변압기용 차음판의 진동 소음 특성 분석 (The vibration and noise characteristics analysis of Sound Insulation Panel for Transformer)

  • Recently, The demands for the reduction of noise generated by transformers have been increasing. Almost all of the noise generated by transformers is a result of magnetostricitive vibration in the core. The noise radiates into the atmosphere from the tank through the insulation oil. As the noise of transformer irritates residents, needs for decreasing the noise of transformer have been arised. One method of reduction such a noise is to build a free-standing enclosure of concrete and steel plates around the transformer. However, this method has some disadvantages. Another method of noise reduction is to mount a close-fitting sound insulation panel on the side of a transformer tank. Side plate vibrations of transformer are transmitted to such a sound insulation panel along two paths. In one case, they are transmitted through air by sound pressure and in the other through supporting structures. In the paper, the vibration and noise effect which is transferred from reinforce channel to insulation panel generated by transformer have been identified for the several kinds of insulation panel and damping sheet analytically and experimetally.

압전 변압기를 이용한 인버터식 네온관용 변압기에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Inverter Type Neon Power Supply Using a Piezoelectric Transformer)

  • 본 연구에서는 네온 변압기를 세라믹 계열의 압전 변압기를 이용한 인버터식 네온관용 변압기를 제안하였다 인버터식 네온관용 압전 변압기의 주요 구성은 정류부, 발진부, 공진형 하프브릿지 인버터회로부 및 압전 변압기부로 구성 제작하였다. 네온관용 변압기는 지금까지 개발된 압전 변압기 용량 보다 대부분 큰 용량을 필요로 하고 있기 때문에 압전 변압기의 용량 증가를 위해 병렬 구동하였다 이때 병렬로 연결된 단층형 압전 변압기간 내부 임피던스 값의 불일치로 발생하는 불평형 전류를 최소화 하기 위하여 압전 변압기별로 LC 필터값을 분석 부착하여 전압의 왜곡율을 최소화 하여 안정된 정현파 출력을 구현하였다. 그리고 이를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 실험과 실제 네온관 부착 실험을 통하여 전력 밀도와 절연 레벨이 높고, 누설 자속이 없는 소형, 경량화된, 압전 변압기를 적용한 인버터식 네온관용 변압기가 기존의 자기식 네온관용 변압기 보다 우수함을 비교 입증하였다.

A Fully Integrated Dual-Band WLP CMOS Power Amplifier for 802.11n WLAN Applications

  • A fully integrated dual-band CMOS power amplifier (PA) is developed for 802.11n WLAN applications using wafer-level package (WLP) technology. This paper presents a detailed design for the optimal impedance of dual-band PA (2 GHz/5 GHz PA) output transformers with low loss, which is provided by using 2:2 and 2:1 output transformers for the 2 GHz PA and the 5 GHz PA, respectively. In addition, several design issues in the dual-band PA design using WLP technology are addressed, and a design method is proposed. All considerations for the design of dual-band WLP PA are fully reflected in the design procedure. The 2 GHz WLP CMOS PA produces a saturated power of 26.3 dBm with a peak power-added efficiency (PAE) of 32.9%. The 5 GHz WLP CMOS PA produces a saturated power of 24.7 dBm with a PAE of 22.2%. The PA is tested using an 802.11n signal, which satisfies the stringent error vector magnitude (EVM) and mask requirements. It achieved an EVM of -28 dB at an output power of 19.5 dBm with a PAE of 13.1% at 2.45 GHz and an EVM of -28 dB at an output power of 18.1 dBm with a PAE of 8.9% at 5.8 GHz.

  • This paper describes a dynamic var compensator to compensate the line reactance for power transmission and distribution system. The compensator consists of a voltage source inverter with dc capacitor, coupling transformers, and control circuit. The operation of compensator was verified by computer simulations with EMPT and experimental works with a scaled hardware model. The advantage of the proposed system is rapid and continuous regulation of the reactive power.

  • This paper presents analysis of control characteristics of high power hybrid multilevel PWM rectifier without bulky and heavy isolation transformers. It will be shown that the DC voltages for multilevel output generation may be directly built up from AC utility source. The multilevel PWM rectifier is analyzed by using the circuit DQ transformation whereby the static and dynamic characteristics and some useful design equations are obtained. Finally to confirm the validity of the analysis MATLAB simulation are carried out.

  • In order to evaluate the nominal rating of breakers in distribution system due to the increased capacity of power transformer from 60 to 100 MVA, the fault currents are calculated in the condition of 3-phase fault and single line-to-ground fault. Consequently, under the condition of the parallel operation of transformers the fault currents were exceed the nominal rating current of breakers in some areas.

  • This paper proposes the application of coreless PCB transformer to Half-Bridge (HB), Zero-voltage-Switched (ZVS) DC/DC converter for FPL lamp with electronic ballast in vehicle. The designed 5 coreless PCB transformers for ballast driving voltage are parallel-connected in primary windings and series-connected in secondary windings. Coreless PCB transformer is designed to have spiral winding in order to transfer higher energy. The computer simulations of the proposed power circuit show coreless PCB transformer to have good performance.

  • This paper describes an exciting current calculation method for transformers by finite element method. In case of a special case such as air-gap presence, one can not calculate exciting current accurately using exciting power curves due to flinging effect, magnetic saturation and so on. Transient analysis with external circuit is performed with a 2D model and compared to a test result.

  • This Paper deals with the short circuit tests of the three-Phase DC reactor type fault current limiter (FCL) in changing of turns ratio of transformers. The experiment of this paper is a preliminary step to develop the FCL's faculties for an application to high voltage transmission line. So, superconducting coil was made of Nb-Ti, low temperature superconductor, and the ratings of the power system of experimental circuit are 400V/7A class. A three-phase DC reactor type FCL consists of three transformers, six diodes, one superconducting coil and one cryostat. The important point of experimental analysis is transient period, the operating lagging time of circuit breaker. As the results of the experiment, the values are referred to the limitation rate about 77% and 90% when the turns ratio of transformer was 1:1 and 2:1 respectively.

고성능 공통암 IHCML 인버터를 위한 새로운 벡터 제어 방식 (A New Simplified Vector Control For A High Performance Common-Arm IHCML Inverter)

  • In this paper, a novel space vector control method for isolated multi-level inverter using 3-phase low frequency transformers is proposed. This method is based on the simplification of the space-vector diagram of a five-level inverter using calculated table into fully programming method. The execution time of the proposed method is about same as that of the method using calculated table. Also, the proposed method is easily applied to other case level inverter. We applied this method into the 3-phase IHCML inverter using common arm. It makes possible to use a single DC power source due to employing low frequency transformers. In this inverter, the number of transformers could be reduced compare with an exiting 3-phase multi-level inverter using single phase transformer. In addition, this method generates very low harmonic distortion operation with nearly fundamental switching frequency. Finally, We tested multi-level inverter to clarify electric circuit and reasonableness through Matlab simulation and experiment by using prototype inverter.
