Nowadays, the PV systems have been focused on the interconnection between the power source and the grid. The PV inverter, either single-phase or three-phase, can be considered as the core of the whole system because of an important role in the grid-interconnecting operation. An important issue in the inverter control is the load current regulation. In the literature, the Proportional+Integral (PI) controller, normally used in the current-controlled Voltage Source Inverter (VSI), cannot be a satisfactory controller for an ac system because of the steady-sate error and the poor disturbance rejection, especially in high-frequency range. By comparison with the PI controller, the Proportional+Resonant (PR) controller can introduce an infinite gain at the fundamental ac frequency; hence can achieve the zero steady-state error without requiring the complex transformation and the dq-coupling technique. In this paper, a PR controller is designed and adopted for replacing the PI controller. Based on the theoretical analyses, the PR controller based control strategy is implemented in a 32-bit fixed-point TMS320F2812 DSP and evaluated in a 3kW experimental prototype Photovoltaic (PV) power conditioning system (PCS). Simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the performance of implemented control scheme in PV PCS.

Internal combustion generation (ICG) is used to supply power to islands due to geographical characteristics, but there are some problems, such as considerable operating cost, salt pollution, and environmental pollution. For these islands, KEPCO pays a significant amount of operating deficit each year, especially for the fuel and servicing costs, which account for a large portion of this deficit. Integrated ICG (IICG) through an offshore cable between near islands is being considered to decrease servicing costs. Distributed generation (DG) is also being introduced on the islands because of the demand for a low-carbon society. In hybrid internal combustion generation (HICG), DG is introduced into IICG, which can be applied because the DG output is insufficient due to environmental characteristics, and the IICG is used as an auxiliary power source. Therefore, this paper proposes an algorithm to estimate the optimal DG capacity that can be introduced in accordance with the KEPCO operating deficit in the HICG. According to simulations, the optimal DG capacity depends on the fuel cost and load capacity. The validity of the proposed algorithm was confirmed for multiple islands with different peak loads.
This study was aimed to minimize the impact force and vibration transmitted to the transporting materials from the trailer and wheel shaft by installing the leaf spring suspension device at the space between the wheel shaft and frame of power tiller trailer. The developed trailer equipped with leaf spring suspension device was compared to the existing trailer without suspension device, in order to identify the vibration absorption effect of the leaf spring. The results of this study could be summarized as follows; (1) The length and the maximum bending amount of the leaf spring were designed as 1,000 mm and 42 mm, respectively, considering the possible space for installing at below the trailer. When 4 leaf springs were installed on both wheel shafts, the allowable maximum load was identified as 9,418 N. (2) The average vibration accelerations for the frequency less than 20 Hz, where the severe transporting loss could be represented, were $0.017\;m/s^2$ and $0.133\;m/s^2$ for the developed and the existing trailer, respectively, showing the vibration absorption effect of about 87%. And the average vibration accelerations on the driver's seat for the frequency less than 20 Hz were $0.01\;m/s^2$ and $0.20\;m/s^2$ for the developed and the existing trailer, respectively, which showed the similar vibration absorption effect. (3) The change of the average vibration accelerations for the frequency from 20 Hz to 80 Hz showed the similar tendency with the result for the frequency less than 20 Hz, but the effect for developed trailer was reduced slightly. And the effect of vibration absorption for the above 80 Hz was reduced highly. However, by installing the leaf spring suspension device at the trailer, the low frequency below 40 Hz, which could affect on transporting loss severely, could be reduced highly. (4) The maximum vibration acceleration for the frequency less than 20 Hz were $0.027\;m/s^2$ and $1.267\;m/s^2$ for the developed and the existing trailer, respectively. And the change of maximum acceleration between 20 Hz and 120 Hz was showed similar tendency with the result for the frequency less than 20 Hz, but the width of change was reduced highly.

The development of information and communication technology has been carried out actively in the field of agriculture to generate valuable information from large amounts of data and apply big data technology to utilize it. Crops and their varieties are determined by the influence of the natural environment such as temperature, precipitation, and sunshine hours. This paper derives the climatic factors affecting the production of crops using the garlic growth process and daily meteorological variables. A prediction model was also developed for the production of garlic per unit area. A big data analysis technique considering the growth stage of garlic was used. In the exploratory data analysis process, various agricultural production data, such as the production volume, wholesale market load, and growth data were provided from the National Statistical Office, the Rural Development Administration, and Korea Rural Economic Institute. Various meteorological data, such as AWS, ASOS, and special status data, were collected and utilized from the Korea Meteorological Agency. The correlation analysis process was designed by comparing the prediction power of the models and fitness of models derived from the variable selection, candidate model derivation, model diagnosis, and scenario prediction. Numerous weather factor variables were selected as descriptive variables by factor analysis to reduce the dimensions. Using this method, it was possible to effectively control the multicollinearity and low degree of freedom that can occur in regression analysis and improve the fitness and predictive power of regression analysis.

Based on the data accumulated through EMU fault management, this paper examines the reliability of old railway car parts and proposes measurements to improve safety. Subway Line 7 of the Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation, auxiliary power unit (Static Inverter) of the EMU second version is a core equipment to supply power to various room-service units in cars and make an effect directly on passenger satisfaction. To analyze the pattern of failure throughout the field data over a long period of time, this analysis of statistics and reliability considers the operating environment and stress factors. This statistical analysis presents the correlation between failure and the temperature stress factors related to frequent failure occurring intensively in summer. In addition, throughout the analysis of the life of the IGBT inverter, the effect of the temperature stress factor was observed before and after the repair. As a result of an analysis of the optimal operating conditions considering two variations of EMU, such as variable load and outside temperature, a difference in the cooling capacity between the optimal operating conditions and frequent failure conditions was observed. Based on this analysis, this paper suggests a way to minimize cooling capacity difference for the optimal operational conditions.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the causal model of nurses' organizational commitment. Based on literature review and Fishbein's behavioral intentions model ((Fishbein. 1967: Fishbein & Ajzen. 1975). the organizational commitment was conceptualized within a motivational framework that mediate between antecedents variables and outcome variables. Antecedent variables were pay, promotional chances. continuing education opportunity. rigidity of the administration. paticipative decision making, latitude, group support, role conflict, work load, need for achievement. experience and pride for professional nursing. Outcome variable was turnover intention. The subjects were 373 nurses who were working at 2 large general hospitals located in Seoul. It represents a response rate of 94%. Data for this study was collected from August 29 to September 22 in 1997 by Questionnaire. Path analysis with LISREL 7.16 prigram was used to test the fit of the proposed conceptual model to data and to examine the causal relationships among variables. The result showed that both the proposed model and the modified model fit the data excellently. It needs to be notified, however. that path analysis can not count measurment errors: measurement error can attenuate estimates of coefficient and explanatory power. Nontheless the model revealed considerable explanatory power for organizational commitment (58%), pride for professional nursing (50%) and turnover intention(40%). In predicting nurses' organizational commitment, the findings of this study clearly demonstrated 'the pride for professional nursing' might be the most important variables of all the antecedent variables. Group support, role conflict, need for achievement were also found to be important determinants for the organizational commitment and turnover intention, The result showed experience might be a predictor for 'pride for professional nursing' and 'turnover intention' but not 'organizational commitment', 'Rigidity of the administration' and latitude were also found to have important roles in predictingr the organizational commitment, while participative decision making might have an impact on turnover intention. On the other hand promotional chance had an influence on all the outcome variables, while pay only on turnover intention. In predicting turnover intention, the result clearly revealed 'the pride for professional nursing' and 'organizational commitment' might be the most powerful predictors among all the variables. Theses results were discussed, including directions for the future research and practical implications drawn from the research were suggested.

Diverse multimedia services will be deployed at hand on 3G-and-beyond multi-service CDMA systems in order to satisfy different quality of service (QoS) according to traffic types. In order to use appropriate resources efficiently the call admission control (CAC) as a major resource control mechanism needs to be used to take care of efficient utilization of limited resources. In this paper, we propose a QoS-aware CAC (QCAC) that is enabled to provide service fairness and service differentiation in accordance with priority order and that applies the different thresholds in received power considering different QoS requirements such as different bit error rates (BER) when adopting total received power as the ceil load estimation. The proposed QCAC calculates the different thresholds of the different traffic types based on different required BER applies it for admission policy, and can get service fairness and differentiation in terms of call dropping probability as a main performance metric. The QCAC is aware of the QoS requirement per traffic type and allows admission discrimination according to traffic types in order to minimize the probability of QoS violation. Also the CAC needs to consider the resource allocation schemes such as complete sharing (CS), complete partitioning (CP), and priority sharing(PS) in order to provide fairness and service differentiation among traffic types. Among them, PS is closely related with the proposed QCAC having differently calculated threshold per each traffic type according to traffic priority orders.

$N_2O$(Nitrous Oxide) is known as the third major GHG(Green House Gas) following $CO_2$(Carbon Oxide) and $CH_4$(Methane). The GWP(Global Warming Potential) factor of $N_2O$ is 310 times as large as that of $CO_2$ because $N_2O$ in the atmosphere is very stable, and it becomes a source of secondary contamination after photo-degradation in the stratosphere. Investigation on the cause of the $N_2O$ formation have been continuously reported by several researchers on power sources with continuous combustion form, such as a boiler. However, in the diesel engine, research on $N_2O$ generation which has effected from fuel components has not been conducted. Therefore, in this research, author has investigated about $N_2O$ emission rates which was changed by nitrogen and sulfur concentration in fuel on the diesel engine. The test engine was a 4-stroke direct injection diesel engine with maximum output of 12 kW at 2600rpm, and operating condition of that was set up at a 75% load. Nitrogen and sulfur concentrations in fuel were raised by using six additives : nitrogen additives were Pyridine, Indole, Quinoline, Pyrrol and Propionitrile and sulfur additive was Di-tert-butyl-disulfide. In conclusion, diesel fuels containing nitrogen elements less than 0.5% did not affect $N_2O$ emissions in the all concentrations and kinds of the additive agent in the fuel. However, increasing of the sulfur additive in fuel increased $N_2O$ emission in exhaust gas.
