가압기 전열기 슬리브 및 J-Groove 용접부의 자동 초음파검사 (Automatic Ultrasonic Inspection on Heater Sleeves and J-Groove Welds of Pressurizer)

  • In order to prevent the corrosion of component contacted primary water designed alloy 600 material in the nuclear power plant. But the primary water stress corrosion cracking(PWSCC) of alloy 600 and weld area occurs continuously due to the residual stress. The leakage accident resulted from PWSCC in the drain nozzle of the steam generator of domestic power plants. Heater sleeves of the pressurizer are welded with alloy 600 weld material and therefore exposed to the primary water environment. PWSCC occurred in heater sleeve material and weld area of many foreign power plants. The current issue of domestic nuclear power plants are consequently concentrated to PWSCC of similar material. In order to improve the detection and the sizing of the PWSCC in the welding sleeve of the pressurizer, the automatic UT system and multi-directions probe sets have been developed. The experimental studies have been performed using the mock-up block containing artificial reflectors(ID connected EDM notch) and semi-artificial cracks made from thermal fatigue. The automatic UT System is applied in the detection and the length sizing of the ID/OD on the tube and the J-groove weld area of the artificial reflectors and results of the detection and the sizing are compared respectively. Also, the developed automatic UT system is successfully accomplished to inspect the heater sleeve and the J-groove weld area on the pressurizer for the detection of PWSCC.

시간에 따라 변하는 수신단 부하 임피던스의 실시간 검출을 통한 무선 전력 전송시스템의 성능 개선 (Performance Improvement Using Real-Time Detection of Time-Variant Load Impedance of the Receiver in Wireless Power Transfer System)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 전력 전송 시스템에서 시간에 따라 변하는 반사 임피던스(reflected impedance)가 시스템에 주는 영향을 분석하고, 그 검출 방법을 제안하였다. 반사 임피던스는 송신기와 결합하는 수신기가 어떠한 특성을 가지는지를 나타내는 중요한 지표가 되며, 전송 효율에 큰 영향을 주게 된다. 반사 임피던스를 검출하기 위해서 주파수에 따른 송신기에 흐르는 전류의 변화를 분석하는 검출 방법을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 설계 방법에 따라 LF 대역에서 동작하는 무선 송/수신시스템을 설계하고, 수신기의 반사 임피던스의 변화를 검출하였다. 측정 결과, 제안한 검출 방법이 반사 임피던스를 정확하게 측정할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 실제 배터리에 적용하여 absorption mode에서 시간에 따라 증가하는 부하 임피던스로 인한 효율 감소를 보정할 수 있음을 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 또한, 금속 인식 시스템도 구현하여 제안한 측정법의 유용성을 확인하였다.

개선된 DFT을 이용한 무효전력변동 단독운전 검출기법의 성능 개선 (Performance Improvement of an Anti-Islanding Algorithm using the Variation of Reactive Power with an Improved DFT Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 무효전력변동기법을 사용하여 단독운전을 검출을 하기 위해서 선행되어야 하는 주파수 검출 방법 중에서 개선된 이산푸리에변환(Discrete Fourier Transform; DFT), 즉 Goertzel 알고리즘을 이용한 단독운전 검출기법을 제안한다. 실제 태양광 발전 시스템의 설치를 위해서는 전기사고나 시스템에 악영향을 유발하는 단독운전 검출기법의 연구가 선행되어야 한다. 적용하는 주파수 검출방법은 Goertzel 알고리즘을 이용한 기법으로 기존의 영점검출기법과 가상의 2상 PLL(Phase Locked Loop)에 비하여 외란의 영향에 강인하며 빠른 검출이 가능하다. 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 기존의 주파수검출기법인 영점검출기법과 가상의 2상 PLL을 이용한 주파수 검출과 제안하는 알고리즘을 비교하고 그의 우수성을 검증하였다.

전압의 주파수 편의를 이용한 동기탈조 검출 알고리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Out-of-Step Detection Algorithm using Frequency Deviation of the Voltage)

  • The protection against transient instability and consequent out-of-step condition is a major concern for the utility industry. Unstable system may cause serious damage to system elements such as generators and transmission lines. Therefore, out-of-step detection is essential to operate a system safely. The detection of out-of-step is generally based upon the rate of movement of the apparent impedance. However such relay monitors only the apparent impedance which may not be sufficient to correctly detect all forms of out-of-step and cannot cope with out-of-step for a more complex type of instability such as very fast power swing. This paper presents the out-of-step detection algorithm using voltage frequency deviation. The digital filters based on discrete Fourier transforms (DFT) to calculate the frequency of a sinusoid voltage are used, and the generator angle is estimated using the deviation of the calculated frequency component of the voltage. The proposed out-of-step algorithm is based on the assessment of a transient stability using equal area criterion. The proposed out-of-step algorithm is verified and tested by using EMTP MODELS.

웨이블렛 변환을 이용한 태양광 발전시스템의 고장진단에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fault Detection Technique of the Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System using Wavelet Transformation)

  • 본 논문에서는 웨이블렛(Wavelet) 변환을 이용한 태양광 발전시스템의 고장진단에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 기존에는 추가적인 하드웨어와 센서를 사용하여 인버터의 고장을 진단하는 방법으로, 단가가 상승하고 사양이 바뀔 경우 재설계를 해야 하는 문제점이 있었다. 제안된 방식은 인버터 전류나 전압과 같은 상태변수들을 다단계 변환을 통해 얻어낸 웨이블렛 계수들의 변화를 감지하여 고장의 종류와 부위를 인식하는 방법이다. 정규화 표준 편차를 이용하여 웨이블렛 계수의 변화로부터 정확하고 신속한 고장 진단이 가능하다. 이 방법은 간단한 계산과 고장 유형을 정확하게 예측할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 제어기 제작을 통한 실험 결과로서 연구의 타당성을 입증하였다.

Algorithm for Improving the Computing Power of Next Generation Wireless Receivers

  • Next generation wireless receivers demand low computational complexity algorithms with high computing power in order to perform fast signal detections and error estimations. Several signal detection and estimation algorithms have been proposed for next generation wireless receivers which are primarily designed to provide reasonable performance in terms of signal to noise ratio (SNR) and bit error rate (BER). However, none of them have been chosen for direct implementation as they offer high computational complexity with relatively lower computing power. This paper presents a low-complexity power-efficient algorithm that improves the computing power and provides relatively faster signal detection for next generation wireless multiuser receivers. Measurement results of the proposed algorithm are provided and the overall system performance is indicated by BER and the computational complexity. Finally, in order to verify the low-complexity of the proposed algorithm we also present a formal mathematical proof.

  • The recent growth in the use of impactive and nonlinear loads, electronic, and medical devices sensitive to power quality has caused many power quality problems and power supply-and-demand problem. Recently, in power system not only the reliability of the power supply but also the DVR(Dynamic Voltage Restorer), UPS, and APF are being studied more and more. Hence, in this paper, Voltage sag detection algorithm for voltage sag corrector is proposed. Also, simple circuit for the experimental voltage sag is Introduced.

  • Nowadays, Intelligent Electronic Devices(IED) are widely used in power system. In order to improve the selectivity, sensitivity, and reliability of the power system composed by IEDs, A new fault tolerant IED system based on agent technique is presented in this paper. in the presented system, different with existing IED systems, the redundancies are drawn out from IED devices, and compose a standby backup system. And those redundancies are not specified to a particular type of IEDs. By using the agent technique, redundancies can download agents to modify their functions to fit different types of IEDs. As a conclusion, the reliability of the presented system is estimated in this paper.

고속 영구자석 동기전동기 구동장치의 홀센서 고장검출 및 보호제어 (Hall Sensor Fault Detection and Fault-Tolerant Control of High-Speed PMSM Drive System)

  • This paper presents a novel hall sensor fault detection and fault-tolerant control method for a high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system. A phase locked loop (PLL) type position estimator is used with a conventional interpolation based rotor position estimator to reduce position errors due to misalignment of hall sensors. The expected trigger time of hall sensor's output is used for detecting hall sensor fault condition and the PLL type position estimator is reconfigured for fault-tolerant control at the hall sensor fault condition. The proposed method can minimize current ripples during the transition from sensored control using hall sensors to sensorless control. Experimental results have been proposed to prove the validity of the proposed method.
