  • Efficient scheduling for software development is a major concern for software engineers. Industries simultaneously try to perform a variety of projects with the limited resources on schedule. A way to overcome the limitation of resources is sharing of the resources through the projects. This study discusses the matrix organization for software development. A scheduling for matrix organization is a special case of project management problem. The ultimate goal of scheduling problem in this study is to minimize the overall duration of the multiple projects. A genetic algorithm is presented to solve the scheduling problem of the matrix organization and is substantiated with numerical results.

초등 예비교사와 현직교사의 수학 평가문항 개발사례 연구 (A Study on Pre-service and In-service Teachers' of Primary School, Competence in Designing Mathematical Assessment Item Development)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the assessment expertise of Mathematics' teachers, focusing on the competence in designing assessment item development. In this present research, I analysed how the teachers' competence appears in designing assessment items development when they generated problems the given problem into a new one. To examine this assumption, the following research questions were posed and investigated in the present study : How do Pre-service and In-service Teachers in primary schools develop the assessment item when generating problems the given problems into new problems? The result from the case study of metamorphosing the given problem into a new problem teachers used similar patterns switching numbers or changing units in order to develop new problems. Also, teachers in primary schools tend to develop problems as commonly as in the mathematics workbooks. In-service teachers tend to have better skills developing assessment items, but there were quite much of variability between individuals.

학령전기 아동 성장발달의 PBL 모듈 개발 (Development of a Problem-Based Learning Module for Preschoolers' Growth & Development)

  • 문제중심학습(PBL)은 간호 임상실습 시 간호 지식, 기술과 태도를 통합하는 학습자 중심의 교육이다. 본 연구는 간호학 교과과정 가운데 학령전기 아동 성장발달의 PBL 모듈을 적용하기 위한 사전 연구이다. 이에 본 양적연구는 PBL 모듈을 Dick과 Carye의 프로그램 개발 과정(계획, 개발, 적용, 평가 단계)에 따라 개발하였고 2학년 간호대학생을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 활용하여 그 효과를 평가하였다. PBL 모듈은 각 팀 당 4-5명의 학생이 약 40분 정도 참여하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, t-test, 내용분석을 하였다. 그 결과 간호대학생의 메타인지 수준이 유의하게 증가하였고, 팀 효능감은 모듈 참여 전후로 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 사후 학습만족도가 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 간호대학생은 PBL 모듈 참여 후 학령전기 아동성장발달에 관한 지식 및 문제해결능력을 습득하였고 PBL 참여 시 팀워크에 대해 만족한다고 응답하였다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 간호 교과과정 내 PBL 모듈의 적용을 고려하기 위한 근거 자료를 제공하였다.

간호학생의 구조화된 객관적 임상수행펑가 (OSCE) 모듈 개발 활동이 투약간호술에 미치는 효과 (Effects of an Educational Method using the OSCE Module Development Activities for Nursing Students on the Clinical Competence of Medication)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify the educational effectiveness of the Objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) module development activities on nursing students in the areas of performance skill, knowledge, self-directed learning readiness, and problem solving ability for medication skill. Methods: This study was a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized post-test design. The subjects (N=47), who agreed to participate in this study, were assigned to either the experimental (n=24) or control group (n=23). The experimental group was trained with OSCE module development activities for four days. The control group was trained with a traditional demonstration and practice class for the same amount of time as the experimental group. Medication performance skill and knowledge tests and surveys were done to measure self-directed learning readiness, and learning satisfaction after the experimental treatments. Results: The experimental group which participated in the OSCE module development activities showed significantly higher performance skill, self-directed learning readiness, and problem solving ability for skin test and insulin medication than that of the control group of traditional education. Conclusion: It is recommended to use the OSCE module development activities for nursing students in nursing education-learning in order to improve nursing skills.

  • Super In Plane Switching (S-IPS) technology is applied for large TFT-LCD panels used in TV applications. It has a lot of advantages in comparison to the alternative, VA technology. S-IPS shows excellent viewing angle properties and fast response time between intermediate gray levels. If the performance parameters which describe the actual visual performance are considered, S-IPS is much more $advantageous.^{1)}$ However, it shows relatively low contrast ratio in diagonal direction compared to viewing angle characteristic in upper/down direction in S-IPS. In order to compensate the relatively low diagonal contrast ratio, Super-IPS applying for optical film developed, but Super-IPS still has the problem of color shift in black $pattern.^{2)}$ So we improved this problem by developing Enhanced Super-IPS.

부부갈등과 유아의 기질 및 정서조절능력이 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향 (Problem Behavior of Preschool Children : The Influence of Marital Conflict and of Children's Temperament and Emotion Regulation)

  • In this study of the influence of marital conflict and of children's temperament and emotion regulation on problem behavior, 194 mothers of 3- to 5-year-old children responded to the O'Leary- Poter Scale(1980), the Emotionality, Activity and Shyness scale(Buss & Plomin, 1984) and the Emotion Regulation Checklist(Shields & Cicchetti, 1997); teachers rated children's behavior on the Problem Behavior Questionnaire(Behar & Stringfield, 1974). Data were analyzed by independent t-tests, correlations, and multiple regressions. Results demonstrated that shyness, activity, and emotion regulation had direct effects on hostile-aggressive behaviors. Shy temperament had a direct effect on fearful-anxious behavior. Both marital conflict and temperament influenced hostile-aggressive behaviors indirectly through emotion regulation, implying a crucial role of emotion regulation in preschoolers' social development.

  • The Local Agenda21 is an action program of local dimension to realize of sustainable development. The citizen participation is prime issues and very important f3r successful practice of the Local Agenda21. The purpose of this research is to analyze the citizen participation problem and to suggest the improvement plan at the advanced course of the Local Agenda21. The research results are as follows; 1. The recognize of citizen about the Local Agenda21 is very low. Namely, the citizen of about 50% answered not to know about the Local Agenda21, 2. However, citizens showed the participation opinion to be very active by simple explanation about the Local Agenda21. 3. Also, citizens showed the result to be very affirmative in the environment problem consciousness investigation. Namely, citizens were recognizing the environment problem as the problem of the society synergic.

Mathematics across the Curriculum: Educational Reform as a Problem Solving Activity

  • This paper is intended to document the development of the Mathematics across the Curriculum (MAC) movement, following a mathematics problem solving model. Of course, just as new, related problems often arise after we have completed the solution of a current mathematics problem, so too, many questions remain regarding the future of MAC. Although preliminary assessments have been favorable, no broad-based evaluation of the impact of MAC has been conducted. To what extent has the promise of increased student understanding of mathematics and its connections to other disciplines been realized? What can be done to overcome logistical obstacles preventing instructors from working together in real schools settings? Are changes in institutional culture and relationships among academics merely transitory? Is the development of a strong base of curricular materials forthcoming? In other words, will MAC reach a level of educational permanence, or ultimately be discarded as another interesting, but unmanageable instructional fad?

An Instructional Method for Mobile Technology-Enhanced Collaborative Problem Solving in a Complex Engineering Course

  • The purpose of the article is to address a new instructional approach to a complex engineering course. We design a novel instructional method that combines mobile technology, simulation program, collaborative teamwork, problem-solving process, and a variety of evaluation techniques. We suggested five instructional principles that might be required to change the fundamental educational process by which learning is done. The proposed instructional method is expected to aspire for new perspectives on complex learning environment. Nevertheless we solely began by the research on the development of students' complex problem-solving performance in a complex engineering course, the new instructional method in the article can promote the adoption of new instructional methods and strategies across different knowledge domains. In addition, the instructional method can provide a valuable bridge to acquisition and transfer of problem solving, motivation, and meaning learning.
