Considering that our construction market is recognizing the necessity of EVMS(Earned Value Management System) and that the EVMS will be applied to the construction projects with large scale. the suggested methodologies to link WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) with EVMS results and the developed web-based EVMS can be a tentative system for practical application.

This paper is focused on practical research regarding costume design and arts management that make use of local resources and which are influenced by local culture of Tokuji in Yamaguchi-city, located in a mountainous area in Yamaguchi Prefecture in the western part of Honshu in Japan. We will examine possibilities in fashion design through this study. This was a practical research project, done with cooperation between the university and local industry, with priorities being assigned by the requests of residents of the Tokuji area. In 2011 the Aurinko, Tokuji, Talo (it means the Solar Tokuji Building in Finnish) was decided as the base of activities. Other functions were gradually added on, including a salon for people of the area to exchange ideas and workshops for group discussions. This paper will specifically be focused on the handmade paper peculiar to Tokuji and traditionally used as a material in fashion. The fashion designs developed by this researcher's laboratory were strongly influenced by these styles of paper. These costumes were made with a handmade paper called "Kamiko" in Japan, that is aesthetic sense has been historically cherished. This paper suggests that the affluence and depth of costume design may be expressed not only by directly borrowing from these influences, but also by borrowing the traditional aesthetic sense original to Japan. Thus this paper will examine industry and culture simultaneously, examining in particular the impact of arts management and costume design using handmade paper manufactured locally.

The purpose of this research is to bring out some practical issues of housing studies prblished by Home Economics researchers since 1980. There were 299 articles related to housing in three major journals such as Journal of the Korean one Economics Association Journal of Korean Home Management Association and Housing Research Journal. It has been remarkable progress in terms of the quality as well as the number of articles during 20 years. However this study could be brought out some research issues in the methodological and theoretical aspects to improve the applicability of housing studies to dedicate family life and housing policies.

The paper proposes the misuse types of statistical quality tools according to the kind of data and the number of population in DMAIC process of six sigma. The result presented in this paper can be extended to the QC story 15 steps of QC circle. The study also provides the improvement methods about control chart, measurement system analysis, statistical difference, and practical equivalence.

Purpose - This thesis is to develop a management plan and checklist by analyzing the prevention of accidents in advance by presenting the management plan for the major causes of railway accidents. Research design, data and methodology - In recent 5 years, we have analyzed the cases of railway accident, presented the management plan for the accident, and made a practical safety checklist focusing on the main measures according to the management plan. Results - The analysis of the cases of near-railway accidents suggests more concrete and practical safety management measures because the similar accidents are continuously occurring due to formal safety management. Conclusions - It is more valuable to apply to the adjacent construction of the railway line by creating a detailed checklist based on cases rather than the existing checklist. This study is written only as a human factor. For future real - time safety management, it is necessary to study more precisely cause analysis and safety equipment as a big data - based safety control system for more systematic safety management.

The family financial management is the important element which has a effect on the improvement of family economic well-being. Thus the study sets up human & material resources and requirement as an input factor, family financial management as an throughput factor, and economic well-being as an output factor, and then identifies if there are some relationships among them by using a systematic approach of family financial management. The questionaires were distributed to 600 employed wives by carrying out cluster sampling and disproportional stratified sampling. The 573 cases of them were used as the mean, ratio, Pearson’s Correration, ANOVA, factors analysis, and Stepwise Regression using the SAS/PC+. The major findings of the study are as follows: 1) A practical application of information as on input variable, appears the fator which has an important effect upon the throughput factor, that is, family financial management. The employed wives should manage a lot of resources in rapidly changing social-economic circustances. So it shows that not only they should take informations open to their daily life and then make practical use of them in managing their family finance, but also they must be capable of judging and accepting reasonable informations in order to gain and manage resources suitable to the characteristics of family finance and family members’need. 2) There was significant relationship between the employed wives’family financial management and family economic well-being, focused on the systematic theory of family financial management. This study provides for the information to develope the program for the employed wives’family financial planning and counseling.

With the recent advancement of technology, there has been an increase in professional development activities, including teachers using blogs to share practical knowledge and reflect on teaching and learning. This study was conducted to identify the contents of practical knowledge shared through the K-12 teachers' blogs. To achieve the research objective, 70,571 blog posts were collected from 329 blogs of K-12 teachers in Korean and analyzed using text mining techniques. The results of the study are as follows. First, practical knowledge sharing activities using teacher blogs have increased. Teachers posted a lot of blogs during the semester. Second, primary school teachers share various curriculum activities, reflections on project classes, class management, opinions related to education, and personal. Third, secondary school teachers share summaries and reviews of curriculum, materials related to college entrance exams, various instructional materials, opinions related to education, and personal experiences on their blogs. This study suggested that blogs are widely used as a venue for sharing practical knowledge of teachers, and that blogs can be a useful way to develop professionalism.

This study was accompanied to develop the management and application plans as resources for rural tourism through the analysis of distribution characteristics, inhabitants' practical use, need item for management and application, and aesthetic/recreation function of Palustrine wetland in rural area. The 2.3 Palustrine wetland per farm village were located, and 77.5% of total wetland was used by agricultural water, landscape, rural tourism The management and water quality were steadily getting better in used wetland than in unused wetland. Also, 91.8% of respondents answered that there is a practical use plan afterward, and much preferred the mode of ecotourism through restoration of ecological wetland. As the results from the appropriateness evaluation of management and application in used wetland for ecotourism, improvement item was required in observation deck, entrance lane, guidance facilities etc. And, insufficient result was deduced in appropriateness of operation program and special learning course, and in participation of inhabitants and experts. The result of evaluation of the aesthetic and recreation functions generally appeared high, but the need improvement item was required in artificial water wall and plantation base that deteriorate biological diversity. These results will be used to data for conservation, management and practical use of wetland, an important natural resource in farm village, which are confronted in crisis of land reclamation by use reduction of use and false management.

To comprehend the present state of performance evaluation and management systems and their problems, we examined performance evaluation and management systems that have been used in the public sector and figured out their limits and problems in practical use and then, we searched, from academic basis, for ways to solve those problems and complement the limits. Especially, we focused on developing practical solutions that can be applied to a budget and human resource effectively. We expect this research will provide to public sector a comprehensive foundation for understanding the core concept of myriad theories of performance management in public sector including "Balanced Scorecard" and for finding out the limits and problems of each theories, then it can prepare the alternatives in advance. But the research is restricted within the general guideline for performance management. It doesn't provide practical and detailed action programs that are needed for actual execution. So, further studies on particular action programs are needed to compliment this limit and for coming to stay of performance management system in the public sector quickly, the enactment of performance management is needed as well.
