  • Due to the increasing demands in comfortable drivability, most motor companies are developing their own unique shift controller to suppress the shift shock induced by gear change. For a typical automatic transmission system, the dynamic constraints of friction clutch was clarified for efficient program development and major factors effecting the shift transient was confirmed by simulation study. The MIMO LQG/LTR controller was designed to control the turbine and corresponding gear speed. By establishing the control strategy recalling transient response during shift the speed controller mentioned above was used as an indirect torque controller. Consequently a new concept for a systematic design method of shift controller applicable to wide-varying systems was suggested which is time efficient and cost efficient saving a lot of experimental study.

  • Application of the Rheocatch Hotwire Monitoring System for food biotechnology process was evaluated. The growth of microogranism, E coli (JM 83 and Sigma) and Corynesccfertun glutamicum, were monitored. in the fermentor. The cell growth could not be detected the temperature differences between the hotwire and samples($\Delta$T) as indicated by the monitoring system during the fermentation processes. The cell concentration of less than 2g/dl was not sufficient to generate the measurable temperature difference in the fermentor. In order to calibrate the Rheocatch Monitoring System, the temperature difference as a function of solute concentration (microbial cells, sodium cholide, sucrose and dextran) was studied. The relationship between $\Delta$T and the concentration of microbial cells, sucrose and dextran can be expressed in a power series. Further studied with dextran indicated that viscosity and/or kinematic viscosity increase exponentially with an increase in $\Delta$T This is regardless of the concentration and molecular weight of dextran. $\Delta$T linearly increases with the logarithm of molecular weight, while the logarithm of viscosity and the logarithm of kinematic viscosity increase with the logarithm of molecular weight.

  • New charge-recycling structure and driving scheme for TFT-LCD source-driver IC application are proposed. The number of additional switches for the charge recycling is greatly reduced. An experimental prototype 6-bit source driver with five-level seven-phase charge recycling implemented in a $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology demonstrates that the quiescent current is only 3.1 mA, dynamic power saving is 75 %, and the settling time, which includes the charge-recycling and data driving, is within 25 $25{\mu}s$.

  • The present metering transformer being used for measurement has the characteristics of high reliability and high efficiency. In the future, however, it is thought that the scales of mettering transformer will be larger and the cost of production will increase as the transmission voltage ascends to UHV. And, also, it wilt be not easy to ensure the aseismatic capability. For the purpose of settling these problems, by applying optical sensor technology to electric power systems and by developing optical current transformer and potential transformer, we will realize the saving in energy, reduction of cost prise, improvement in measuring precision.

  • Generally an incandescent lamp is made in the bulb with a horizontal position filament. In this paper the position of filament was changed Into a vortical position. When the position of filament is changed into a vertical position, efficacy is increased and color rendering is somewhat improved. In this subject the heat loss by a filling gas is important. The heat loss by a filling gas was calculated theoretically. The results in an Incandescent lamp experiment can be analyzed through the heat loss by a filling gas. As a filling gas the mixture of argon and nitrogen is used. The variation of lamp characteristics by the shape of filament rill be considered. The change by filament position to a vortical position is required in the field of power consumption saving of lighting system.

  • In this paper, deduced suitable optimization to request output condition after taking closely characteristic data of single phase induction motor(SIM) which is the possibility becoming economic is coming to be demanded. Motor proper move connection data took advantage of result of existing data and iron loss and copper loss, mechanical loss took advantage of statistical data, and decide motor move laking advantage of saving data and secondary resistance and optimum purpose of method that is proposed through single phase induction motor and comparison performance evaluation having on the same output parameter. That decide material factor, electric power damage ratio, and coefficient of utilization for optimum function by method that search request output and optimum values of efficiency case by case and decided is proper that is saved after take magnetizing reactance relationship. This research result which it sees against a material expense with use coefficient of utilization which is included in loss expense decides the same plan variable back the place efficiency is useful and will be applied.

  • The International maritime organization(IMO), in an effort to slow down the global warming, proposes reduction in ship's speed as a way to lower the rate emissions from ships. In addition, since ship's fuel cost have been increased, the shipping volumes, fuel-saving technology are being required urgently. Therefore, in this present study, a method of reducing the fuel cost that can improve the performance of the diesel engine was tried by introducing a predetermined amount (0.1~0.3% of the mass amount of fuel used) of hydrogen fuel additive. The experimental conditions of the test engine were 1500rpm and torque BMEP-10b ar. The engine performances (power output, fuel consumption rate, p-max, exhaust temperature) were compared before and after addition of hydrogen fuel additives. This experimental study confirmed reducing at least 2% fuel consumption and 2.19% NOx emission.

  • A simple and compact type of thermoelectric generator was developed as the energy saving system using waste hot water and low temperature waste heat sources. Sixteen of Bi-Te thermoelectric modules were packaged in series for thermoelectric conversion system using hot water as heat source. The thermoelectric generator shows the power output of about 4.5 W with the temperature difference of about 75 K at 40 $\Omega$ and 0.35 A for the electrical resistance and current of the used thermoelectric module, respectively.

  • 3D Modeling Solution can reduce projecting error and also make possible to design visually, so that it can minimize human resources. On the other hand, it has defects of operating difficulties caused by too much complex function, thus it consequently prevent user from prompt handling. According to this paper, the developed party S/W will help that user can construct the parts easily, can let everybody use 3D modeling solution readily, and make fast development of new product. This software will carry out prompt development of new product and derive satisfaction of customers from high quality. Also, saving time and expense naturally raise competitive power in consequence.
