다중 분류 시스템을 이용한 가전기기 식별 알고리즘 (Appliance identification algorithm using multiple classifier system)

  • Real-time energy monitoring systems is a demand-response system which is reported to be effective in saving energy up to 12%. Real-time energy monitoring system is commonly composed of smart-plugs which sense how much electrical power is consumed and IHD(In-Home Display device) which displays power consumption patterns. Even though the monitoring system is effective, users should themselves match which smart plus is connected to which appliance. In order to make the matching work to be automatic, the monitoring system need to have appliance identification algorithm, and some works have made under the name of NILM(Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring). This paper proposed an algorithm which utilizes multiple classifiers to improve accuracy of appliance identification. The algorithm proposes to understand each classifiers performance, that is, when a classifier make a result how much the result is reliable, and utilize it in choosing the final result among result candidates from many classifiers. By using the proposed algorithm this paper make 4.5% of improved accuracy with respect to using single best classifier, and 2.9% of improved accuracy with respect to other method using multiple classifiers, so called CDM(Commitee Decision Mechanism) method.

  • In recent years, it is a worldwide trend that many power utilities focus their attention to employ up-to-date communication technology to the automation of their power plants and distribution systems. Automation Systems in Korea was installed using twisted pair cable(TPC), power line carrier(PLC), coaxial cable(CA), wireless network(wireless data, TRS and PCS). Among the communication media only Satellite Communication guarantees the reliable communication in case of emergency such as a flood, a heavy snow and an earthquake. It can integrate two-way satellite systems to existent nationwide SCADA controlling points of electric power transmission & distribution system that enables real time remote monitoring and controlling automatically. This paper presents some of design efforts for the satellite communication network as the media of Automation Systems.

  • Only about 10% of selected equipment in nuclear power plants are monitored by wiring to address failures or problems caused by vibration. The purpose is primarily for preventive maintenance, not for predictive maintenance. This paper shows that vibration monitoring and diagnosis using Industrial 4.0 enables the complete predictive maintenance for all vibrating equipments in nuclear power plants with the convergence of internet of things; wireless technology, big data through periodic collection and artificial intelligence. Predictive maintenance using wireless technology is possible in all areas of nuclear power plants and in all systems, but it should satisfy regulatory guides on electromagnetic interference and cyber security.

  • As the development of total management systems for sites along with site environmental information is becoming standard, the system known as the Site Information and Total Environmental database management System (SITES) has been developed over the last two years. The first result was a database management system for storing data obtained from facilities, and a site characterization in addition to an environmental assessment of a site. The SITES database is designed to be effective and practical for use with facility management and safety assessment in relation to Geographic Information Systems. SITES is a total management program, which includes its database, its data analysis system required for site characterization, a safety assessment modeling system and an environment monitoring system. It can contribute to the institutional management of the facility and to its safety reassessment. SITES is composed of two main modules: the SITES Database module (SDM) and the Monitoring & Assessment (M&A) module [1]. The M&A module is subdivided into two sub-modules: the Safety Assessment System (SAS) and the Site Environmental Monitoring System (SEMS). SAS controls the data (input and output) from the SITES DB for the site safety assessment, whereas SEMS controls the data obtained from the records of the measuring sensors and facilities. The on-line site and environmental monitoring data is managed in SEMS. The present paper introduces the procedure and function of the M&A modules.

지능형 선박의 효울적인 전력사용을 위한 전력 관리 시스템 개발 (Development of a Power Management System for Efficient Power usage of Intelligent Ship)

  • 어떤 선박에서도 마찬가지로 적정한 전력의 공급은 매우 중요하며, 육지와 거리가 먼 대양 운항 선박에서는 특히 더욱 중요하다. 이와 같이 운항 중인 선박의 전력 공급 시스템의 효율성과 경제성 측면의 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 선박에서의 전력공급을 지능적으로 제어하는 전력관리 시스템을 제안한다. 본 설계에서의 전력관리 시스템은 부하전력 감지 시스템, 발전기 제어 시스템, 그리고 전력 모니터링 시스템으로 각각 구성된다. 부하전력 감지 시스템에서는 CT 및 PT 센서를 이용하여 전류와 전력량을 측정하며, 그리고 발전기 제어 시스템에서는 여러 가지 다양한 센서로 부터의 취합정보를 이용하여 주/부 발전기를 On/Off 하게 된다. 마지막으로 모니터링 시스템은 부하 전력 감지 시스템과 발전기 관리 시스템에서 수집된 정보를 사용자가 한눈에 알아볼 수 있게 상태 정보를 출력한다. 본 논문에서 구현된 전력관리 시스템은 실시간 실험을 통해서 설계된 바와 같이 잘 작동하는 것을 확인하였으며, 그리고 공인 인증기관으로부터 KSCIEC61892-1:2012 및 KSCIEC60950-1:2008 인증을 획득하였다.

  • This paper presents the design, development and performance of a 250kW power conditioning system(PCS) for large scale photovoltaic power plant. The PV inverter consists of a three phase IGBT stack, L-C filter, transformer and HMI unit for monitoring. To verify the performance of the PV inverter a testing facility was designed and constructed to simulate the characteristics of the solar cell and grid.

가로주행식 케미게이션 시스템의 개발 (Development of a Linear Chemigation System)

  • A linear chemigation system, integrating agrichemical appication units of pesticide and fertilizer into an irrigation system, was selected as a suitable model for the cost savings in farm management and automation. Technical designs were conducted in the areas of structure, power, drive, control, and hydraulic systems. An experimental farm was sectioned into the fields of 40m by 200m and systemized with the linear-move chemigation system of 36m in span. The chemigation system consisted of a base unit monitoring and controlling overall operation, and a driving unit traveling linearly and injecting agrichemicals. Monitoring and interlocking systems were utilized against unexpected malfunctions of power, injection and drive systems using radio freuency modems between the units. The system can be also modified to various farm sizes and stationary systems of indoor and outdoor.

  • We consider the relation between on-line monitoring and diagnostics on the one hand and high-voltage (HV) withstand and partial discharge (PD) on-site testing on the other. HV testing supplies the basic data (fingerprints) for diagnostics. In case of warnings by on-line diagnostic systems, off-line withstand and PD testing delivers the best possible information about defects and enables the classification of the risk. Frequency tuned resonant (ACRF) test systems are best adapted to on-site conditions. They can be simply combined with PD measuring equipment. The available ACRF test systems and their application to electric power equipment -from cable systems to power transformers is described.

  • 본 논문에서는 FPGA기반의 SoC보드(Xilinx Virtex-4 ML401 EVM)를 이용한 전력인버터제어시스템을 설계하였다. 선박에 전력시스템을 적용하기 위해서 선박의 최신 통신 프로토콜인 NMEA 2000 표준 프로토콜을 적용하였으며 전력 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위한 PC기반의 모니터링 프로그램을 제작하였다. 전력 제어시스템은 FPGA기반의 임베디드 SoC보드상에서 이중프로세서(Dualprocessor)형태로 설계하였으며 이중프로세서를 적용함으로써 실시간 제어 감시가 가능하다. 이중프로세서 중 하나는 전력 제어를 위한 PWM신호생성 및 전력 회로내의 주요 전력 파라미터를 센싱 하는 제어용 프로세서로 동작하며(Control processor) 다른 프로세서는 제어프로세서의 각종 전력 센서 파라미터와 제어 파라미터들을 이중포트 램(Dual Port RAM)을 이용하여 정보를 공유하고 외부 NMEA 2000프로토콜 기반의 모니터링 장치와 네트워크 기반의 통신을 수행하는 통신용 프로세서(Communication processor)로 구성된다. 본 논문에서 제작한 전력 제어시스템은 선박내의 분산발전,송배전 및 전압 레귤레이션 시스템에 적용 될 수 있다.

표면온도 알고리즘을 통한 옥상녹화통합형 태양광시스템의 출력 모니터링 연구 (A Study on Output Monitoring of Green Roof Integrated PV System through Surface Temperature Algorithm)

  • The centralized power supply system and rainwater treatment system, which are major infrastructure in modern cities, are showing their limitations in accommodating environment load due to climate changes that has aggravated recently. As a result, complex issues such as shortage of reserve power and urban flooding have emerged. As a single solution, decentralized systems such as a model integrating photovoltaic system and rooftop greening system are suggested. When these two systems are integrated and applied together, the synergy effect is expected as the rooftop greening has an effect of preventing urban flooding by controlling peak outflow and also reduces ambient temperature and thus the surface temperature of solar cells is lowered and power generation efficiency is improved. This study aims to compare and analyze the monitoring results of four algorithms that define correlations between micro-climate variables around rooftop greening and the surface temperature of solar cells and generate their significance. By doing so, this study seeks to present an effective algorithm that can estimate the surface temperature of solar cell that has direct impact on the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation by observing climate variables.
