Faced with increasing competitive pressures to reduce time-to-market, many business organizations have recognized that shortening the design cycle by taking full advantage of their intellectual property is inevitable in maintaining their market share. This paper describes a knowledge management system for machine tool design. Product structuring, change management, and complex design knowledge management are possible through the developed system. The system can speed up the design process by making necessary data instantly available as it is needed and keeping track of all the relevant design information and knowledge including individual decisions, design intentions, documents, and drawings.

In structural design procedure, The procedure of member selection manages complex data relationship and reflects structural expert's knowledge. It is a difficult problem to construct an effective system with the conventional l programming technique. Knowledge_based s!'stem is a software system capable of supporting the explicit representation of expert's knowledge in member selection process through member data and reasoning mechanisms. This study describes useful methodology for structuring knowledge and representing relation between member data and knowledge. And this study shows the application of this member for member selection in the steel structural design.

Recently, a study on the commercialization of Rope type Platform Safe Door (RPSD) technology has commenced. The study focuses on RPSD, in which a rope screen ascends to allow safe passage from the platform to the transit vehicle in aboveground stations. Currently, a pilot installation has taken in place with Daegu Metro Line 2 in MoonYang station starting from March of 2013. However, there is a need to select an appropriate pilot installation's object for the improvement in the future RPSD. An appropriate designation would correspond with the needs of the railroad corporation and as a historic railway platform with safe facilities. This study tried to usa Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the priority of the KTX stations to attain a list of appropriate designations for future RPSD installations by analyzing the followings: management of the facilities, operational risks, and intent of business projects. As a case study, it was applied to the evaluation of the KTX stations. For the application, it used relative measurement to calculate the weight of upper level structuring, and absolute measurement for low level structuring instead of pairwise comparisons.

Modern enterprise may be in need of developing the right application programs under rapidly changing business environment in fast time-to-market. But Most of enterprise without business process mechanism are very hard to develop the application needed in time when it will be changing their business. To solve this problem, we propose the business process framework based on the closed architecture. This approach is to develop the right application with reusing software modules in time and easily under rapid business process changing/improving through mapping BPM(Business Process Model), SOA(Service Oriented Architecture), and CBD(Component Based Development). we also define 5-Layers of BPF(Business Process Framework), and BNF(Backus Naur Form) for structuring BPF.

The objective of this paper is to introduce to development of resource planning system of footwear manufacturing. The system development is to be done separately by module and each of which makes interface possible. And the final goal of the system development is to combine those modules to be ERP system covering all works from order to make, shipment, accounting. First, in this case study, introduce analysis of existing business flow and design of standard business process for development of systems. Second, describe in and out of the standard business process for shoes production and information management. Third, basic structure and design of the total system flow, configuration of completed 6 sub-systems of developing total 13 sub-system are presented. Fourth, function of software modules and principal algorithm and basic data structuring techniques o the 6 sub-systems are explained. Finally, hereafter implementation and development plans are presented.

최근 기존 정보시스템에 고객이나 사용자의 다양한 요구사항이나 기업의 환경 변화를 반영하여 새로운 정보시스템으로 재구축하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 이를 통해 기업들에서 경쟁 우위를 선점함으로써 보다 우세한 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 정보시스템 재구축을 위한 프로세스 모델링(Process Modeling)과 데이터 모델링(Data Modeling)을 체계적으로 수행하는 방안을 제시하고, 이를 실제로 적용한 사례를 보여준다. 정보시스템의 전체적인 관점에서의 요구사항 및 기존 정보시스템의 미비사항을 분석하여 정보화 대상을 추출하는 프로세스 모델 분석(Process Model Analysis) 단계와 정보화 대상을 개념 모델로 전환하는 논리 데이터 모델링(Logical Data Modeling) 단계, 실제 컴퓨터에 저장하여 사용하는 물리 데이터 모델링(Physical Data Modeling) 단계로 구성된다.

The mechanical structures mounted on vehicles or aircrafts are subject to random accelerations, such as earthquakes, at the base, and their responses have been calculated through spectrum analysis. However, this method poses a challenge during the synthesis of the responses owing to the loss of the vibration phase. It is necessary to evaluate the time history results to obtain the exact responses; therefore, an efficient technique is proposed to solve this issue. The present technique involves constructing a superelement using the sub-structuring method and finding solutions for this superelement. The finite element model (FEM) was substituted by a superelement, which was simplified into one element with selected nodes. Comparing the numerical results of the superelement with the time history responses for the original finite element model, the two solutions agree well despite the fact that the computation time of the proposed technique has been greatly shortened.

I studied on the application of creativity to reading instruction in this paper. Reading strategies and creative thinking skills are categorized. And these are incorporated in the time process of reading instruction. In pre-reading process, Using Prior Knowledge and Reasoning of reading strategies are used and these are incorporated in Fluency and Creativity of the divergent thinking skill. In reading process, Increasing Sensitivity to Text Elements with the Highest Information Load and Structuring and Recognizing Structures of reading strategies are used and these are incorporated in Flexibility and Creativity of the divergent thinking skill. In post-reading process, Reasoning of reading strategies are used and these are incorporated in Creativity of the divergent thinking skill and convergent thinking skill.

This study investigates the patterns of labor market polarization and analyzes the characteristics and roles of regional labor market in the structuring process of the polarization in the metropolitan areas of Korea. The labor market polarization plays a role of key mechanism for deepening social exclusion in the area through expanding low-pay jobs and working poor. It is of great significance to adopt a spatial approach of local labor market in order to understand underlying dynamics of labor market polarization. Especially it is necessary to develop a more differentiated and systematic policy options based on the analysis of labor market polarization in the metropolitan areas of Korea. It is because understanding spatial differentiation of labor market dynamics is essential to figure out the structuring processes of poverty and sociall exclusion in the metropolican labor market in Korea.

In a distributed system environment based on a service-oriented architecture, separate systems collaborate to achieve the goals of the entire system by using services provided other systems. A service quality violation from using one service can cause runtime system failure in the environment. The existing self-adaptation methods follow fault tolerance mechanism that responds to a failure after a service quality violation. In other words, these methods are limited to responsive action. Therefore, a service-dependability-case based self-adaptation mechanism is necessary to preserve the dependability of the self-adaptive system. This paper demonstrates that the service-dependability-case based self-adaptation mechanism is better than QoS(quality of service)-based self-adaptation with fault tolerance to preserve the dependability of the self-adaptive system. Additionally, this paper suggests a method to present and analyze service dependability by using GSN(Goal Structuring Notation) which is the existing modeling method for the presentation of assurance cases, an action mechanism adapted using an analysis result of service-dependability-cases, a methods of leveraging the service-dependability-case based self-adaptation mechanism by following the service's life cycle, and the framework architecture including the major components and the interactions between the components in the control loop of the self-adaptation process.
