  • It was accomplished that failure analysis not only failure numbers but also power system components every years. and these informations help power system operation considerably. power system equipment were occurred a break down by natural phenomenon and aging but it was not able to predict this failure number. But many papers and technical repots study for each equipment failure rate and reliability evaluation methods. so this paper show a failure number prediction whole power system component using Markov theory not each component failure probability. the result present a next month system failure number prediction.

  • Technical regulation of harm prevention for power line communication prescribes the technical matters to protect human and other equipment from power line communication equipment. Unified operation of technical regulation of power line communication and line facility installation is more efficient in content. This paper is to discuss the technical background of national PLC system and the direction of reforming related techinal regulations.

  • Because diesel generator excitation systems in the nuclear power generating station are included among safety related c1asses(and Class 1E), they have been supposed to apply in the nuclear power generating stations through equipment qualification by nuclear law and so on. So, they has been controlled and assured completely by quality assurance throughout the total development journey. This paper looks into the journey of development of diesel generator excitation systems in the nuclear power generating station.

  • In this paper, we present a deterioration judgment model of urban rail power equipment using driving history, the frequency and number of failures. In addition, we have developed a deterioration judgment program based on the derived failure rate. A deterioration judgment model of power equipments on metro system was designed to establish how much environmental factors, such as thermal cycling, humidity, overvoltage and partial discharge. The deterioration rate of the transformers followed the Arrhenius log life versus reciprocal Kelvin temperature (hotspot temperature) relation. The deterioration judgment program is linked to the online condition monitoring system of urban railway system. The deterioration judgment program is based on the user interface it is possible to apply immediately to the urban rail power equipment.

  • This paper suggests loss analysis and calculation methods for efficiency improvement of power conversion equipment in detail. The detailed loss analysis and calculation has been conducted for 3.3kW On-board Battery Charger considering temperature condition. The validity of the analysis and calculation method is verified by simulation model.

  • This paper presents equipment for charging and discharging with high power factor and high efficiency. This equipment is consisted of $3{\phi}$ SPWM AC/DC converter for improving input current waveform and input power factor, and bidirectional DC/DC converter for electric isolation in the DC link Part. Therefore, Input power factor and the total efficiency in the proposed system can be increased more than in the conventional phase-controlled thyristor charging-discharging System.

  • In recent years, both utilities and users have expressed their deep concerns about the quality of electric power. The harmonic is the one of power quality disturbance, it can raise a problem on the power system. In this paper, the increasing application of power electronic equipment [especially (ASDs adjustable speed drives)] on distribution systems has led to a growing concern for harmonic distortion and the resulting impacts on system equipment and operations. The purpose of this study is to calculate the quantity of harmonic voltage by varying the RECT side ASD load and to design the optimal harmonic filter for the elimination of harmonics.

A Study on the Solar Cell Charging Equipment for Hybrid Vehicle (Hybrid 자동차용 Solar Cell 충전장치에 관한 연구)

  • Hybrid car can improve fuel efficiency using a power of motor that is generated during constant-speed or deceleration driving. The motor is located between engine and transmission. But, when voltage of main battery is low, fuel efficiency is low because the voltage can't run the motor. In this situation, this study observed fuel efficiency when using solar cell for assistance power. In order to verify a fuel consumption of hybrid car equipped solar cell for assistance power, the car was tested downtown driving. As hybrid car was equipped solar cell for assistance, fuel consumption was reduced 8.35 % at running air conditioner. And, at air conditioner doesn't work, fuel consumption was reduced 6.88 %. This point of view, CO2 is expected to reduce in similar proportion.

Annual Trends of Air Pollution Emission from Construction and Agricultural Equipments (건설장비와 농기계에서 배출되는 연도별 대기오염 배출량 변화추세)

  • The annual air pollution emissions from construction and agricultural equipments were estimated from 1987 through 2000. The annual numbers and operation hours of 5 major construction equipments (Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Fork lift, Crane) and 3 major agricultural equipments (Power Tiller, Agricultural Tractor, Combine) were investigated for emission estimation. And monthly variation factors of operation hours of construction equipment were investigated too. The NO$_{x}$ emission from construction equipment have been gradually increased since 1987 to 1997, but sharply decreased as -45% in 1998 due to economic crisis in Korea. The NO$_{x}$ emission was estimated as 64,300 ton/year from construction equipment, and as 23,300 ton/year from agricultural equipment in 2000.000.

  • This paper concerns 3-D graphical modeling and simulation techniques for design and control of automated equipment for construction and facility maintenance. A case study on the use of 3-D graphics techniques for developing a power plant maintenance robot is presented. By simulating equipment operation within the 3-D geometry models of the work environment the environment design was improved. The 3-D graphical models of the equipment and the work environment were further utilized for the control of the robot from a remote distance. By presenting the real-time updated equipment configuration and the work environment to the operator, the graphical model-based equipment control system helped the operator overcome the problems associated with spatial perception. The collision between the robot and the plant structures was also avoided based the real-time analysis of the dynamically updated graphical models.
