  • This paper designs mono block type with rotating high power radiography x-ray generator and studies 16kW X-ray generator possible to adapt hospital mobile radiography and industrial X-ray equipment and design. This equipment uses rotating anode type x-ray tube at high voltage generator to generate x-ray and adds rotor operating circuit to operate rotor of x-ray tube. The size of high voltage transformer and high voltage generator is minimized by high voltage high frequency inverter has 100kHz switching frequency. Also this paper shows result of x-ray tube voltage and tube current correspond to variable load.

A Voltage Regulation System for Independent Load Operation of Stand Alone Self-Excited Induction Generators

  • In recent years, some converter structures and analyzing methods for the voltage regulation of stand-alone self-excited induction generators (SEIGs) have been introduced. However, all of them are concerned with the three-phase voltage control of three-phase SEIGs or the single-phase voltage control of single-phase SEIGs for the operation of these machines under balanced load conditions. In this paper, each phase voltage is controlled separately through separated converters, which consist of a full-bridge diode rectifier and one-IGBT. For this purpose, the principle of the electronic load controllers supported by fuzzy logic is employed in the two-different proposed converter structures. While changing single phase consumer loads that are independent from each other, the output voltages of the generator are controlled independently by three-number of separated electronic load controllers (SELCs) in two different mode operations. The aim is to obtain a rated power from the SEIG via the switching of the dump loads to be the complement of consumer load variations. The transient and steady state behaviors of the whole system are investigated by simulation studies from the point of getting the design parameters, and experiments are carried out for validation of the results. The results illustrate that the proposed SELC system is capable of coping with independent consumer load variations to keep output voltage at a desired value for each phase. It is also available for unbalanced consumer load conditions. In addition, it is concluded that the proposed converter without a filter capacitor has less harmonics on the currents.

  • This paper presents an implementation of digital control system of speed sensorless for Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with DTC. The control system consists of stator flux observer, rotor position/speed/torque estimator, two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control that inputs are current and voltage sensing of motor terminal with estimated rotor angle for wide speed range. The rotor position is estimated by observed stator flux-linkage space vector. The estimated rotor speed is determined by differentiation of the rotor position used only in the current model part of the flux observer for a low speed operating area. It does not require the knowledge of any motor parameters, nor particular care for motor starting, In order to prove the suggested control algorithm, we have a simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The developed sensorless control system is shown a good speed control response characteristic results and high performance features in 50/1000 rpm with 1.0Kw RSM having 2.57 ratio of d/q reluctance.

  • This paper presents a digital motion control system for Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with direct torque control (DTC). The system consists of stator flux observer, torque estimator: two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter(VSI), and TMS320C31 DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current, voltage and actual rotor angle for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested motion control algorithm, There are some simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The developed digitally high-performance motion control system are shown a good motion control response characteristic results and high performance features using 1.0Kw RSM.

  • 그 동안 스위칭 손실 저감을 위해 Si 다이오드를 SiC 다이오드로 대체한 인버터들이 많이 소개되었다. NPC 인버터에서도 마찬가지로 클램프 다이오드 소자를 SiC 다이오드로 대체함으로써 스위칭 손실을 저감시킬 수 있다. 하지만 IGBT의 스위칭 손실이 매우 크기 때문에 단지 클램프 다이오드 소자를 바꿈으로써 줄일 수 있는 스위칭 손실은 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 낮은 변조지수를 갖는 NPC 인버터에서 역회복 손실을 포함한 스위칭 손실을 최소화 시킬 수 있는 새로운 PWM 방법을 제시한다. 제안한 방법에 의해 역회복 현상은 거의 발생하지 않으며 스위칭 손실은 상당히 저감된다. 그러므로 전체 시스템 효율을 증가시킬 수 있고 인버터를 더 높은 스위칭 주파수에서 동작시킬 수 있다. 제안한 방법의 타당성은 각 소자의 성능평가와 수치해석적 방법을 적용해 검증하였다.

  • The output voltage of synchronous generator is regulated constantly by field current control in excitation system. Most of ship generator exciter system uses the thyristor phase controlled rectifier. However this rectifier is difficult to realize that the speed control system because its control period is slower than MOSFET and IGBT type converter. Therefore, this paper deals with PMG(Permanent Magnet Generator) type digital excitation system using MOSFET for ship synchronous generator. The organization of this excitation system is very simple. When the generator is under the short circuit accident, the output voltage becomes zero state and AVR can not operate. Thus generator requires the function for flowing output current through CBS. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated on a 10kVA experimental prototype circuit in place of real ship generator.

  • In this paper, the circuit of AC Choppers for $CO_2$ laser power supply are proposed and investigated. IGBT-controlled ac voltage regulators, operating at high frequency chopping mode. Chopping-to-supply duty ratio plays an important role in terms of laser output. Laser input energy is varied by controlling the leakage transformer used with the proposed system. This improved circuit employs a 3 electrode - type and Ring Blower. This improved circuit system has many advantages compared with the conventional SMPS such as simple design requirement, easy implementation, high reliability, low switching loss, and consequently high efficiency. As a result, the maximun output was 16W at duty-ratio of 92%, total gas mixture of $CO_2$ : $N_2$ : He = 1 : 9 : 15, total pressure of 15torr.

  • This paper presents an innovative prototype of a new conceptual electromagnetic induction-based fluid beating appliance using voltage-fed type scries capacitor-compensated load resonant high-frequency IGBT inverter with a phase-shifted PWM and a power factor correction schemes. Its operating characteristics in steady-state are illustrated including unique features and evaluated on the basis of its computer simulation and experimental results of 10kw breadboard appliance for hot water producer and superheated steamer. The promising cost effective inverter-fed boiler appliances for electromagnetic induction-heated type fluid-heating in the pipeline systems are proposed for induction-heated boiler, super heat steamer, high temperature water producer, hot gas producer and metal catalyst heating for exhaust gas cleaning in engine, which are more suitable and acceptable for industrial, chemical, and consumer energy utilization for household and business from a practical point of view.

  • 본 과제를 통해 금속 구조물 음극 방식용 고성능 스위칭 정류기를 개발하였다. 개발된 정류기 회로는 크게 두 부분, 즉 1대로 구성된 AC/DC 컨버터부와 4대로 구성된 Module Type DC/DC 컨버터부로 되어 있다. AC/DC 컨버터는 IGBT PWM Rectifier로서 입력전압의 역률을 거의 1로 제어하고 있으며 또한 DC Link 전압을 일정하게 제어하고 있다. Module Type DC/DC 컨버터는 ZCS/ZVS 스위칭 동작을 통하여 스위칭 손실 감소와 함께 고주파 동작을 가능하게 하여, 입력측과 출력측의 전기적 절연을 위한 변압기로 고주파 변압기를 사용할 수 있게 하였다. 이로 인해 시스템의 부피와 무게를 현저히 감소시켰다. 본 과제에서 개발한 방식용 정류기 기술은 다른 유사 분야에의 적용도 가능한 것으로 사료된다.

  • The important parameters deciding the fluctuation of Accumulation style surgical operation of ventriculus laser beam are smoothing capacitor, frequency and he characteristics of laser resonator. In this thesis, we control the fluctuation of medical $CO_2C$ laser in realtime by changing Duty-Ratio of IGBT and switching frequency with fixed the smoothing capacitor to improve the fluctuation of laser beam. We detect the light on laser resonator using a CdS photo sensor to improve ripple factor of laser beam and feedback fluctuated signals refined by a band pass filter into the control circuit to stabilize fluctuation actively. There is much to be desired in the realtime controlling technique of the light on Accumulation style surgical operation of ventriculus laser discharge tube in electrical signal. We propose switching control technique with microprocessor and photo sensing technique by controlling switch devices optimum operation and feedback signals detected by a photo sensor into the laser power supply in order to improve ripple factor of the $CO_2$ laser beam.
