This paper presents the result of survey of case study for Harmonics in electrical Installations of buildings. Recently, many power electronic equipments(power converter, computers, air conditioners electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps and so on) are used in office buildings, and harmonic current from them influence the other equipments in a distribution line. Notably, voltage distortion or voltage harmonics may approach or exceed is allowable level in power distribution system. Individual electric power consumers and end-users and responsible for reducing current harmonics while companies or utilities are responsible for reducing voltage harmonics at the point of common coupling in distribution system. As for harmonics, which one of the electric power qualities, it becomes important to obtain harmonic voltage/current distribution of the power system precisely because the use of power electronic apparatus in increasing. However, there are some difficulties on evaluating the measured data in comparison with the simulated result. The primary cause was indentitied with the resonance of harmonics form many sources. To suppress harmonics in electrical installations of buildings, one of many methods suggest that resonance frequencies are controlled by modulating the capacities of high-voltage customer's capacitors.

Recent developments of small-size unmanned or manned mobile systems such as autonomous robots, exoskeleton or armored suits, micro air vehicles, and unmanned armored vehicles require long-lasting independent power sources of high energy and power density to support the systems' operation for up to 72 hours in the fields. Chemical batteries such as Ni-MH, Li-Ion, the current primary power sources for mobile devices, however, are not capable of providing enough power and energy density for the next generation high power mobile machines. For this reason, KIMM along with KERI and KIMS has been carrying out a 500W MTG development project under the DAPA's "Next generation military power source R&D program" since 2009. In this paper, a design process for a 500W MTG system currently being developed at KIMM is briefly described and the technical issues related to its development are addressed.

An increase in the temperature of photovoltaic (PV) modules causes reduced power output and shorter lifetime. Because of these characteristics, demands for the heat dissipation of PV modules are increasing. In this study, we attached a heat dissipation sheet to the back sheet of a shingled PV module and observed the temperature changes. The PV shingled module was tested under Standard Test Conditions (STCs; irradiance: 1,000 W/㎡, temperature: 25℃, air mass: 1.5) using a solar radiation tester, wherein the temperature of the PV module was measured by irradiating light for a certain duration. As a result, the temperature of the PV module with the heat dissipation sheet decreased by 3℃ compared to that without a heat dissipation sheet. This indicated that the power loss was caused by a temperature increase of the PV module. In addition, it was confirmed that the primary parameter contributing to the reduced PV module output power was the open circuit voltage (Voc).
Primary neoplasms of the trachea are rare, but are a very serious critical life-threatening disease. Nearly all the lesions of the trachea are presented as obstructive lesions. Bronchoscopic examination including chest C-T, tomogram and air tracheogram are essential for the further definition of these lesions. The need for removal of tracheal tumors whether complete or incomplete, is clear enough regardless of the histology of the tumor. We have experienced 9 cases from Jan. 1965 to June, 1985. One patient with tracheal hamartoma was cured with complete resection through rigid bronchoscopy and another patient with fibrous histiocytoma was treated with re-excision and laser evaporation through superior mediastinotomy due to recurrence, 1 year later. The remaining patients were treated with mass excision or segmental resection and end-to-end anastomosis through collar incision and superior mediastinal sternotomy. The remaining two patients were operated with and segmental resection and end-to-end anastomosis of trachea using partial cardiopulmonary bypass. The histologic diagnosis were adenoid cystic Ca[5], fibrous histiocytoma[1], mucoepidermoid Ca[1]. hamartoma[1], anaplastic Ca.[1]. Three patients were treated post-operatively with radiation; with adenoid cystic Ca.[2] and anaplastic Ca.[1]. Their post-operative courses were uneventful during the follow-up from 2 months to 7 years.

Ni-Cr-Sn-Bi alloys were prepared by air melting and sand casting method and their anti-galling behaviors were examined. Anti-galling properties were dominantly influenced by Bi-rich low temperature precipitates. Alloying effects on the anti-galling properties were investigated for several alloying elements to improve anti-galling properties of the alloy. An alloy with $1-3wt\%$ of Te showed markedly improved anti-galling properties. Metallographic and tribological tests were carried out to find out reasons for excellent properties. It was found that Te containing alloy has finely distributed precipitates of Bi-rich phase. The addition of Te changed the morphology of the Ni-rich primary phase from globular to fine dendritic. As a result, the anti-galling phase precipitated between dendrite arms with fine distribution showed excellent anti-galling properties.

The purpose of this study is to compare the part-load performance of a SOFC/GT hybrid power system with three different kinds of load-following operation modes. The primary mode for the part load operation of a hybrid power system is the reduction of supplied fuel (e.g., fuel control mode) to the hybrid system. The other two options, i.e., variable speed and VIGV controls, are related to the reduction of supplied air simultaneously with the reduction of supplied fuel to the system. With the performance analysis of a SOFC/GT hybrid power system, it is concluded that the variable speed con佐ol mode Provides the best performance for the part-load operations. It is also found that the VIGV control mode, with its better performance behavior than the fuel control mode, can be used as an important option for the part-load operation especially in case that the variable speed control mode can not be adopted.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheets were treated with corona discharge to produce peroxy radicals on the surfaces. The peroxy radicals formed on the PVC surfaces were subsequently used as initiators for the graft polymerization of acrylic acid or acrylamide in an aqueous solution. Introduction of acrylic acid and acrylamide on the PVC sheet could be confirmed by the observation of carbonyl and primary amine absorptions based on carboxylic acid and amide, respectively. The water contact angle$(90^\circ)$ of PVC sheet was constant, irrespective of time, while corona-treated and functional monomer-grafted PVCs were slowly increased with time, showing the rearrangement of surface polar groups in air condition. The water contact angle of PVC sheet$(90^\circ)$ was decreased by corona treatment$(78^\circ)$, and further decreased by the grafting of acrylic acid$(55^\circ)$ and acrylamide$(56^\circ)$ , indicating increased hydrophilicity of the modified surfaces. The half-life periods of surface voltage on acrylic acid- (62 sec) and acrylamide-grafted PVC (147sec) were significantly decreased when compared to those on PVC (3,115 sec) and corona-treated PVC (463sec). These results mean that acrylic acid- and acrylamide-grafted PVCs could be used as the antistatic sheets.
Inactivation of the glutamic acid dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase enzyme-molecules in the Ehrlich ascites tumor cells of the mouse were studied. The above mentioned intracellular enzymemolecules were irradiated by the X-ray radiation under the condition of 65 kV, I Amp. under the atmosphere of nitrogen gases and by $4^{\circ}C$. Thereby, irradiation doses were 580 KR/min($error:{\pm}3%$). After irradiation, the cell homogentes were prepared through liquid air techniquese. There after, the activities of the enzymes were measured with photometric method given by O. Warburg and W. Christian. The dose effect curves of the activities of the two enzymes by the X-ray irradiation showed both exponential and the inactivation doses were $6,5.10^{0}\;and\;5,0.10^{6}$ R respectively. These results showed one side that the inactivation process of the intracelluar enzymemolecules was one hit reaction after target theory, and the other side that this inactivation process could not be the primary causes of the death through X-ray irradiation of the vertebrate animals, because of the high resistance of the intracellular protein molecules against X-ray irradiation. The one hit reaction by the inactivation process of the irradiated intracellular enzymemolecules was discussed.
In this paper, using perturbation and Galerkin method, the response of a resonant viscoelastic microbeam to an electric actuation is obtained. The microbeam is under axial load and electrical load. It is assumed that midplane is stretched, when the beam is deflected. The equation of motion is derived using the Newton's second law. The viscoelastic model is taken to be the Kelvin-Voigt model. In the first section, the static deflection is obtained using the Galerkin method. Exact linear symmetric mode shape of a straight beam and its deflection function under constant transverse load are used as admissible functions. So, an analytical expression that describes the static deflection at all points is obtained. Comparing the result with previous research show that using deflection function as admissible function decreases the computation errors and previous calculations volume. In the second section, the response of a microbeam resonator system under primary and secondary resonance excitation has been obtained by analytical multiple scale perturbation method combined with the Galerkin method. It is shown, that a small amount of viscoelastic damping has an important effect and causes to decrease the maximum amplitude of response, and to shift the resonance frequency. Also, it shown, that an increase of the DC voltage, ratio of the air gap to the microbeam thickness, tensile axial load, would increase the effect of viscoelastic damping, and an increase of the compressive axial load would decrease the effect of viscoelastic damping.
