  • Recently, the prevention of crime using CCTV draws special in accordance with the higher crime incidence rate. Therefore security systems like a CCTV with audio capability are developing for giving an instant alarm. This paper proposes an analysis on screams and ambient noises for security systems with audio capability. This analysis result will be helpful for security systems to detect screams well with various ambient noises in real environment.

  • Background: Collisions involving workers and mobile machines continue to be a major concern in underground coal mines. Over the last 30 years, these collisions have resulted in numerous injuries and fatalities. Recently, the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) proposed a rule that would require mines to equip mobile machines with proximity detection systems (PDSs) (systems designed for automated collision avoidance). Even though this regulation has not been enacted, some mines have installed PDSs on their scoops and hauling machines. However, early implementation of PDSs has introduced a variety of safety concerns. Past findings show that workers' trust can affect technology integration and influence unsafe use of automated technologies. Methods: Using a mixed-methods approach, the present study explores the effect that factors such as mine of employment, age, experience, and system type have on workers' trust in PDSs for mobile machines. The study also explores how workers are trained on PDSs and how this training influences trust. Results: The study resulted in three major findings. First, the mine of employment had a significant influence on workers' trust in mobile PDSs. Second, hands-on and classroom training was the most common types of training. Finally, over 70% of workers are trained on the system by the mine compared with 36% trained by the system manufacturer. Conclusion: The influence of workers' mine of employment on trust in PDSs may indicate that practitioners and researchers may need to give the organizational and physical characteristics of each mine careful consideration to ensure safe integration of automated systems.

  • The prevention of pedestrian accidents in crosswalks and intersections is very important. The C-ITS services provide a warning service for preventing accidents between cars and pedestrians. In the current pedestrian collision prevention warning service according to the C-ITS standard, however, it is difficult to provide real-time service because it detects pedestrians from a video-analysis server in the control center and sends service messages through the ITS system. This paper proposes a pedestrian collision-prevention warning system that detects pedestrians in the local field using an edge camera and sends a warning message directly to the driver through a roadside unit. An evaluation showed that the proposed system could deliver the pedestrian collision prevention-warning message to the driver satisfying the delay time within the 300 ms required by the C-ITS standard, even in the worst case.

  • This research analyzes Clean Room accidents, and presents research Clean Room, major fire prevention standards of Clean Room (FM, IRI, and NFPA Code), various results from Fire Simulation of analysis. The results are : the smoke diffusion is very quick coupled with the Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems under fire ; the possibility of getting the result and the possibility the role of the Sprinkler systems to reduce the diffusion of the smoke. We learn about the importance to stop operating Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and to operate the Sprinkler system for securing safety with fire detection. Therefore, This research will be contributing to secure safety of Clean Room.

  • Falls are a major sources of death and injury in elderly people. Aged-related changes in the physiological systems which contribute to the maintenance of balance are well documented in older adults. These changes coupled with age-related changes in muscle and bone are likely to contribute to an increased risk of falls in this population. Regular exercise may be one way of preventing falls and fall-related fractures. However, the optimal exercise prescription to prevent falls has not yet been defined. On the literature review of exercise intervention for fall prevention in the elderly, exercise appeared to be a useful tool in fall prevention by improving fall risk factors. The optimum exercise prescription; moderate intensity frequency of 3-4 times per week, duration of 30-60minutes can contribute to decreased hazards and number of fall. Fall prevention protocol should include safety, falling effect, enjoyment, and easiness to follow for older people. Effective exercise programs suggested for fall prevention were such as weight-bearing exercise, resistance exercise, lower muscle strength with elastic band, swiss ball exercise walking, tai chi, and yoga.

  • Purpose: Health management programs should provide comprehensive health services for students and staffs at schools. Health management programs are critical for helping students become adults with physically, mentally, and socially good health conditions. The aim of this study was to identify the past and present history of health management programs and health laws to help schools develop future health plans. Methods: This study was conducted by analyzing reference data collected using data from Ministry of Education and Science Technology, Korean Educational Development Institute, Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Statistical Office as well as legal documents from the Legislative Office related to school health from 2001 to 2010. Results: Health management programs in schools included three sections: disease prevention and control, physical examinations, and prevention of communicable diseases. Disease prevention and controls consisted of obesity control, drug abuse prevention and control, and management of students' mental health. Various strategies and services were developed to improve health status of students for 10 years from 2001 to 2010. School health laws and systems have been established for disease prevention, physical examinations and communicable disease control as well, to improve students' health as well. Conclusion: The history of health management programs has a number of implications to help design future plans for school health programs and services for students and staffs.

  • Thousands of people die each year from cancer due to occupational causes. To reduce cancer in workers, preventive strategies should be used in the high-risk workplace. The effective prevention of occupational cancer requires knowledge of carcinogen agents. Like other areas of healthcare industry, occupational health has been affected by information technology solutions to improve prevention, early detection, treatment and finally the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the healthcare system. Information technology solutions are thus an important issue in the healthcare field. Information about occupational cancer in information systems is important for policy makers, managers, physicians, patients and researchers; because examples that include high quality data about occupational cancer patients and occupational cancer causes are able to determine the worker groups which require special attention. As a result exposed workers who are vulnerable can undergo screening and be considered for preventive interventions.

  • In domestic, various repair materials and method systems to keep up with these reinforced concrete deteriorated due to salt damage, carbonation. chemical decay et. being developed and applied. However, present polymer cement mortar applied to section restoration system cause the problem of long-term working and economica] efficiency. because that is divided into two process of liquid corrosion prevention agent and polymer cement mortar. In this background, accelerated test with due regard to $3\%$ NaCl soaking and autoclave cure was performed to confirm steel bar corrosion prevention properties of polymer cement mortar mixed with corrosion prevention agent of powdered type. In conclusion. we confirmed application possibility and excellency of steel bar corrosion prevention properties of polymer cement mortar mixed with corrosion prevention agent of powdered type comparing general polymer cement mortar applied to section restoration system of present study.
