  • In this paper we apply VSS X chart to the case when two assignable causes effect the process mean shift. We compare the case when two compound assignable causes effect the process mean with another one which effects individually. For the practical use of VSS $\bar{X}$ chart we propose the sample size which minimizes the average number of samples until the signal is given in out-of-control state.

  • The objective of this study is to develop an algorithm in the consideration of importance Weight and desirable shape of specific department in the computerized layout planning. Quantitative relationship chart between each department was used. It is decided that the priority among the department as to variable factors and the optimum quantitative relationship chart was obtained using by the Weighting method. The algorithm presented in this study could generate more practical layout for the actual design problem.

  • It is known that two-person zero-sum game with vector payoff can be reduced to a multiple objective linear programming. However, in this case, solutions for the game nay not be one, but many, In many cases in reality, one may need only one solution rather than all solutions. This paper develops a method to find a practical solution for the game by linear programming.

  • Because of the number and complicate relationship, it is difficult to improve the processes and activities in a company. The continuous improvement for ISO 9001, we introduced IDEF Model for re-engineering the ISO9000 Process. A valve maker was selected as a sample company, and we confirmed that several processes can be reduced and several processes can newly be added for effective and more practical operation of a company.

  • In this paper, we attempt to investigate the factors influencing usage and acceptance of ubiquitous services in Campus, based on the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). This study conceptualizes and develops three dimensions of u-Services (real time seπice, information security, customization seπice) and tests the relationships between three dimensions of u-Services and TAM. Data were collected from 162 respondents in K-University. And relationships proposed in the framework were tested using multiple regression analysis.

  • A simple but practical approach to evaluate the reliability of electronic ballasts for the low wattage fluorescent lamp has been presented in this study. We briefly reviewed the basic concepts of the electronic ballast. We then proposed a simple model and evaluated the reliability of the ballast using computer simulation.

An Algorithm for Optimizing over the Efficient Set of a Bicriterion Linear Programming

  • In this paper a face optimization algorithm is developed for solving the problem (P) of optimizing a linear function over the set of efficient solution of a bicriterion linear program. We show that problem (P) can arise in a variety of practical situations. Since the efficient set is in general a nonoconvex set, problem (P) can be classified as a global optimization problem. The algorithm for solving problem (P) is guaranteed to find an exact optimal or almost exact optimal solution for the problem in a finite number of iterations. The algorithm can be easily implemented using only linear programming method.

  • 우리나라에도 여러 가지 분야별 시소러스가 연구되고 있으나 여러 분야를 망라하는 대규모 한글매크로시소러스는 아직 없다고 보아야 할 것이다. 또한 분야별 시소러스를 통합하여 매크로시소러스를 구축하는 것은 거의 불가능하며, 통합할 만큼의 분야별 한글시소러스도 없다. 본 연구에서는 처음부터 매크로시소러스 구축을 위하여 개발한 범용시소러스 관리시스템의 내용과 이 시스템을 이용하여 전 분야를 대상으로 개발하고 있는 한글 매크로시소러스의 개발현황에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

  • For many practical optimization problems where the system components are stochastic, the objective functions can not be represented analytically. Furthermore, many of these problems are characterized by the presence of multiple and conflicting objectives. In this research, we introduce a new algorithm through an interactive cutting plane method for solving this multi-criteria simulation optimization problem. Then a turning process is evaluated through the proposed algorithm.

  • In this paper, we deal with the model to reward researchers' performance. The rewards which disregarded the preference of researchers don't satisfy researchers, but cause, only conflicts. In order to increase the researchitivity by resolving these researchers' conflicts, we design a new model on the performance rewarding system. For this purpose, we investigate preference structure on the reward of researchers by the$\ulcorner$conjoint analysis$\lrcorner$. And we propose some reasonable and practical programs to reward performance on the basis of the investigation..
