Nonlinear finite element analysis of reinforced concrete panels subjected to biaxial tensile loads are carried out by using a 9-node assumed strain shell element. The present study mainly focuses on the performance evaluation of material models such as cracking criteria, tension stiffening model and steel model in the membrane energy dominant situation. From numerical results, the exponential form of tension stiffening model together with the use of average yield stress model for the steel embedded in the concrete performs well in the panel analysis under biaxial tensile loading condition and it produces a good agreement with experiment results. Finally, the present results are provided as a benchmark test for reinforced concrete panel structures.

A numerical study has been performed to predict the characteristics on the transient operation of the heat pipe with multiple heaters for electronic cooling. The model of the heat pipe was composed of the evaporator section with four heaters, insulated transport section, and the condensor section with a conductor which is cooled with uniform heat flux condition to surrounding. The governing equations and the boundary conditions were solved by the generalized PHOENICS computational code employing the finite volume method. Two test cases are investigated in present study; Case 1 indicates that the 1st and 2nd heaters among four heating sources are heated off, while the 3rd and 4th heaters are heated on. Case 2 is the inverse situation switched from heating location of Case 1. The results show that the transient time to reach the steady state is shorter for Case 1 than for Case 2. Especially, the temperature difference of the heater during switching operation is relatively small compared to the maximum allowable operating temperature difference in electronic system. Hence, it is predicted that the heat pipe in present study operates with thermally good reliability even for switching the heaters.

Turnkey contract system is an effective ordering system for the ordering organizations that technical engineers are insufficient for their construction projects. It is possible to reduce project duration and to improve project quality in an integrated contract system between design and construction. However, owners can have a difficulty caused from unitary responsibility system. This study analyzes present situation and problems of turnkey contract system including railway projects. The result includes various methods for improving the system based on the analysis of bid price and selection procedure.

This study presents the methods to improve the urban farming in Korea by analysing the current circumstances of urban farming in Korea. Specifically, the legal system in association with urban farming, current status of the act on the urban farming, the present situation of the Korean urban farming, and the comprehensive plans for urban farming have been analysed in order to grasp the present situations and seek for solutions. Based on these, the research provides effective supporting methods for sustainable urban farming in Korea. As a result, the essentials to improved urban farming can be summarized with two factors; securing more space for urban farming and improving the supporting system for the urban farmers. Enthusiastic attitudes of local governments, security of budget, and cooperation with the citizens are vital to expand the urban farming in addition to the institutional and systematic urban farming improving methods mentioned above.

The purpose of this study aims to present the base for the rational management of printed music as an important primary source of music materials. In this study, therefore, the selection and acquisition, organization, user services for the management of printed music are investigated. Then the present situation for management of printed music of university libraries in Daejeon and Chungnam are surveyed. Finally, the special issues to be considered in the management of printed music are presented.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the plan formation for university dormitory's living unit by the modular unit of the pre-fabricated architecture, Pursuing this, this study conducts the investigation of present domestic situation of prefabricated construction and practices plan formation for living unit concentrating on the dweller's satisfaction by solving the problems which hitherto constructed dormitory had, especially collapse of dweller's territoriality. Consequently, this study presents the feasibility of modular unit of present prefabricated construction as a new method of dormitory's living unit construction, and suggests the pertinent plan formation for the improvement of the dweller's territoriality.

This study is intended to analyze the appropriate scope for 9.9MW biomass cogeneration, feasibility and sensitivity according to changing market situation. In the study, the heat load is classified into three types to predict heat sales and find out the appropriate scope of thermal business that is operated in CHP 34.42 Gcal/h, PLBwg 70 Gcal/h of cogeneration. the feasibility is estimated based on internal rate of return (IRR) and net present value(NPV). the sensitivity is analyzed in terms of biomass fuel cost, unit price of heating cost, investment cost, SMP unit price and REC unit price.

Being aware of the present situation in Latvia and in whole Europe, Mathematics curriculum development is a topical issue. One of the ways how to deal with it is the application of study modules in the study process. The division of Mathematics studies in the Forms and Content Modules allows students to understand better the organization of study process of mathematics, and creates conceptual awareness of Mathematics logics and its practical application helping students to understand causal relationships and to develop cognitive skills. The first generation of Japan's smart city policies began around 2010. However, the latest trends in smart city policies and the impacts of the first generation on the latter one were not fully covered in either official documents or academic literature. In such circumstances, the purposes of this study were firstly to identify outcomes derived from the smart city projects in the first generation, and then, to reveal the present situation of the latest smart city policies, including the influence of the first generation on these state of the art policies. The present study was also intended to evaluate the validity of a conceptual framework presented by Fernandez-Anez et al. (2018) for smart city policies. As a result, it was revealed that (1) policy outputs and outcomes derived from the smart city policies in the first generation were highly regarded, (2) the conceptual framework of smart city policies was evaluated as valid, and (3) the second generation of smart city policies after Society 5.0 was characterized by the establishment of smart city platforms.

A digital map is provided with 2 dimensions of tile based, a user is hard for decision-marking directly. In this study, we analyzed the present situation and characteristics of a digital map about a developed nation such as United States, England, Canada. As a result, American National Map and British Master Map are keeping continuity and up-to-date, included UFID, ISO, OGC referred to an international standard, and a digital map was made.
