모듈러 유닛에 의한 대학 기숙사 단위 생활공간의 평면 구성에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the Plan Formation of University Dormitory's Living Unit by Modular Unit)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the plan formation for university dormitory's living unit by the modular unit of the pre-fabricated architecture, Pursuing this, this study conducts the investigation of present domestic situation of prefabricated construction and practices plan formation for living unit concentrating on the dweller's satisfaction by solving the problems which hitherto constructed dormitory had, especially collapse of dweller's territoriality. Consequently, this study presents the feasibility of modular unit of present prefabricated construction as a new method of dormitory's living unit construction, and suggests the pertinent plan formation for the improvement of the dweller's territoriality.

프로세스고장검출을 위한 새로운 잔차발생기구 (A New Dynamic Residual Generator for Process Fault Detection)

  • A new FDOs (fault diagnostic observers) and the residual generation schemes using the FDOs are suggested for the process fault detection and isolation of linear (control) systems. The design method of the FDO is described, first, for the full measurement systems. Then it is extended for the systems with unmeasurable state variables. An unknown input observer is proposed and applied for the extension. The size of the observer bank may be the smallest, specially in full measurement systems, because the order of the proposed FDO is very low. In spite of the simplicity, the scheme provides the same information for the detection and isolation of the anticipated faults as the conventional multiple observer based schemes. The residuals may be structured so that fault isolation can be performed by pre-selected logic. An FDIS using the proposed scheme is constructed for the model of the four-tank system. Simulation results show the practical feasibility of the proposed scheme.

  • In this paper, we develop the intelligent digitally redesigned fuzzy controller for nonlinear systems. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is used to model the nonlinear systems and a continuous-time fuzzy-model-based controller is designed based on the extended parallel-distributed-compensation(EPDC) method . The digital controllers are determined from existing analogue controllers. The proposed method provides an accurate and effective method for digital control of continuous-time nonlinear systems and enables us to efficiently implement a digital controller via the pre-determined continuous-time 75 fuzzy-model-based controller. We have applied the proposed method to the duffing forced oscillation system to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a motion control algorithm is developed by using fuzzy control technique, which makes a robot arm avoid unexpected obstacles when the robot is moving from the start to a goal posture. During the motion, if there exist no obstacles the robot arm moves along the pre-defined path. But if some obstacles are recognized and close to the robot arm, a fuzzy controller is activated to adjust the path of the robot arm. To show the feasibility of the developed algorithm, numerical simulations and experiments are carried out. In the experiments, redundant planar robot arms are considered for the collision avoidance test, and it was proved that the developed algorithm gives good collision avoiding performance.

기계 체적오차가 고려된 가공형상-거칠기 측정 OMM 시스템 (The OMM System for Machined Form and Surface Roughness Measurement Concerned with Volumetric Error)

  • Machining information such as machined form and surface roughness accuracy is an important factor for manufacturing precise parts. To this regard, OMM(On the Machine Measurement) has been issued for last several decades to alternate with CMM. In this research, measuring system consisting of a laser probe is developed for machined form and surface roughness measurement on the machine tool. The obtained machined form accuracy is compared with reference one defined in CAD model. The measured surface roughness data is compared with measured master surface beforehand. Furthermore, using the pre-defined volumetric error map approach compensates the geometric accuracy of the machine tool. The overall performance is compared with CMM, and verified the feasibility of the measurement system.

경도-유효변형률 관계에 관한 유한요소 해석 (Finite Element Analysis for the Relation between Hardness and Effective Strain)

  • It is already known that hardness value of cold-forged product is in close conjunction with its effective strain. This paper presents the method to predict the relation between effective strains and hardness values by using FE-simulation of hardness test from the conception that hardness indicates resistance to plastic deformation. The results of FE-simulation for the material with pre-strain arc compared with those of experiments of the references to show the feasibility of the proposed method.

시각 서보에 의한 모델 자동차의 자율 조향제어 (Study on the Automatic Steering Control of a Model Car using Visual Servoing)

  • The most important part in automated transport systems is steering control for lane keeping Most of systems developed so far have used the visual information for steering control. In this study, the steering control algorithm based on visual servoing has been developed and tested by applying it on Radio Controlled(R/C) model car equipped with one CCD camera. We also demonstrated the feasibility of using it as a pre-test car before the real car experiment in developing automated vehicles. In order to solve the problem of the limited spave and load of a model car, remote-brained approach has been taken. For steering control of a model car, the PD controller which uses the look ahead offset to generate control input has been implemented and the characteristics of the controller has been explained in view of kinematics. Some experimental results have been also illustrated so as to show the control performance and stability.

  • This paper aims to suggest a validity analysis model that would be helpful for local governments considering u-City construction projects and a methodology for them to promote build-transfer-lease (BTL) u-City projects. This methodology mainly uses quantitative and qualitative analysis based on the Value For Money (VFM) designed by the Public and Private Infrastructure Investment Management Center (PIMAC) under the Korea Development Institute (KDI). BTL projects requires a large amount of capital and involves long-term investments. Therefore, multi-faceted validity analysis is required for the success of a project. This study will enumerate various factors to be considered in the pre-analysis of validity of BTL projects and suggest a methodology to verify them. A case study of a BTL project promoted by Ansan City assisted in designing this study in detail.

  • A few of new and large cities have been developed and developing at some areas surrounding Seoul, a capital city of Korea. Thus, commuters from new city to downtown are considerably increasing and the present network of road and railway will be short of transportation capacities. A special problem is that new cities are far from downtown than pre-existing new cities and the entering to downtown is required to a considerable time and cost. Therefore, a new conceptional transportation system has to be substitute with old-fashioned road and railway. This paper presents the feasibility of the deep & high-speed nonstop railway which is able to access to the downtown with ease and fast from new city. If the railway is located under deep position, indemnity cost of land will be notably down. If the railway runs with high speed and has a nonstop concept, the access time to downtown will be remarkably short.

  • A new scheme to alleviate contention in optical burst switching networks is proposed. It consists of preventively reserving resources in a node, to be used if resources are busy on the next hop node. The burst is sent back to the preceding node and then resent forward. Simulations are carried out to assess the feasibility of the proposed scheme. Its performance is compared with that of contention resolution based on deflection routing.
