In diverse professional fields including information and communication field, there is huge gap between required practical ability in industrial and that of graduated students actually learn in university. In this paper, we propose collaborative project curriculum applied to project-based learning in order to train affordable specialists who have a systematic problem-solving ability in industrial site. Applying this curriculum to The Cultural Technology Education Center of Jeju National University, we confirm that our curriculum improves ability of students to perform team project systematically such as skills in paper writing, presentation speech, problem solving, and collaborative work. Students are also reported high satisfaction about the proposed curriculum. Therefore, we expect that our curriculum will successfully be applied to other fields.

The Oil Palm industry has developed tremendously with the increasing of planted area from 54,000 hectaresin 1960 to about 2.28 million hectares in 1995. This is expected to increase further to 2.5 million hectares by the year 2000. However, there has been an increasing difficulty in obtaining sufficient labour for the oil palm plantations. At present , harvesting of oil palm fresh fruit is facing an acute shortage of workforce as the workers are much more attracted to the better working environment and salary in the industrial sector. Harvesting of short palm is easily done by using a chisel attached to a short steel pole. Cutting is done by moving the tool at high speed to the target. The weight of the tool coupled with the speed of throwing will produce enough energy to cut the bunch stalk. In this cutting method, sharpness of the cutting device, weight of tool and the speed of throwing contribute to the efficiency of the tool . For the tall palms, a sickle attached to a ong pole is used and the job is more difficult compared to the short palms. Lifting of pole and cutting jobs require great effort and skills. This paper describes the basic design needs in developing an appropriate device that is practical for field use. A prototype design was developed and tested.

The paper deals with the introduction of creative engineering design education in School of Mechanical Engineering, Yonsei University. The course is referred to as Creative Mechanical Engineering Design (1) for 2nd-year undergraduates who newly enter a major in mechanical engineering. This course emphasizes creative thinking and practical experiences to students by learning engineering design skills, realizing their idea through problem based learning (PBL) and design project and recognizing actual results of a product. The paper describes course contents, and discusses students’ responses to lecture, PBL and design projects.

A camp program where the theory of inventive problem solving TRIZ is applied to real problems of the industry was developed and taught at a five-day seminar apart from the standard curriculum at a university D in Gyeonggido. This study focuses on the educational effect that the TRIZ method has on the engineering students when their creative problem solving skills are required to solve industry problems on their own with the knowledge from their courses. For five days, the students were educated about TRIZ and assigned a real industry problem "Removal of friction caused by bubble formation in water heating pipelines". By applying TRIZ to the problem, the students developed an "Air removing Air Arrester" which received the evaluation, "with understanding the system architecture and the task objective causes and formation of the problem could be handled which directly helps the company's R&D". In this case, TRIZ offers the students a guideline and knowledge on how to approach problems and as a result the students provided a practical solution. During the process, the TRIZ method instilled confidence in the students and proved to be a motivation. It becomes obvious that this short-term program has a positive effect on students' way of thinking creatively and increasing their problem-solving abilities.

In the design process of an automobile part, several analysis methods are usually utilized to evaluate the performance of the part. However, most automobile design engineers do not directly utilize CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) tools since specific skills are required to obtain practical results. Moreover, CAE requires a huge amount of computation time and cost. In order to resolve these problems, a new design approach named First Order Analysis (FOA) technique has been proposed. In this paper, the FOA technique is employed to design a vehicle sub-frame. An equivalent model of the vehicle sub-frame which only consists of beam elements is proposed and the modal properties obtained with the model are compared to those obtained with a full scale finite element model. The effect of some parameter tolerances on the modal characteristics of the vehicle sub-frame is investigated by employing the FOA equivalent model.

How can action learning program promote organizational learning performance and especially project based team performance in Web-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)? This article discusses the association between project based team in action learning program and the performance of Web-based SME to be learning organization. In the case of ALPACO, action learning program that promote employee communication behavior, knowledge sharing, and organizational learning are found to be positively associated with the project based team performance and organizational learning, The results indicate that action learning program in SMEs indeed associated with greater knowledge sharing, learning communication skills and changing organizational culture. Learning organization can be, in turn, positively developed by project based team through action learning program for creating competitive advantage, Also, this study offers further support for the practical perspective on learning organization performance. The evidence from this case study suggests that the project team in action learning program playa significant role in team performance and the development of learning organization of the firm. Therefore, in the future, Web-based SMEs should consider making investments in action learning program that encourage project team's effective management in decision making, knowledge sharing, and organizational learning.

The purpose of this study is to suggest practical experience to develop small sized e-Learning system. The system is designed to help lecturers can arrange interface, organize contents, submit examinations and assess learner's score with no professional computing skills. The system has three advantages. First, it reduced implementation period through the use of GUI. Second, it is ordered to be personalized to construct format of the whole interface. Third, it has operational convenience which can be implemented on PC based system. These personalized features are enabling Learning on Demand. Also, there is comparatively low cost and high effectiveness on e-Learning implementation which facilitating quick adoption of e-Learning in its lectures.

The study examines the influence of individual characteristics, training content, and manager support on the effectiveness of on-the-job (OJT) training in the banking and finance industry. A simple random sampling technique was used to select the samples. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents in order to obtain the data. Using cross-sectional data obtained from 396 respondents in Bank A in Malaysia, the multiple regression results show that self-efficacy, motivation to learn, training content, and manager support have positive influence on OJT training effectiveness. Among all these factors, manager support is very highly correlated with OJT training effectiveness. The findings have given fruitful insight of the crucial roles of OJT training in the respective bank, particularly to bring forward the roles of systematic design and implementation of OJT training. This study is not only expanding knowledge in OJT and training, but offers managers practical insights in developing good OJT training program by considering employees need, capabilities, skills and job requirement. Furthermore, this study also provides a valuable framework in identifying the effectiveness of OJT training program for certain jobs. Further discussion of the research findings and its implications to theoretical knowledge of training and managers are promised at the end of the article.

To get an appropriate and meaningful performance assessment outcomes and to provide the base of essential elementary educational evaluations, we had tried to establish achievement standards, assessment standards and had developed appropriate assessment tools in 「Intelligent Life」 course of the elementary school in this study. The following things were taken into account to establish achievement standards, assessment standards and to develop assessment tools. First, managing deeply not only cognitive domain but also the basic inquiry skills and affective domain, all-round educational properties of integrated courses were likely to come out. Second, evaluating instructional processes as well as instructional results, we had developed assessment standards in elementary 2nd grade's 「Intelligent Life」 course. Third, developing assessment standards on the basis of the 7th Curriculum, we had examined both text book and teacher's guide to promote effectiveness of field application. The type of an assessment tools had been developed variously, considering the characteristics of the elementary lower grades and properties of elementary 2nd grade's 「Intelligent Life」 course. We had developed assessment tools to observe and evaluate practical achievement levels, placing great importance on the types of an assessment tools including observing, narrative of inquiry, report, etc. As a result of investigation of elementary teachers' understandings of the developed achievement standards, assessment standards, and an assessment tools, were revealed in the affirmative on the whole.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a neonatal nursing practice program for nursing students on students' stress, self-efficacy, and confidence. Methods: A 1-group pre- and post- study design was used. The participants consisted of 64 nursing students who were in a pediatric nursing clinical practicum at a nursing college in Seoul from September 2015 to May 2016. The program consisted of 3 stages-orientation, practice, and debriefing-and was conducted for 3 hours during a 2-week period of the pediatric nursing clinical practicum. The dependent variables were neonatal nursing practice stress, self-efficacy, and confidence. Data were analyzed using the paired t-test, the Pearson correlation coefficient, the $x^2$ test, and descriptive statistics with SPSS for Windows version 22.0. Results: The neonatal nursing practice program was effective at decreasing clinical practice-related stress and increasing confidence and self-efficacy regarding neonatal nursing practice. Conclusion: The neonatal nursing practice program may effectively promote the integration of theoretical knowledge and practice. In the future, we propose to develop various educational programs that reinforce basic nursing skills for neonates as part of an effective pediatric nursing clinical practicum.
