발전용 보일러 시스템의 이상허용 및 과도상태의 유연한 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fault-Tolerant and Bumpless Switching Control for Boiler Systems in the Power Plant)

  • In this research a fault-tolerant and bumpless switching control is proposed for boiler systems used in the power plants. Firstly, three operating points are selected to control the nonlinear boiler through the full operational range, and the $H_{\infty}$ loop shaping controller and the model-based predictive controller(MBPC) are designed. To prevent the windup and bump problems which are caused by the actuator saturation and the controller switching, an anti-windup and bump less transfer technique is adopted to the $H_{\infty}$ loop shaping controller. Also the constrained gain-scheduling technique is applied to MBPC to achieve the same objective. Secondly, the fault-tolerant control technique is proposed to continue the control action without stopping the boiler operation even in case of some faults. Through various simulation studies, the performances of the proposed control techniques are demonstrated.

  • In this research a fault-tolerant and bumpless switching control is proposed for boiler systems used in the power plants. Firstly, three operating points are selected to control the nonlinear boiler through the full operational range, and the $H_{\infty}$ loop shaping controller and the model-based predictive controller(MBPC) are designed. 과열기 관군에서의 증기유량 균일 배분 연구 (A Study on the Uniform Distribution of Steam Flow in the Superheater Tube System)

  • The boiler tube failure often experienced in the superheater of a utility boiler can seriously affect the economic and safe operation of the power plant. It has been known that this failure is mainly caused by the thermal load deviation in the superheater tube system, and deeply intensified by the non-uniform distribution of steam flow rates. The nonuniform steam flow is distinctively prominent at low power load rather than at full power load. In this paper, we analyze the steam flow distribution in the superheater tube system by using one dimensional flow network model. At 30% power load, the deviation of steam flow rate is predicted to be within 0.8% of the averaged flow rate. This deviation can be reduced to 0.1% and 0.07% by assuming two cases, that is, the removal of 13th tube at each tube rows and the installation of intermediate header, respectively. The assumed two cases would be effective for the uniform steam flow distribution across 85 superheater tube rows.

  • A new thermal power plant feed-water system model, which is based on Astrom, is presented. Astrom's model has some difficulties in applying to practical systems because it is not able to measure the heat and energy transfer loss. Hence, in order to make up for these difficulties, the Gas State Equation is added to the model. Computer simulations are performed to show the validity of the new model at thermal power plant with practical boiler operating data and to verify the L.Q. controller effect on boiler drum level system.

  • 전세계의 인구 증가와 경제 발전은 지속적인 에너지 수요의 증가를 가져오고 있다. 특히, 전력부분에서는 아시아 및 아프리카, 그리고 중남미 등의 개발도상국을 중심으로 그 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있어 주요 에너지원인 석탄의 이용도 지속적으로 증가할 것으로 예측되고 있다. 그러나, 이산화탄소 및 대기오염원, 그리고 미세먼지 등의 배출 등은 석탄을 이용한 전력생산에 있어 환경친화적인 기술로의 대응방안 마련과 더불어, 고효율의 다양한 저급연료를 활용할 수 있는 발전 기술의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이에, 기술개발 및 그 상용화 시장이 점차 증대되고 있는 초초임계 순환유동층 보일러에 대한 관심이 증대하고 있다. 초초임계 순환 유동층 보일러는 중소형의 아임계의 드럼형 구조에서 벗어나 대용량화의 기본 구조인 Once Through 형태의 증기 순환 구조를 지니고 100-300 MWe의 상업용 모듈의 복제를 통해 600 MW급이 상용화 운전 중에 있으며, 향후 설계가 완성된 800 MWe의 상업화 진행이 기대되고 있다. 초초임계 순환유동층 보일러는 2017년 이후 아임계 순환유동층 보일러 설치 용량을 추월하여 표준형 모델이 될 것으로 전망되고 있어, 본 논문에서의 이의 기술적 배경과 개발 현황 그리고 시장전망 등을 통해 기술적 이해를 도모하고자 한다.

친환경 농촌마을계획을 위한 주거 에너지 이용실태 조사 분석 (An Investigation and Analysis on Actual Condition of Energy Utilizations in Farmhouse for Environmental-friendly Planning of Rural Villages)

  • Actual states of energy utilizations were investigated and analyzed on three representative rural villages in Chungcheongnam-Do. Rural residents were almost using the ondol boiler as a heating facility and oil(diesel, kerosene) and electricity(night thermal-storage power service) as a heating energy. There were a few households using briquette or firewood in a fuel hole with Korean hypocaust. Most of their cooking facilities were gas ranges using LPG. The most popular hot-water supply system was an oil boiler and the next was an electricity boiler. The amount of energy use in a rural household generally showed 20,000 to 40,000 won/month of the electric power rate, 400 to 800 liter/year of the oil and 60 to 120 kg/year of the LPG. Prompt measures should be taken to promote the spread of new and renewable energy such as solar heat, biomass and wind power, etc.

  • In this paper, a decentralized multilevel-adaptive controller for a boiler-turbine system is designed by using multiple model adaptive method. It is applied to the drum type boiler-turbine system which is simplified from Boryung T/P #1,2 model. A linearlized model is decomposed into three subsystems by means of linear transformation. Then the DMC based on such subsystem is designed and a Multiple Model Adaptive Control(MMAC) scheme is applied for the purpose of the good tracking to variable load demands of the thermal power plant. The good performance of the designed controller is shown by simulations in various conditions that have the large step and ramp change of power demamd.

  • This paper describes the improvement of thermal power plant turbine control system by analyzing nonlinear characteristics. The turbine control depends on the frequency variation and boiler condition. The nonlinearity of turbine control is the result of governor/valve properties, steam condition and boiler thermal unbalance. Nonlinear analysis is divided into two; main steam valve position - turbine output anal governor response. Of course, every analysis must be done on considering plant operating condition. In this paper, after analyzing turbine control nonlinearity by numerical method and actual results, the sensitive operating load which corresponds to frequency is proposed, on guarranteed boiler stability. This idea is implemented at Pyung Tack thermal power plant, and the practical results are showed.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy expert system is developed for fault diagnoisis of a drum-type boiler system in fossil power plants. The develped fuzzy espert system is composed of knowledge base, fuzzification module, knowledge base process module, knowledge base management module, inference module, and linguistic approximation module. The main objective of the fuzzy expert system is to check the states of the system including the drum level and detect faults such as the feedwater flow sensor fault, feedwater flow control valve fault, and water wall bube rupture. The fuzzy expert system diagnoses faults using process values, manipulated values, and knowledge base which is built via interviews and questionaries with the experts on the plant operations. Finally, the validity of the developed fuzzy expert system is shown via experiments using the digital simulator for boiler system is Seoul Power Plant Unit 4.
