세라믹 방열과 박막 적층 도금을 이용한 고효율 인버터 제어 회로용 퓨즈 설계 (The Design of Fuse in High Efficient Inverter Control System using Ceramic Radiant Heat and Metal Film Laminated Plating)

  • In recent years, The electronic and energy industries demand low power consumption and high efficiency, so under their demands, the white goods industries which are represented for refrigerator and air conditioner system be implemented energy-saving power suppling structure with inverter control system. As inverter control system is different from step control type, when switching system is optimizing temperature control during short period, the inrush plus current can be flown in the circuit. In despite of these characteristics, there is no fuse which can be applied to this type until now. For this reason, we suggest the method of manufacturing protector in the high efficient inverter control system using the alumina-based ceramic radiated heat characteristics and metal films laminated plating. And through the evaluating electrical characteristics, we make a possible to utilize the method when designing overall fuses.

고온 초전도 퓨즈의 한류 및 방전 특성 (Current Limiting and Discharge Characteristics of High Tc Superconductive Fuse)

  • We present the basic properties of a superconductive fuse (SF) based on YBCO/Au films. The SF consists of YBCO stripes covered with Au layers for current shunt. The fault current was limited to a designed value in less than 0.4 msec by resistance development in YBCO/Au upon quenching. This enabled the SF to transfer small fault power and the suppressed current was sustained for more than 0.5 msec while Au layer melting and arcing. The arcing time was less than 2.5 msec, that is short enough to do self-interruption. Under the source voltage of 100 $V_{rms}$, the longer the duration time of fault current was, the shorter its discharge time was. The duration time of fault current and its discharge time were reduced by increased voltages in the range of 200 - 300 $V_{rms}$. We thought that this was because the quench propagation was limited by local melting generated with higher voltage.age.

  • The COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) EPS(Electrical Power Subsystem) is derived from an enhanced Eurostar 3000 EPS which is fully autonomous operation in normal conditions or in the event of a failure and provides a high level of reconfiguration capability and flexibility. This paper introduces the COMS EPS preliminary design result. The COMS EPS consists of a battery, a solar array wing, a PSR(Power Supply Regulator), a PRU(Pyrotechnic Unit), a SADM(Solar Array Drive Mechanism) and relay and fuse brackets. This can offer a bus power capability of 3 kW. The solar array is made of a deployable wing with two panels. One type of solar cells is selected as GaAs/Ge triple junction cells. Li-ion battery is base lined with ten series cell module of five cells in parallel. PSR associated with battery and solar array generates a power bus fully regulated 50 V. Power bus is centralised protection and distribution by relay and fuse brackets. PRU provides power for firing actuators devices. The solar array wing is routed by the SADM under control of the AOCS(Attitude Orbit Control Subsystem). The control and monitoring of the EPS especially of the battery, is performed by the PSR in combination with on-board software.

  • As part of the green growth, The Green Car has attracted wide attention. Types of the Green Car are Electric Vehicle, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, Hybrid Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell Vehicle and Clean Diesel Vehicle. Of these, The electric vehicle is equipped with the BDU(Battery Disconnecting Unit). BDU is supplying stable battery power and blocking it to protect electrical system of the electric vehicle. The BDU consists of electric components such as current sensor, fuse and pre-charge resistor. These must pass Voltage withstand test, Salt mist test, Thermal shock test, Vibration test and Short-circuit test commonly to verify reliability of the electric components. In addition, The current sensor should be verified whether normal operation. The breaking capacity of fuse should be verified. The durability of pre-charge resistor should be verified by supplying battery power and blocking it repeatedly. The reliability of BDU as well as the electric vehicle is secured by verifying the reliability of electric components. In addition, It will contribute to the acceleration and promotion of Green Car Technology.

  • To improve the fault coordination of underground distribution line we study the several contents such as the magnitude of fault current in distribution line tripping time of CB by acting of over current relay with instantaneous trip and time delay trip. We also examine the melting time of current limiting fuse inside power fuse Through the research as above. we suggest the modification scheme of fault coordination to reduce the interruption times of power failure.

COS LoRa 기반의 임베디드 시스템 설계 (Embedded System Design with COS LoRa technology)

  • It is the approach of embedded system design that analyzes COS(Cut Out Switch) failure in the power distribution and an instantaneous breakdown of power distribution supply could cause the weakness of industrial competence and therefore we need to feed the stable power distribution with developing the technology of open-source embedded system. In this paper, we apply the LoRa technology which is the Internet of Things(IoT) protocol for low data rate, low power, low cost and long range sensor applications. We designed the hardware and software architecture setup and experimented the embedded system with network architecture and COS monitoring system including accelerometer for detecting the failure of distribution line and sensing the failure of its fuse holder by recognizing the variation and collision and afterwards sending the information to a gateway. With experimenting we designed the embedded platform for sensing the variation and collision according to the COS failure, monitoring its fuse holder status and transferring the information of states with LoRa technology.

  • 전기 기폭장치(EED, electroexplosive device)는 브리지 와이어, 추진제, 리드 핀 및 금속관으로 구성되었고, 기폭신호가 인가되면 브리지와이어의 발열에 의해 추진제를 점화시킨다. 또한 고출력 통신기나 레이더에서 방사되는 전자파에 의해 EED는 예기치 않은 기폭이 발생할 수 있어, EED에 대한 EMC 설계 및 시험관련 군사규격서를 제정하여 적용하고 있다. 본 논문은 항공기에 대한 전기체 EMC 시험평가를 수행할 때, 항공기에 설치 된 EED 대신에 사용할 기폭용 퓨즈의 RF 감도 특성을 기술하였다 RF 기폭수준은 전송선로 이론을 활용하여 예측하였고, 군사규격서에 규정된 DC 감도와 RE 감도를 측정하였다.

  • 본 논문은 IoT 응용분야에서 주변 사물에 대한 보정 값이나 최적 값을 저장하는 퓨즈 제어 회로를 제안하였고, 단일 핀을 사용한 직렬 통신 회로를 구현하였다. 2개 이상의 핀을 사용하는 기존 직렬 방식인 SPI 와 $I^2C$ 방식보다 단일 핀을 사용하여 간단한 하드웨어로 구현함으로써 비교적 전송 데이터가 적은 응용 분야에서 효율적으로 사용이 가능하다. 제안된 통신 프로토콜과 퓨즈 제어 회로는 논리 회로 시뮬레이션과 FPGA를 이용하여 동작을 검증하고, CMOS 공정을 이용하여 칩으로 설계하였다. 저전력과 하드웨어가 간단하고 저속의 데이터 전송용 모바일 IoT 제품에 활용이 예상된다.

  • This paper deals with the development of computer programs that can be used for fuse and relay coordination in power station and also with the characteristics of these protective devices. The coordination of protective devices is determined by caculation from the lowest voltage level back to the power source. The minimum time difference between two different characteristics on the time- current curves is determined by the Golden Section searching routine.
