As the performance rating implies the evaluation of employee's functional accomplishment and ability, and essential condition of the job was surveyed according to the job analysis of nursing activities and nurse position. That is to say, Nusrses' performances and capability is estimated in comparision with the condition of the job. 2. It is required adequacy for evaluation factors in performance rating. That is, $\circled1$ as for those who work in psychiatry or newborn baby room they should be appraied in terms of different factors from those applicable to whom work in a general staffs. $\circled2$ Evaluation factors should be concrete so that the quality and quantity of work and the potential ability of them can be correctly appraised. 3. In order to realize the object of perfamance rating system, the training on chief nurses are quite important. Also, careful practices and continuous supplementary training are required before the system is introduced.First of all, the appropriate evaluation can be mad by continuing to record the rating objects every day for the purpose of obtaining the objectivity of rating. 4. In course of transfering of the position and training, the induction of self-rating system and presentation of self-description is required to supplement functionally the performance rating system. 5. For the efficiency of nurses' performance rating system, the results of performance rating system must be reflected in promotion, allocation and training course, which makes the nurses have the motives and the organization accomplish the goal of modern nursing through its activation.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop an integrated undergraduate course including a PBL based on a blended learning strategy, and evaluate learners' responses. Methods: The learning contents of cardiovascular, respiratory, and musculoskeletal medical systems, and nursing diagnoses of 'activity and rest' domain (NANADA's classification II, 2005) were analyzed. Six clinical scenarios with the clients in different life cycles were developed for PBL. Classical lecture and group presentation with on-line self learning were implemented in addition to PBL. The developed course was implemented on 84 junior nursing students in a university for 7 weeks with 5 hours per day, two days per week. Students were asked to complete structured questionnaires including problem solving, critical thinking, and nursing diagnosis differentiation abilities. Results: Learner's evaluation was positive in problem solving skills and in the differentiation ability of nursing diagnoses relevant to an 'activity and rest' functional health pattern. Conclusion: Development and implementation of integrated courses based on a blended learning method need to be continued to enhance students' thinking and self-directed learning abilities. Supporting strategies for individual learners should be added for successful blended learning such as individual on-line feedback and consideration of individual learning outcomes.

  • A social network game (SNG) is the result of a combination of a life simulation game and a social networking service. These types of games are particularly popular among women. This phenomenon calls for research that focuses on the motivation behind playing SNGs, the factors that make SNGs absorbing and, particularly, the space decorating features of SNGs. The current study investigates people's experience with the space decorating features of SNGs and their motivation for playing these games. It observes the behaviors of SNG players, which were typed through Q methodology. Moreover, it specifically analyzes the motivation behind the playing of space-decorating SNGs. The study concludes that most of players were more absorbed in the space-decorating features of these games than they were in their social networking features. This also affects a player's continued playing of these games. This study proves that this phenomenon is related to players' desires for self-representation.

  • Background: Clinical Pharmacy Practice Experience (CPPE) is an important curriculum that offers students patient-centered disease prevention and treatment with evidence-based optimal pharmacotherapy for better clinical outcomes. However, few studies have evaluated the perception of pharmacy students regarding CPPE in tertiary and secondary hospitals. This study aimed to evaluate the perception of pharmacy students regarding the learning program of CPPE. Methods: The survey questionnaire consisted of 15 self-administered questions regarding pharmacy practices, barriers, and improvement of practical training. Fourteen institutional pharmacies located in seven regions responded to a survey questionnaire from March 1 to June 30, 2017. The participants were pharmacy students doing clerkship in a hospital setting. Results: The response rate was 73.6%. Thirty-five participants (22.4%) had used a hospital library, but 121 (77.6%) had never used the library for drug information resources. Eighty-one (50.0%) responded that clinical knowledge and drug information was the most beneficial practice. Thirty-seven (31.1%) respondents in the tertiary hospitals and 19 (46.3%) in the secondary hospitals answered that they were filling prescriptions during the daily break. On the other hand, 72 respondents (60.5%) in the tertiary hospitals and 17 (41.5%) in the secondary hospitals did literature research to prepare for presentation. Conclusion: More students in secondary hospitals continue to fill prescriptions during the daily break, as compared to those in tertiary hospitals. Therefore, the authors suggest self-directed learning to improve clinical performance and each institution considers offering onsite or online library service to improve evidence-based CPPE for pharmacy school students.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of flipped learning lesson on the human social behavior and social environment subject. In order to achieve this object, this study conducted qualitative analysis of class-evaluation and self-evaluation and quantitative analysis using the questionnaire. As a result, it was confirmed that flipped learning method works very effectively in the theoretical curriculum of social welfare. Participants assessed that their comprehension and presentation skills improved. In addition, their self-esteem improved after this class. However, this teaching may be rather negative for participants who had difficulties in pre-learning or a passive attitude. In order to improve this problems, the instructors should be prepared to make pre-learning better. As well as, they should prepare countermeasures for passive participants, and help interact well among the participants.
