In this paper we consider an age dependent branching process whose particles move according to a Markov process with continuous state space. The Markov process is assumed to the stationary with independent increments and positive recurrent. We find some sufficient conditions for he Markov motion process such that the empirical distribution of the positions converges to the limiting distribution of the motion process.

In short channel MOSFET, it is very important to establish optimal process conditions because of variation of device characteristics due to the process parameters. In this paper, we used process simulator and device characteristics caused by process parameter variation. From this simulation, it has been ' derived to the dependence relations between process parameters and device characteristics. The experimental result of fabricated short channel device according to the optimal process parameters demonstrate good device characteristics.

This paper will describe design process and its results that are minimized unaddressed feature of product development processes. This process provides integrated system design process by context analysis of EIA 632 standard process, interface definition from activity decomposition, integration of related activities, and definition of concurrency & sequential activities flow. This process and method application will contribute to minimize time loss that is emerged from activities iteration by not definitely definition of activities interface.

MF membrane element was specially designed for water purification and VSA process which can solve the fouling problem. Especially VSA process is developed for the SK Chemicals' asymmetric microfiltration hollow fiber membranes. In case of outside-to-in filtration process, MF membrane element showed the excellent flux stability caused by cleaning ability of VSA process . Simultaneous back-washing with VSA consideratbly enhances cleaning efficiency. From the result the possibility of the replacement of chemical coagulation and sand filtration process with newly developed VSA process was revealed.

In order to provide a manufacturing system with efficiency and flexibility to cope with the changes in shop floor status, the integration of process planning and operations scheduling is required. In this paper, an integrated system of process planning and operations scheduling based on the concept of process net model and genetic algorithm is suggested. The process net model includes the alternative process plans. The integrated system is applied for prismatic parts.

A process mining is considered to support the discovery of business process for unstructured process model, and a process mining algorithm by using the associated rule and sequence pattern of data mining is developed to extract information about processes from event-log, and to discover process of alternative, concurrent and hidden activities. Some numerical examples are presented to show the effectiveness and efficiency of the algorithm.

The aim of this study was to evaluate on the removal effect of total nitrogen and phosphorus with municipal wastewater in ultrasonic nutrient removal (UNR) process using ultrasonic sludge carbon source. The removal efficiency for total nitrogen was 44.2% at biological nutrient removal (BNR) process, 50.8% at UNR process. The removal efficiency for total phosphorus was 45.6% at BNR process, 46.2% at UNR process. The removal of nitrogen was effectively influenced by ultrasonic sludge carbon source.

The statistical process control charts are very extensively used for monitoring of process mean, deviation, defect rate or reject rate. In this paper we consider a control chart to monitor the process reject rate in the high yield process, which is based on the observed cumulative probability of the number of items inspected until r defective items are observed. We first propose selection of the optimal value of r in the CPC-r charts, and also consider the usefulness of the chart in high yield process such as semiconductor or TFT-LCD manufacturing process.
