Generally, there is confusion as to what constitutes TQM, though it can be regarded as a set of concepts and tools for getting all employees focused on continuous improvement, various schools of thought have defined or classified the critical success factors as constructs, concepts and principles. Therefore the main aim of this paper is to provide a practical approach for understanding the quality management terminology. Using the existing quality management measurement instruments available in literature, the terminology used is classified into constructs, practices and finally tools or techniques. Quality Management may then be viewed as a combination of the three sets of terminology. Drawing on the quantitative study which investigated the implementation of TQM within the SME, the critical factors of TQM as used in that study as used to demonstrate the practical approach or methodology for the understanding of the terms thus used. For the benefit of practitioners within the Construction Management field, a bit of clarity is required as regards the terminology used. This study contributes to clarifying the conflicting results being reported in the quality management literature which inevitably leads to having different levels of analysis of Quality Management. Accordingly, the strength of quality management compared with other business philosophies should then focus on the practical methodology, namely the practices and techniques.

Purpose: The most previous works on designing accelerated life tests (ALTs) are focused on the application of a single stress. Because of the difficulty to obtain the sufficient information in a reasonable duration using single stress only, there is needed in practice to use multiple-stress ALTs frequently. This paper presents new practical plans with two stresses for Weibull distribution. Methods: The four-level practical plans based on rectangle test region are proposed and compared with the corresponding three-level statistically optimal plans. Sensitivity analyses for assumed design parameters and life-stress relationship are conducted. Results: A procedure to choose practical ALT plans is illustrated with a numerical example and guidelines for planning two-stress ALTs are provided. Conclusion: The proposed two-stress ALT plans on practical constraints to assess a quantile of Weibull lifetime distribution at the use condition are efficient and robust.

This paper is a study on the practical Systems Engineering Management Plan(SEMP) for the LRT Project. A SEMP shall be developed and applied to define and manage the systems engineering activities during the beginning of LRT Project. This paper is addressed contents and description of the practical systems engineering management plan based on the existing practices about system engineering management plan in LRT Project domain as well as the systems engineering standard as MI-STD 499A, IEEE 1220 etc. In the early stage of a LRT Project, An acquirer should provide a Systems Engineering Plan(SEP), and a contractor should summit a Systems Engineering Management Plan as the SEP in proposal. This addressed the SEMP as an aspect of the system and sub-systems supplier to systematically and effectively accomplish the systems engineering activities in LRT Project generally.

This paper presents a case study regarding a simple accounting information analysis method through the practical design using spreadsheet tool-Excel, which can offer to the management with more useful and practical information for the management decision-making. In this study, spreadsheet program is used to constitute case of the accounting information analysis method. Spreadsheet tool-Excel is easy to analyze the accounting information. And it can constitute a necessary program through function menu. In conclusion, the spreadsheet program should be used for quantitative analysis and evaluation on the accounting information. And it should be used to perform management activities. The results of this study may be summarized as follows: First, it is possible to constitute useful and practical case in the accounting information analysis method with spreadsheet program. Second, this study proposes directions for the accounting information analysis method with spreadsheet program.

In this study, a practical model for health information management education using the EMR education system at universities for nurturing health care information managers was studied. Currently, there is no practical training course for health care information management in the standards for evaluation and certification of health care information management education introduced to strengthen the job competency of health care information managers. Accordingly, the program was constructed so that the practice program suggested as an educational environment in the Health and Medical Information Management Education Evaluation and Certification Manual can be practiced in the EMR education system. In addition, a practical model that can be performed according to the on-site practice guidelines for health and medical information management for each program was studied. Using the health care information management education EMR system, master data management, patient registration, doctor prescription, medical cost calculation, health insurance claim management, form management, discharge registration, cancer registration, unrecorded management, health care data management, health care statistics, A practice model was studied so that practice on information protection/security management can be performed. It will be possible to play a role as a health care information management expert by raising the quality level of health care information management education through systematic and standardized health care information management practice courses at universities. Accordingly, it is necessary to cultivate health care information management experts who develop and manage medical services based on medical data analysis through practical training of health care information managers.

The concept of portfolio is rarely understood and used in R&D management field. The conventional management technique in selecting R&D projects is scoring each projects and choosing projects based on the scores which are determined during evaluation. As a collection of good stocks is not necessarily a good stock portfolio, a collection of good R&D projects is not always a good R&D project portfolio. In this paper, framework and practical technique for constructing a R&D project portfolio are introduced. This technique can be easily applied in private and plublic R&D institutes.

The research presents a guideline for quality practitioners to provide a full comprehension of differences in theoretical and practical interpretations of assumed sampling errors of and significance probability of calculated p-value. Besides, the study recommends the use of statistical inferences methods with known parameters to identify the improvement effects. In practice, the quality practitioners obtain the known parameters through systematic quality Database (DB) activities.

The papaer reviews four theoretical acceptance sampling plans as OC(Operating Characteristics) curve based inspection, rectifying inspection, switching inspection, and continuous inspection. In addition, the study presents practical limitations of theoretical acceptance sampling by attribute and by variable. Finally, following research also recommends the sampling inspection based on production technology. However, the inspection method requires quality expertise with various experience and implicit knowledge of the field.

Agricultural water for rice growing is the important factor of water resources in Korea. so, it is imperative to know the practice of water management in paddy field. The experimental site has been operated in order to investigate water management practice and water supply discharge since 2001. There are 8 irrigation areas which are observed the water supply discharge in this site. We have investigate the water management practice in this site and we know that the practical date of rice growing stages and the date for calculating the water demand in paddy field. So, There is much differences between the calculated water demand and practical water supply. We could reduce the differences by calculating the water demand using the practical date of rice growing stages.
