The planning strategy of robotics technology for nuclear decommissioning in Taiwan

  • According to the market research report, the nuclear decommissioning services market is currently experiencing considerable growth, with a projected Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of nearly 13% during the 2020-2024 forecast period. This expansion is primarily fueled by the advancement of Industry 4.0, in conjunction with the emergence of cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and 5G. Even though the fact that robots have already been utilized in the nuclear industry, their adoption has been hindered by conservative regulations. However, the nuclear decommissioning market presents an opportunity for the advancement of robotics technology. The British have already invested heavily in encouraging the use of intelligent robots for nuclear decommissioning, and other countries, such as Taiwan, should follow suit. Taiwan's flourishing robotics development industry in manufacturing, logistics, and other domains can be leveraged to introduce advanced robotics in the decommissioning of its nuclear power plants. By doing so, Taiwan can establish itself as a competitive player in the nuclear decommissioning services market for the next two decades.

Foucault의 후기구조주의적 시각에서 본 19세기 패션에 표현된 성 - 19세기 중.후반 남녀 주류 패션과 반패션에 나타난 여성성과 남성성을 중심으로 - (Sexuality Expressed in the 19C Fashion in Foucauldian Post-Structural Perspective - Focusing on Femininity and Masculinity Represented in the Mainstream Fashion and Anti-Fashion in the Middle and Latter of the Nineteenth Century -)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand sexuality expressed in fashion in a discursive view and reinterpret sexuality represented in fashion in the 19th century in Foucauldian post-structural perspective. As for methodology, at first the conception of sexuality was examined from structural feminism to post-structural pluralism by a literature review and discussed in relation with the matters of body and fashion on the basis of Foucault's discourse. Then, sexuality represented in the 19C fashion as a case study was re-estimated in terms of power relationship between dominant and oppositional discourses and mainstream fashion and anti-fashion as well. The conception of sexuality in Foucauldian post-structuralism maintains the view of plural sexuality, which floats by discourse and power produced in a specific historical context. In the Foucauldian perspective sexuality expressed in the mainstream fashion and anti-fashion in the nineteenth century shows the following aspects. The mainstream fashion in the middle and latter of the 19C made the clear sexual difference in dress of plain and functional male suit and extravagant and decorative female dress on the center of bourgeois masculinity in the context of modernity and capitalism. Although anti-fashion was also co-existed with the mainstream fashion, it was criticized by the Victorian people. It codifies sexual ideology of the binary opposition of male domination and female subordination. Therefore, the traditional sexual ideology in the 19C is a capitalist value, which gives a priority to bourgeois man's profits, and the Victorian discourses of sexuality constructs the clear sexual difference in dress in the period.

이상미에 따른 여성 속옷 구성에 관한 연구(2) - 20세기 후기를 중심으로- (A Study on Women's Underwear Structures by Ideal Beauty - Focused on the late period of 20th century -)

  • The purpose of this study is firstly to survey the social and cultural background of 20th century and women´s status, and to identify what the ideal body is like and what the elements of outer garment and underwear are and the techniques to incarnate the ideal beauty. Various papers are referenced for theoretical study and the elements and techniques of underwear are analyzed based on photographical materials. This paper concludes as follows. In 1960´s, ideal beauty was small bust, long legs, which showed extremely slim Mini-skirt look. Thinly or no padded brassiere were worn for small bust, and pants-style short panty girdles were popular as they used to wear pants frequently. Lycra replaced all the closures, bones, seams and gave freedom with light weight. In 1970´s, a natural human body without sex specific was in vogue. Therefore, the non-structural knits without a pad or lining or the shirts dress were widespread for a Natural look and the naturally molded brassiere or girdles were worn as the underwears. In 1980´s, the women with powerful muscle appear which emphasized liveliness and healthfulness. The body conscious represented by wide shoulder, plump breast, accented waist, small hips, and long legs has been embodied. Outer garments emphasized women power and healthy beauty with Power suit and Form-fitting style, and underwears made the breast plump with padded brassiere and emphasized waist and hips with waspie. In 1990´s, ideal beauty was slim body with big bust and the outer garments emphasized body line of women with Hourglass silhouette. Push-up bra which emphasizes the valley of breast and supports the breast upward and the control tights for slim waist, flat abdomen, small hips, and long and slim legs have been useful as underwears. Multi-functional micro-fiber has been ideal for sculpting women body.

  • 본 논문에서는 IoT 지능화한 Arduino를 기반으로 한 디바이스와 MyndPlay를 이용한 인터페이스를 사용해 현재 많은 나라들이 연구비를 집중시키고, 많은 연구를 활성화 시키고 있는 뇌 - 컴퓨터 인터페이스(Brain - Computer Interface)를 만들고, 최종적으로는 EEG(Electroencephalography)를 기반으로 뇌 - 컴퓨터 인터페이스의 목적인 뇌- 컴퓨터 접속(Brain - Computer Connection)환경을 만들고자한다. EEG(Electroencephalography) 기반의 장비를 착용한 사람의 뇌파를 인식하고, 분석, 분류함으로 사용자의 상태에 맞게 지능화된 사물을 설계하는 것에 관한 연구를 진행했으며, 휴대폰과 같은 다른 디바이스와 통신하기 위해서 XBee와 Bluetooth를 사용했다. 최종적으로 사용자의 현재 상태를 뇌파를 통해 확인하고 전원의 조절과 다른 사물을 EEG로 제어할 수 있게 구현하는 논문이다.

Proposal for the list of potential radionuclides of interest during NPP site characterization or final status surveys

  • In the research or project planning for the decommissioning of a nuclear power plant, one of several preparations will be the establishment of a list of potential radionuclides to be considered at the time of characterization or final status surveys. Reliable data for selection of potential radionuclides during the transition period to prepare for decommissioning will depend heavily on historical data at the site or, where possible, sampling analysis. However, during the transition period, direct sampling can be challenging, depending on the circumstances of the site or national regulation. A methodology of selecting potential radionuclides for nuclear facility sites which largely consists of three major processes: production of initial list of radionuclides, selection of the insignificant radionuclide that will be eliminated, and consideration of site characterization or sampling. For developing a preliminary list of potential radionuclides for Kori Unit 1 decommissioning, the list of initial radionuclides was made referring to the technical documents applied at decommissioned NPPs in the U.S and additional reference materials applied until the operation of NPPs in Korea. For the screening of insignificant radionuclides, we applied criterion of less than 0.1% of the amount of radioactivity inventory and confirmed the dose fraction using the RESRAD code. The final suit of radionuclides was established, which should be supplemented by reflecting site characterization and sampling process in the future. Thus, the methodology and results for the selection of potential radionuclides suggested in this paper can give an insight as a future reference to deriving DCGLs in relation to site remediation of decommissioning nuclear plants.

내부정합된 GaN HMET를 이용한 광대역 J-급 전력증폭기 설계 (Wideband Class-J Power Amplifier Design Using Internal Matched GaN HEMT)

  • 이동통신 시스템의 멀티미디어 서비스 확산과 고속통신 기능의 수요를 충족시키기 위해서 다중대역 전력증폭기의 고효율, 광대역 특성 및 비선형 특성의 개선이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 J-급 전력증폭기 동작조건을 만족하는 2차 고조파 정합회로를 단일-스터브 정합회로로 구성하였다. 광대역 J-급 동작조건을 만족시키기 위해 단일-스터브 정합회로는 낮은 특성임피던스를 갖는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 낮은 특성 임피던스를 갖는 단일-스터브 정합회로를 패키지 내에 높은 유전율의 세라믹 기판을 이용하여 구현하였다. 이에 따라 2차 고조파 정합회로가 패키지된 GaN HEMT와 외부 기본파 정합회로를 이용하여 넓은 주파수 대역에서 J-급 출력 임피던스 조건을 만족하는 전력증폭기를 구현하였다. 제작된 J-급 전력증폭기 측정 결과, 1.8~2.7 GHz(900 MHz)의 대역폭에서 50 W(47 dBm) 이상의 출력전력과 최대 72.6 %의 드레인 효율, 최대 66.5 %의 PAE 특성을 확인하였다.

PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)와 공중통신망을 이용한 하천수위감시시스템 구축 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Implementation of a River Water Level Monitoring System using PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) and Public Telecommunication Network)

  • 낙동강 하굿둑의 주요 기능인 염수피해 방지와 홍수 배제를 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여, 주요 지점의 하천 수위 변화를 감시하여 하굿둑 수문(水門) 운영에 신속히 반영할 수 있도록 하천수위감시시스템을 구축하였다. 하굿둑 운영에 직접 영향을 미치는 낙동강 본류 3개 지점에 PLC와 공중통신망을 이용하여 시스템을 구축하고, 하굿둑 통합운영시스템과 연계하였다. PLC를 활용하여 안정성과 범용성을 확보하고 유지관리의 편의성을 제고할 수 있었다. 전원 제어장치를 설치하여 경고장 발생 시 원격에서 신속히 조치를 취한 뒤, 초기화할 수 있도록하여 현장까지의 출동 횟수를 대폭 감소시킬 수 있었다. 현장 데이터 저장 기능을 추가하여, 통신망 이상 등으로 데이터가 센터로 전송되지 못할 경우를 대비하였으며, 통신망은 공중통신망인 ADSL(FTTH)을 이용하여 경제성을 고려하였고, CDMA(M2M)를 보조망으로 구성하여 이중화하였다. 공중통신망의 보안 취약성을 보완하기 위하여 전용망과 같은 효과를 볼 수 있도록 VPN을 각각 설치하고, 가상사설망을 통하여 센터와 관측국이 통신하도록 하였다. 일반적으로 하천 수위관측국에는 목적에 따라 전용의 원격터미널을 이용하고 있으나, 본 사례는 범용적인 PLC를 이용하여 개방적 구조의 시스템을 구축함으로써, 향후 유역통합물관리에 대비하여 여러시스템간의 인터페이스와 유지관리의 용이성, 보안성, 경제성을 고려한 모델이라는 점에 의의가 있다.

  • One of most important problems in the Monsoon Asia today is the production of rice paddy to meet the needs of the ever increasing population. Diversemeans are being employed to meet this demand, both by increasing productivity of existing farm land and by bringing further areas into cultivation. The primary step in either field is to ensure that there is sufficient moisture in the soil to suit the paddy, and at the same this means that excess moisture has to be drained off the land, while in others irrigat ion has to be employed to bring sufficient water to an area. In view of the fact that the project comprises a huge amount of earthwork, it can be carried out by extensive use of construction machinery in order to shorten the period. As farm ditch has a comparatively small section with shallow cutting depth, inaddition, there is lack of access road in the field, the excavation equipment with bulldozer or tracter-shovel (backhoe) type are not applicable because there are mostly adapted for the excavation of deep and wide section. Mini-backhoe with its bucket width not larger than 0. 3m, and width of blade not larger than 1. 00m seems to be more adaptable. About 80% of excavation of ditch section will be done by the machinery while the other 20% of excavation together with the finishing of the section are supposed to be done by man-power. The embankment of ditch section can be compacted by the crawler of backhoe when it is moving along the ditch for excavation. However, Lowland paddy field in the Monsoon Asia are made particulary in rain season, therefore, heavy machinery is not easy excavation for ditch. It is very important to know exact ground support power of the working site and select machines with corresponding ground pressure. Ground support power is variable subject to quality and water content of soil and therefore selection of machines should be made duly considering ground condition of the site at the time of construction works. Farm ditches dug and compacted by mannual labar are of poor quality and subject to destruction after one or two years of operation. On the other hand, excavation and compaction by bulldozer is not practical for ditches. Backboe is suitable for slope land, but this is required cycle time of bucket excavation and dumped out. If a small-scale farm ditch trencher adaptable to lowland paddy field is invented, such a machine could greatly accelerate the massive construction work envisaged in many countries and thus significantly speed up the most difficult part of irrigation development and management in Monsoon Asia.

가동 원전의 외부사건 분석에 기반한 잠재적 극한자연재해의 선별 (Screening Cases of Potential Extreme Natural Hazards Based on External Event Analysis of Operational Nuclear Power Plants)

  • 원자력 발전소는 안전하게 운영될 수 있도록 설계단계에서 자연재해를 포함한 예상 가능한 모든 외부사건들이 고려되고 있다. 그러나 최근에 기후변화로 인해 설계를 초과하는 자연재해의 발생 가능성이 증가하면서 설계 당시에 예측하지 못했던 극한자연재해와 외부사건에 대해 세심한 검토가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 원전 부지별 잠재적 극한자연재해를 선별하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 원전 부지특성과 원전 부지별 외부재해로 인해 발생한 사건을 조사하고 분석하였다. 그리고 기존 문헌과 연구 자료를 조사하여 국내 원전 실정에 맞는 선별절차와 기준을 수립하였다. 본 연구에서 수립된 선별기준에 근거하여 원전 부지별로 정성적 선별을 수행하였고, 선별된 자연재해를 대상으로 정량적 선별과 현장실사를 통해 국내 원전 부지별 잠재적 극한자연재해를 선별하였다. 선별 결과, 폭우에 의한 내부침수 이외에도 강풍에 의한 풍압과 극한 공기압이 모든 부지에서 공통적인 잠재적 극한자연재해로 선별되었다. 그리고 고리부지의 경우 폭풍해일이 1순위의 잠재적 극한자연재해로 선정되었다.

여고생의 라이프스타일에 따른 신발 구매 행동과 착용만족도 (Shoes Purchasing Behavior and Wearing Satisfaction Related with Lifestyle of High School Girls)

  • Teenagers are considered as one of important consumer groups by marketers because of their high purchasing power and impulsive purchasing propensity. Especially high school girls are most significant purchasing group of them. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of high school girls' lifestyle on shoes purchasing behavior and shoes wearing satisfaction. This study surveyed 428 high school girls in Seoul and Chonbuk area. Data were statistically analyzed using SAS 9.1.3 for Window. Major statistical methods are factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, cluster analysis, frequency analysis, Chi-square test, multiple regression analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test. The shoes purchasing behavior is significantly different according to students' lifestyle. Activity-pursuing group's major shoes purchasing factor is practical use and fashion & scholar-pursuing group's major shoes purchasing factors are fashion and brand. Relationship between lifestyle and shoes purchasing pattern is as follows. Activity-pursuing group and fashion & scholar-pursuing group purchased shoes more frequently than family-pursuing group. Fashion & scholar-pursuing-group purchased shoes for the harmony of suit and shoes. As for wearing satisfaction, design is the primary factor and price was the least significant factor in sports shoes, while durability is the primary factor and material is the least significant factor for the casual shoes.
