무패킹 유압피스톤의 미세간격내 압력분포에 관한 연구 (Pressure Distribution in the Clearance of Packing-free Hydraulic Pistons)

  • The packing-free piston has become widely distributed in certain branches of instrument making and precision machine building. A large number of the most diversified instruments are now being constructed on the principle of the packing-free piston like piston manometers, vacuum manometers, hydraulic machines, dynamometers. hardness measuring instruments. power indicators, hydraulic scales, and many others. In spite of the widespread application of systems with a packing-free piston, there were practically no special papers to the theory and practice of the application of such systems. This paper describes the theoretical approaching method to get the pressure distribution profile between the piston and cylinder using finite element method.

종축 절골편을 이용한 생비골 부분이식술 (Longitudinal Splitting Free Vascularized Fibular Transplantation)

  • Free vascularized fibular transplantation is one of the most useful living bone reconstructive procedure in microsurgical field. Concerning about donor site morbidity, the donor has minor problems of ankle stability and muscle power weakness and transient peroneal nerve symptoms. That problems can be minimized with longitudinal splitted osteotomy on the donor fibula if the bone defect in recipient site is not so large. Half splitted fibula with peroneal arterial pedicle which contains nutrient artery and periosteal vessels, grafted bone can survive with those vascular supplies. Authors underwent five cases of half splitted free vascularized fibular transplantation from 1985. There were no evidence of devascularization in all cases, we can minimized donor morbidity with leaving half fibula intact on donor site. The problem of that technique is technically demanding in longitudinal splitting of bone without damage to peroneal nutrient vessels and periosteal soft tissues which attached to the bone. Authors can propose longitudinal half fibular transplantation is one of modification in free vascularized bone transplantation that minimize donor defect.

Free Surface Oscillation in Sloshing Problem Predicted with ALE Method

  • A numerical prediction method has been proposed to predict non-linear free surface oscillation in a three-dimensional container. The fluid motions are numerically predicted with Navier-Stokes equations discretized in a Lagrangian scheme with sufficient numerical accuracy. The profile of a free surface is precisely represented with three-dimensional body-fitted coordinates (BFC), which are regenerated in each computational step on the basis of the arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) formulation. In order to confirm the reliability of the computational method, it was firstly applied to three-dimensional flows within complicated-shaped rigid boundaries, such as curved pipes and ducts. Than it was applied to benchmark computations related to free surface oscillations. Following these basic verifications, non-linear sloshings in a cylindrical tank and transitions from sloshing to swirling motions were numerically predicted. Throughout these computations, the applicability of the present computational method has been confirmed and some of the predicted free surface motions were visualized as sequential images and animations to understand their dynamic futures.

Numerical analysis for free vibration of functionally graded beams using an original HSDBT

  • This work presents a free vibration analysis of functionally graded beams by employing an original high order shear deformation theory (HSDBT). This theory use only three unknowns, but it satisfies the stress free boundary conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the beam without requiring any shear correction factors. The mechanical properties of the beam are assumed to vary continuously in the thickness direction by a simple power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. In order to investigate the free vibration response, the equations of motion for the dynamic analysis are determined via the Hamilton's principle. The Navier solution technique is adopted to derive analytical solutions for simply supported beams. The accuracy and effectiveness of proposed model are verified by comparison with previous research.

  • This paper describes the continuing effort to analysis and design on dynamic and electrical behavior of gamma-type free piston Stirling engine/generator with dual-opposed linear generator for domestic micro-CHP (Combined Heat and Power) system. The double acting Stirling engine/generator has one displacer and two power piston which are supported by flexure springs. Two power pistons oscillate with symmetric sinusoidal displacement and are connected with moving magnet type linear generators for power generation. To operate Stirling engine/generator, combustion heat of natural gas is supplied to hot-end and heat is rejected from cold-end by cooling water. The temperature difference across the displacer induces the oscillating motion, and it can be explained with mass-spring vibration system. The purpose of this paper is to describe the design process of linear generator for the double acting free-piston Stirling engine.

우리나라 옥외 무선광통신 시스템의 링크 가용성 (Link Availability of Terrestrial Free-space Optical Communication Systems in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서 서울, 부산, 대전의 5년치 날씨 정보를 활용하여 우리나라 옥외 무선 광통신 시스템의 링크 가용성을 이론적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 기상 상태와 시계(visibility)를 이용하여 대기의 흡수와 산란이 유발하는 광전력 감쇠를 계산하였다. 또한 날씨 정보를 활용하여 신틸레이션에 의한 수신 광전력 변화를 예측하였다. 대기의 흡수 및 산란에 의한 광전력 손실과 신틸레이션에 의한 광전력 변화가 서로 무관하다는 가정 하에 수신 광전력과 수신 감도를 비교하여 링크 가용성을 도출하였다. 분석결과 10 dBm 송신기 출력과 7 cm 수광 직경을 가진 수신기를 사용한 3.5 km 시스템의 링크 가용성은 대전에서 95% 이상으로 예측되었다. 부산과 서울의 경우 대전보다 열악한 시계로 인하여 낮은 링크 가용성을 보였다.

저 전력소모와 높은 테스트용이성을 위한 새로운 논리 변환 방법 (A New Logic Transformation Method for Both Low Power and High Testability)

  • 본 논문에서는 저 전력소모와 높은 테스트용이성을 동시에 고려하기 위한 새로운 게이트 레벨 논리변환 방법을 제안한다. 주출력에서 관측될 확률이 낮은 CFF(Compact Fanout Free)를 찾아내고, 해당 CFF가 모든 주출력에서 관측불가능한 조건에서는 리던던트 연결을 첨가하여 내부에서 발생하는 스위칭 동작을 제거한다. 일반적으로 논리 변환된 회로의 테스트 용이성은 떨어지는 경향이 있다. 그러나 제안된 방법에서 첨가된 리던던트 연결은 테스트 모드에서 테스트 포인트로 동작하며 CFF의 제어도와 관측도를 동시에 향상시키게 된다. 따라서 논리 변환된 회로는 정상 모드에서는 전력 손실이 매우 낮으며, 테스트 모드에서는 높은 테스트용이성을 갖는다. 제안하는 논리 변환 방법의 효율성을 보이기 위하여 MCNC 벤치마크 테스트 회로에 대하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과로부터 변환된 회로의 전력소모는 최대 13%정도 감소하며, 고장 검출율은 오히려 증가함을 확인할 수 있다.

  • 19세기의 성리학은 화서(華西) 노사(蘆沙) 한주(寒洲)의 주리론(主理論)과 간재(艮齋)의 이기상호주재론(理氣相互主宰論)으로 대별할 수 있다. 이들은 '기(氣)의 자용(自用)을 막는다'는 문제의식을 공유하고 있었다. 그러나 학자들에 따라 '주재(主宰)'의 의미를 다르게 이해함으로써 다양한 논쟁이 야기되고, 결과적으로 '상이(相異)한 해법(解法)'을 제시하게 된 것이었다. 주리론자(主理論者)들은 대체로 '리(理)의 주재'를 '사실적 차원'에까지 확대 적용시키고, 리(理)에 능동성(能動性)을 부여하여 기(氣)를 완전히 제압하게 한다는 해법을 추구하였다. 반면에 간재(艮齋)는 '기(氣)의 능동성'만 인정하고 '리(理)의 능동성'을 부정하였다. 이것은 현실을 주도하는 것은 기(氣)라는 사실을 부정할 수 없다는 뜻이다. 그러면서도 간재(艮齋)는 기(氣)(심(心))를 제자(弟子)로 규정하고, 기(氣)(심(心))에 리(理)(표준(標準), 성(性))를 따라 작위(作爲)해야 한다는 '당위적 과제'를 부여함으로써 '기(氣)(심(心))의 자용(自用)'을 막는다는 해법을 추구하였다.

음향 공명 제거 및 과도 상태 전류를 제한시킨 고출력 메탈 헬라이드 램프용 전자식 안정기 설계 (The Electronic Ballast Design of Acoustic Resonance Free and Transient Over Current Limit for High Power MHL)

  • This paper presents the design of acoustic resonance free and over current limit during transient state consideration electronic ballast for 1.5kW Metal-Halide Lamp(MHL) that employs frequency modulation (FM) technique. The proposed ballast consists of a Full-Bridge(FB) rectifier, a passive power factor correction (PFC) circuit, a full-bridge inverter, an ignitor using LC resonance and a control circuit for frequency modulation. The frequency modulation technique is the most effective solution to eliminate acoustic resonance among other technique. It spreads power spectrum of lamp to reduce the supplied power spectrum under the energy level of eigen-value frequency. Moreover, the proposed ballast is simple and cost effective above conventional ballast. A new PFC circuit is proposed which combines with LCD type and PCSR filter. A new PFC circuit has higher PF and lower THD than conventional LCD type and secure high reliability. Finally, to protected switching components in transient state, the surge current into ballast is limited by increase the switching frequency. Performance of the proposed ballast was validated through computer simulation using Pspice, experimentation and by applying it to an electronic ballast for a prototype 1.5kW MHL.
