  • In this paper, we present an intermediate representation CDFG(Control Data Flow Graph) and an efficient scheduling technique for low power circuit design. The proposed CDFG represents control flow, data dependency and such constraints as resource constraints and timing constraints. In the scheduling technique, the constraints are substituted by subgraphs, and then the number of subgraphs is minimized by using the inclusion and overlap relation efficiently. Also, iterative rescheduling process are performed in a minimum bound estimation, starting with the as soon as possible as scheduling result, so as to reduce the power consumption in low power design. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm has been proven by the experiment with the benchmark examples.

  • Shift quality of an automatic transmission in a vehicle is mainly affected by transient pressures in the hydraulic system during shifting. In this study, dynamic modelings of the hydraulic system and the power train of an automatic transmission are made systematically by a bond-graph method. The dynamic characteristics of the line pressures and clutch/brake pressures during shiftings are investigated by simulations and verified by experiments. The effects of clutch/brake pressures on the shift torque are also investigated through driving simulation.

  • In this paper, we construct nilpotent semigroups S such that $S^n=\{0\}$, $S^{n-1}{\neq}\{0\}$ and ${\Gamma}(S)$ is a refinement of the star graph $K_{1,n-3}$ with center $c$ together with finitely many or infinitely many end vertices adjacent to $c$, for each finite positive integer $n{\geq}5$. We also give counting formulae to calculate the number of the mutually non-isomorphic nilpotent semigroups when $n=5$, 6 and in finite cases.

  • The paper is that study method to reduce bad influence that act to the floating fish cage by effect of environment in sea. Fish cage is controlled buoyancy using air control. According to marine environment, it is descend automatically to set-up depth and rise on the surface of the sea. The paper is the preceding research for a practical application. The fish cage simplified with the spherical float body. Then a control algorithm and a program developed by the experiment. And we did modelling by bond graph technique, and controlled by the practical reference model for PID control.

  • This paper introduces design method for air pump system using bond graph and genetic programming to maximize outflow subject to a constraint specifying maximum power consumption. The air pump system is a mixed domain system which includes electromagnetic, mechanical and pneumatic elements. Therefore an appropriate approach for a better system for synthesis is required. Bond graphs are domain independent, allow free composition, and are efficient for classification and analysis of models. Genetic programming is well recognized as a powerful tool for open-ended search. The combination of these two powerful methods, BG/GP, was tested for redesign of air pump system.

  • This paper describes an a, pp.oach to recognizing composite features of prismatic parts. AAG (Attribute Adjacency Graph) is adopted as the basis of describing basic feature, but it is extended to enhance the expressive power of AAG by adding face type, angles between faces and normal vectors. Our a, pp.oach is called Extended AAG (EAAG). To simplify the recognition procedure, feature classification tree is built using the graph types of EEA and the number of EAD's. Algorithms to find open faces and dimensions of features are exemplified and used in decomposing composite feature. The processing sequence of recognized features is automatically determined during the decomposition process of composite features.

  • To investigate the influence of partial discharge(PD) distribution characteristics due to various defects on the power cable joints interface, we used the K-means clustering method. As the result of PD number(n) distribution analyzing on $\Phi-n$ graph, the phase angle($\Phi$) of cluster centroid shifted to $0^{\circ}\;and\;180^{\circ}$ increasing with applying voltage. It was confirmed that the PD quantify(q) and euclidean distance of centroid were increased with applying voltage from the centroid distribution analyzing of $\Phi-q$ plane. The dispersion degree was increased with calculated standard deviation of the $\Phi-q$ cluster centroid. The PD number and mean value on $\Phi-q$ graph were some different by electric field concentration with defect types.

  • A new algorithm of constructing binary decision diagram(BDD) for design verification of switch-level circuits is proposed in this paper. In the switch-level circuit, functions are characterized by serial and parallel connections of switches and the final logic values may have high-impedance and unstable states in addition to the logic values of 0 and 1. We extend the BDD to represent functions of switch-level circuits as acyclic graphs so called switch-level binary decision diagram (SLBDD). The function representation of the graph is in the worst case, exponential to the number of inputs. Thus, the ordering of decision variables plays a major role in graph sizes. Under the existence of pass-transistors and domino-logic of precharging circuitry, we also propose an input ordering algorithm for the efficiency in graph sizes. We conducted several experiments on various benchmark circuits and the results show that our algorithm is efficient enough to apply to functional simulation, power estimation, and fault-simulation of switch-level design.

  • A simple Time Division Multiplex(TDM) switching system which has been widely in satellite networks provides any size of bandwidth for a number of low bandwidth subscribers by allocating proper number of time slots in a frame. In this paper, we propose a new approach based on graph coloring model for efficient time slot assignment algorithm in contrast to network flow model in previous works. When the frame length of an initial matrix of time slot requests is 2's power, this matrix is divided into two matrices of time slot requests using binary divide and conquer method based on the graph coloring model. This process is continued until resulting matrices of time slot requests are of length one. While the most efficient algorithm proposed in the literature has time complexity of $O(N^{4.5})$, the time complexity of the proposed algorithm is $O(NLlog_2L)$, where N is the number of input/output links and L is the number of time slot alloted to each link in the frame.

  • Recently, the spreading business of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) remote metering systems in various regions of the country has been activated, and it provides various metering functions such as two-way communication and security plan functions for power demand management. Current AMI system is difficult to analyze based on the existing RDB(Relational Database) due to the increase in the size of new internal IoT devices and networks. This study proposes a new GDB(Graph Database) based failure analysis method that utilizes existing RDB data. It analyzes the correlation of new failure patterns through accumulated data such as internal thresholds and status values. As a result of GDB-based simulation, it was confirmed that RDB can predict to a new obstacle pattern that was difficult to analyze.
