Fast fashion companies have generated enormous amounts of clothing and large quantities of unsold or short-lived clothing end up in the landfill. As if to counter fast fashion, sustainable fashion has arisen for environmentally friendly garments at different levels from the fiber stage to production stage. However it is still fraught with uncertainty of systems in the industry. Therefore, this study proposed a system to create re-valued clothing from recycled garments for retailers. The target companies are large-sized retailers like Levi's, Polo, Gap, or J-Crew which are consistently producing basic items such as Levi's 501 or Classic Polo shirts with middle-prices. At the material stage, this study recommended additional requirements of designing a garment with a long life cycle based on criteria of an ideal garment developed by Patagonia clothing company. Then, this study explored innovative ways that retailers might connect with consumers to allow direct interaction between them in terms of the process of collecting used clothes. Using recycled clothing as a source material, this study strove to offer a process of redesign where the concept of 'waste to fashion' is developed as reconstructions where old forms are transformed into new ones.
Since the bank managers were accustomed to be under the goverment policy and control so far, all what they had to do were just to follow the government policy and wait for customers. These usual practices resultedin neglection of concerns for innovation and competitive power. However, it currently happens the change of business environment such as the liberalization of interest rates and the open finance market policy. Thus, it is necessary for the bank managers to have a concern on that situation for the improvement of profitability through productivity and cost-down. The bank managers are trying to set out an innovation strategy to cope with this situation. An innovation strategy should be based on its own characteristics of banking business. The banking business is different from those of other business because it deals with intangible services rather than material goods and thus, the bank managers have to be more sensitive to the customers. There also exists an inefficiency of internal process due to too many repetition of 'check and balance'. Thus, We set out the five principles and six selected tasks in order to settle down an inefficiency and to redesign a bank operation process.

According to the change of customer needs, integration with other systems, and the advent of new technology, it is inevitable for the existing system requirements to be requested to redesign. However, there are actually no methodologies and processes to be able to reorganize the existing requirements or integrate a number of requirements different from each other. The traditional requirements processes do not work when solving such problems. Thus, since the existing approaches to develop requirements are not helpful, many traditional requirement engineering processes can not help falling in Red Ocean. In this paper, in order to solve such the problems, we propose a novel requirements engineering process applying Blue ocean strategy which is used to open a non-competition market not discovered yet. Blue Ocean approach is a novel effective method to elicit and build up new requirements from customers. In order to accomplish the strategy, this paper presents a framework and processes to discover new perspectives and analyze the corresponding requirements. In addition, some pieces of case study are presented to introduce how our approach is applied to practical system developments and the evaluation analysis for how valid it is.

In this study, Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) construction schedule delay risk assessment methodology is developed and the construction delay risk is assessed for turnkey international NPP projects. Three levels of delay factors were selected through literature review and discussions with nuclear industry experts. A questionnaire survey was conducted on the basis of an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and Relative Importance Index (RII) methods and the schedule delay risk is assessed qualitatively and quantitatively by severity and frequency of occurrence of delay factors. This study assigns four main delay factors to the first level: main contractor, utility, regulatory authority, and financial and country factor. The second and the third levels are designed with 12 sub-factors and 32 sub-sub-factors, respectively. This study finds the top five most important sub-sub-factors, which are as follows: policy changes, political instability and public intervention; uncompromising regulatory criteria and licensing documents conflicting with existing regulations; robust design document review procedures; redesign due to errors in design and design changes; and worldwide shortage of qualified and experienced nuclear specific equipment manufacturers. The proposed combined AHP-RII methodology is capable of assessing delay risk effectively and efficiently. Decision makers can apply risk informed decision making to avoid unexpected construction delays of NPPs.

Manufacturing industries, now-a-days, focus mostly on redesigning of the products for reducing cost and lead-time via detailed analysis of its composition and constructional design regarded as the Reverse Engineering (RE) process that involves the acquisition of relevant data of the original product, analysis for its functional use and finally, reproduction of the design for improving the functionality. In the present work, a new model based on optimization at different steps of RE, is proposed to redesign a structural component, which is subjected to severe tensile stress while in service. The component under study is an accessory namely, hitch bracket, attached to the rear axle of a tractor to connect it to the plough. The methodology includes building of a 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) model from the scanned data of the existing component with the help of 3D scanner. Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) analysis is carried out on the CAD model with existing load conditions by Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Topological optimization is carried out giving rise to a modified/optimized design of the component. It is observed that the performance of the modified component improves significantly with simultaneous weight reduction without affecting its functional use and the manufacturing process setup.

This paper describes computer-aided forging design for rib/web shaped parts. In manufacturing a part by means of forging process, the first step is to design the forging. This is done by modifying the given machined part geometry according to the requirements of the forging process. Traditionally, this is done by experienced forging designers using empirical forging design guidelines. Generally, it would be neither possible nor practical to develop a system which encompasses the design of all types of forgings. Accordingly, forging design can be simplified by considering critical two dimensional cross sections of the machined part geometry. This system is composed of three modules(process variable decision module, forging design module and redesign module) and each module is carried out in regular sequence. In the process variable decision module, first of all, the undercut is checked and modified, and then deep recesses and holes difficult to forge are eliminated. Also parting line, forging plane, forging plan view area, forging weight and maximum size(maximum height or width)are determined. In the forging design module, the magnitude of various allowances, draft angle, minimum web thickness, corner and fillet radius are determined and then geometry modification is performed. Finally, since the design rules and databases used in this system are based on parameters of the forging geometry, such as the trimmed forging plan area, forging weight, forging maxmum size, plausible estimates need to be made for these parameters. Therefore, in the re-design module, the design process is iterated until a satisfactory forging is obtained.

With the revision of the Public Records Management Act in 2020, it has become possible to appraise long-term records more than 30 years old in the record center. However, there was no discussion on the appraisal process except for the revision of the Public Records Management Act. This study aimed to propose a process for appraisal of long-term records in the record center, focused on the roles and functions of the record center, archives, and central archives. To confirm the status and problems of the records appraisal process, we analyzed record management standards and interviewed 4 archivists who have been working as specialists for over 10 years. Based on the analysis results, the appraisal process for long-term records in the record center was redesigned in consideration of the functions and roles of the record center, archives, and central archives.

The rebar factory production process involves the repetitive bending of rebars. Therefore, the fatigue failure of the rebar bending machine needs to be considered. In this paper, fatigue analysis of the rebar machine was performed using the commercial software DAFUL, which is based on MFBD (Multi Flexible Body Dynamics). The rotating roller, fixing roller and rebar were modeled by the finite element method. The rebar bending process is simulated and the mechanical stresses on the rollers are calculated. Structural analysis of the rebar bending roller was performed using the maximum bending angle of $180^{\circ}$ and maximum processing rebar diameter of ${\Phi}19mm$. Then, for fatigue analysis, the S-N curve of STD-11 was. The fatigue life of rollers is estimated by modified Goodman diagram. The fatigue life range of the rotating roller is $2.99961{\times}10^5{\sim}1{\times}10^8$ while that of the fixed roller is $2.53142{\times}10^5{\sim}1{\times}10^8$. STD-11 has an infinite life cycle after $1{\times}10^8$. Therefore, the rollers of the rebar bending machine may be expected to suffer fatigue failure. Thus, we performed a parameter study of fatigue life according to various axial radii of the fixed roller and rotating roller, and redesign of the rebar bending machine. Consequently, the axial radius of the fixed roller and rotating roller was found to be 35~37.5mm and 30~35mm, respectively, and an infinite life cycle was confirmed at these.
The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for business process system (BPS) based on the Internet of Things (IoT). As the results of this research the IoT architecture and the business process design are derived. The main findings include the proposed IoT-enabled BPS method, illustrated by the description of the application and its assessment. In addition, the key business processes namely; remote machine monitoring; maintenance of machine; material procurement; product pricing; and information reporting system, are affected by IoT technology. The proposed method of this research could be the reference for the companies which want to have better management performance based on IoT technologies.
The component-based development methodology aims at the high state of abstraction and the reusability with components larger than classes. It is indispensible to measure the component so as to improve the quality of the component-based system and the individual component. And, the quality of the component should be improved through putting the results into the process of the development. So, it is necessary to study the component metric which can be applied in the stage of the component analysis and design. Hence, in this paper, we propose component cohesion, coupling, independence metrics reflecting the information extracted in the step of component analysis and design. The proposed component metric bases on the similarity information about behavior patterns of operations to offer the component's service. Also, we propose the redesigning process for the improvement of component design. That process uses the techniques of clustering and is for the thing that makes the component as the independent functional unit having the low complexity and easy maintenance. And, we examine that the component design model can be improved by the component metrics and the component redesigning process.
