicating the inventory management performance of the company. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the inventory turnover has a positive impact on energy efficiency. Second, during the period over 2011~2015, while the gap in energy efficiency among the companies expanded, the average energy efficiency decreased. Third, the average energy efficiency in upstream process companies was greater than downstream process companies and the gap in energy efficiency among downstream process companies was greater than upstream process companies. Fourth, the average marginal effect of inventory turnover on energy efficiency increased gradually from 2011 to 2015. Finally, the average marginal effect of inventory turnover in downstream process companies was greater than upstream process companies, and the gap in the marginal effect of inventory turnover among downstream process companies was greater than upstream process companies. These results together imply the importance of inventory management in terms of energy efficiency.
