Much work on innovation has focused on the manufacturing sector. In this paper, we propose a framework for analyzing innovation in services centred on capability and technology integration. We illustrate the theoretical points made by conducting a case study on an international telephone communications provider Brastel, which introduced significant innovations in international calling services, in the form of rechargeable pre-paid calling card, through effective application of standard IT. Brastel is situated against its main competitors, considering two dimensions of price and service breadth and convenience. A novel technique for measuring competitiveness based on price and service index is introduced. The following competitors were selected: NTT, KDDI, Japan Telecom, Fusion Communications, J-Call / World Link, G-Call, ASP Check, Primus, QuickPhone, and MCI. To create the service index, factors such as ease of use, convenience, number of languages in which the services are available, and additional features were taken into account. The company itself and the rechargeable card innovation were analyzed through in-depth interviews and data collection. It was shown that a competitive advantage was maintained through internal and external capabilities.

In response to drastic environmental changes, companies have been continuously rebalancing their resources and capabilities to sustain their competitive status or to survive difficult times. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of sudden environmental changes on the competitive status of a firm and to identify the internal factors that differentiate sustainer and non-sustainer groups. To achieve this goal, we selected 85 representative IT and non-IT companies from the S&P 500 companies and investigated them with respect to the change in their five-year competitive status since the 2008 global financial crisis. As a concrete performance measure, the concept of perceived competitive status (PCS) was introduced, and four distinct PCS categories were identified by using the stock price changes during the selected period. The four distinct PCS categories are "sustaining," "drifting," "deep sunken," and "bouncing back." Discriminant analysis was performed on these four distinct PCS categories. The empirical study conducted showed that revenue and cost efficiency are the most discriminating factors, especially in the economic recovery period. In particular, stronger financial liquidity was observed in high-performing "bouncing back" companies than in the other category companies.
The livestock farmers are producing under uncertainties such as Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The purpose of this study is to strengthen the management capabilities of Hanwoo farmers to prepare them for the uncertainties just mentioned. To this end, this study was conducted to find the optimal rearing period in order to reduce the feed cost, which accounts for the largest portion of the operation cost of Hanwoo. Using the universal lattice model, 41,139 of 289,000 Hanwoo slaughter data from 2010 to 2019 were used for the FMD period and 246,605 heads for the general period. The results show that the maximum cutoff price of Hanwoo steer is 6,394,457 won at the 4th week of 27 months of age in general period, where as 6,242,752 won at the 2nd week of 26 months of age in the FMD period. Therefore, it is judged that it will be helpful for Hanwoo farms to maximize their business profits by slaughtering one month and two weeks earlier in the FMD period than in the general period. In addition, Hanwoo farmers need to break away from the conventional rearing method and improve their management efficiency through a more flexible rearing method.

We are entering into a era of enterprise computing that is characterized by an emphasis on broadband convergence, knowledge s haring, and calm services. Some people refer to this as the "ubiquitous" computing because its focus is on a high degree of connectivity between a company and its customers, suppliers, and channel partners. Ubiquitous computing technology, "RF" stands for "radio frequency"; the "ID" means "identifer". The tag itself of a computer chip and an antenna. The shortest metaphor is that RFID is like a bar-code but is read with an electromagnetic field rather than by a laser beam. Much has already been written about the use of RFID. But there is no has written about the use of RFID in the convention industry. Therefore this study have specific objectives as follows. 1. To give details on the use of RFID in convention. 2. To introduces the key concepts behind RFID technology. 3. To identify advantage & disadvantage of RFID technology using a BEXCO CASE study. 4. To study on ubiquitous convention using RFID and effective operation methods such as entrance identification system, session management, machine management, CRM management, visitor management, and contents management. This results provide into the current status of ubiquitous computing technology in convention industries. Specific advantages by using ubiquitous computing technology(RFID) are one-stop differentiate service, wireless internet service, use of visitor management system, entrance by tag, and U-logistics. On other side, disadvantages are security, stabilization of RFID system, higher price of RFID tag, and commercial scale. Convention by using of RFID technology is currently at an early stage. Convention company as BEXCO need to have the capabilities to adapt, to customize, to commercialize, and to modify technology to suit our circumstances.
Artificial intelligence technology, which is the core of the 4th industrial revolution, is making intelligent judgments through deep learning techniques and machine learning that it is impossible to predict if it is applied to stock prediction beyond human capabilities. In US fund management companies, artificial intelligence is replacing the role of stock market analyst, and research in this field is actively underway. In this study, we use BLSTM to reduce errors that occur in unidirectional prediction of the existing LSTM method, reduce errors in predictions by predicting in both directions, and macroscopic indicators that affect stock prices, namely, economic growth rate, economic indicators, interest rate, analyze the trade balance, exchange rate, and volume of currency. To help stock investment by accurately predicting the target price of stocks by analyzing the PBR, BPS, and ROE of individual stocks after analyzing macro-indicators, and by analyzing the purchase and sale quantities of foreigners, institutions, pension funds, etc., which have the most influence on stock prices.
Purpose - This paper analyzes the effect of the agricultural export market for Korea's new southern countries in consideration of logistics efficiency. In order to expand Korean agricultural exports, the logistics performance index, national income, per capita income, consumer price index, distance and FTA are included. Through empirical analysis, the impact of logistics efficiency on Korean agricultural exports is derived and measures are proposed to expand exports in the future. Design/methodology - The analytical model of this study takes into account the import demand factors of the new southern countries for Korean agricultural exports. A research model was established based on prior research based on the gravity model, which is widely used in international trade effect analysis. In particular, logistics efficiency measures the effect on Korean agricultural exports using the logistics performance index and examines the effect by deriving factors for export expansion. Findings - The main findings of this study can be summarized as follows: The higher the logistics efficiency of the new southern countries in exporting Korean agricultural products, the more directly they have an effect on expanding exports. In addition, it was analyzed that the expansion of Korean agricultural exports has a positive effect on the other countries' national income, per capita income, consumer price index, population, and FTA. Based on these results, the importance of efficient logistics management in agricultural exports has been emphasized. Originality/value - There are not many studies on the export of agricultural products by logistics efficiency. However, prior studies that have adapted to manufacturing and other areas suggest that logistics efficiency has a direct effect on exports. This study suggests that Korean agricultural products are directly effective in exporting to new southern countries in terms of logistics efficiency. This can be an important time point in recognizing that logistics capabilities are important to ensure new books and the safety of agricultural products.

As the world IT equipment market has grew steadily, some companies think of it as a good opportunity. But there is a entry barrier like IT Capabilities to the late movers. So some participate in the market, forming the technology alliance with a advanced company. Ironically, the market system set companies' partnership into rivalry. In this context, our study focused on strengthening late mover's competitiveness under the technology alliance. And we conducted the case study concerning the technology alliance, and showed a strategical implications. As a result, we found some challenges for late mover; price policy making by scientific demanding forecasting, preparatory research and management for brand identity and efficient contact points for customer management. We hope that results of the study will influence the development of digital contents industry.

This study focuses on analyzing the key success factors of the traditional market by analyzing the impact on the business performance of merchants in the traditional market. Based on the existing research on entrepreneurship, psychological characteristics, capabilities, and physical characteristics of the market were considered as merchant characteristics. As a result, the risk characteristics and merchant pride, which are internal characteristics of merchants, have a significant effect on business performance. Among the competencies of merchants, product competency, customer management competency, and price competency were found to have a significant impact on business performance. Among the physical characteristics of the market, reputation and product diversity were found to have a significant effect on business performance. The results of this study are meaningful to empirically prove the relevance of the merchant's internal characteristics and capabilities, and the market's physical characteristics to the business performance of market merchants. Could be utilized. However, the limitation of this study is that there may be differences in each industry in the case of market merchant products. In future studies, empirical studies on the trader's relevance to business capability and business performance should be continued.
The purpose of this study is to clarify success factors for desirable relationship between buyer and supplier in elementary school. Therefore, the survey questionnaire consisted of general background, past success, success difference, buyer-supplier relationship characteristics(trust, supporting status, communication behavior, conflict resolution techniques, supplier selection process). The subjects were 66 dieticians of elementary school in Inchon. The statistical analysis of data was completed using SPSS program. The results were summarized as follows : Average total cost/day per one person ₩1,156. The number of suppliers per one school were 6. 92.3% of the subjects were in favor of private contract, regarding contract methods of purchasing food materials. For the past success, degree of satisfaction about past their supplier showed 3.49 score. The present success difference was shown higher than the past success. There was significant correlation between the past success and the present success difference. Trust about suppliers showed 3.40score. Supplying companies hardly support for buying school. Among information quality(timely, accurate, adequate, complete, credible), timely and complete showed lower score than the other kind of elements. Among the buyer-supplier relationship characteristic elements, only trust correlated with satisfaction about suppliers significantly. Among the conflict resolution techniques, joint problem solving and persuasive attempts were often made use of by subjects. The supplier selection criteria were shown quality(7.47), supplier's capabilities(6.46), management plan(6.00), price(5.73), scale(5.48), assets(5.27), considers delivery(4.76) and technology(2.39). As results, trust was needed for the desirable relationship between buyers and suppliers. This study has some limitations. The data in this study were collected from only buyer. It is more desired to acquire data from suppliers also.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for a large proportion of the total number of enterprises in many countries. The development of SMEs has contributed to job creation and economic benefits. Every government has formulated active diversification strategies to promote the export market of SMEs, but the performance of export capabilities remains insufficient. The primary purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of export credit insurance in promoting SME export performance in Canada. Using data from 2008-2017, the augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) model to test the stationarity of the concerned variables and the error correction model (ECM) and autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) cointegration test to empirically investigate the cointegration relationship between the research targets. The results represent the positive and critical impact of export relative price and domestic demand pressure on Canada's export performance, and the negative impact of the export volume index at a significant level. Regrettably, the impact of export credit insurance on the export performance of Canadian SMEs is considered exaggerated overall. In view of this result, it is necessary for the Canadian government to enact policies based on the current market status. And enhance confidence among SMEs to begin exports and diversify their markets rather than focusing only on the domestic or US market, especially given the impact of COVID-19. From the case of Canada, Korean government can attempt to learn from them to conduct more efficient strategies for SMEs.
