무전해 도금법을 이용한 전자소재용 은-구리 복합분말의 제조 (Synthesis of Ag-Cu Composite Powders for Electronic Materials by Electroless Plating Method)

  • Silver coated copper composite powders were prepared by electroless plating method by controlling the activation and deposition process variables such as feeding rate of silver ions solution, concentration of reductant and molar ratio of activation solution $(NH_4OH/(NH_4)_2SO_4)$ at room temperature. The characteristics of the product were verified by using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic absorption (A.A.). It is noted that completely cleansing the copper oxide layers and protecting the copper particles surface from hydrolysis were important to obtain high quality Ag-Cu composite powders. The optimum conditions of Ag-Cu composite powder synthesis were $NH_4OH/(NH_4)_2SO_4$ molar ratio 4, concentration of reductant 15g/l and feeding rate of silver ions solution 2 ml/min.

Effect of dietary Achyranthes japonica extract on growth performance of growing pigs and absorption rate of quercetin in blood

  • This study was done to investigate the effects of the incorporation of Achyranthes japonica extracts (AJE) in diet on the production parameters of growing pigs. Exp 1: Total, 105 crossbred pigs (average body weight: 24.47 ± 2.46 kg) were used in a 6-week feeding trial. Pigs (seven replicates, five pigs per pen) were allotted randomly to three treatments. Dietary treatments: CON (basal diet); basal diet with 0.025% AJE, and basal diet + 0.050% AJE). Growth performance, nutrient digestibility, fecal microbial count, and fecal noxious gas were assessed in this study. Average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI), and gain to feed ratio (G:F) were not affected by the addition of up to 0.05% AJE. In the case of apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD), dry matter (DM), nitrogen (N), and digestible energy (DE) were not changed in 3rd and 6th weeks of the feeding trial through the addition of AJE up to 0.05% in the growing pig diet. In microbial count, Lactobacillus and Escherichia coli count at 3rd and 6th week was similar in all the treatment diets. The inclusion of AJE at levels up to 0.05% in growing pig diet had no effect on the production of NH3, H2S, acetic acid, and CO2 in the feces. After ending the Exp 1, a total of nine pigs were divided into three treatment groups. Treatment diets were included, TRT1, basal diet + powder quercetin 30 g; TRT2, basal diet + powder quercetin 150 g; TRT3, basal diet + powder quercetin 300g. Rate of absorption in blood was increased with the higher dose of quercetin. The results suggested incorporation of AJE up to 0.05% has no significant effect on ADG, ADFI, and G:F, as well as DM, N, and DE digestibility, fecal microbial count, and fecal noxious gas emission in growing pigs, even though no negative effect was found.

난각칼슘에 관한 연구 (II) - 난각칼슘의 흡수율에 관한 연구 - (Studies of Egg-Shell Calcium (II) -A Study on Absorption Rate of Egg-Shell Calcium in Rat-)

  • 난각칼슘을 식초에 침지하여 제조한 양조칼슘, 현미칼슘과 난각칼슘분 및 침강성탄산칼슘을 흰쥐에 식이 후 칼슘의 혈청 중 보유량(흡수율)에 관하여 비교시험 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 이온화율이 높은 양조칼슘(밀폐,통기)과 현미칼슘의 흡수는 경구투여 2시간 후에 최고치에 이른 것으로 나타났으며 이온화율이 낮은 난각칼슘분이나 침강성탄산칼슘은 이보다 늦은 5시간 후에 최고치에 이른 것으로 나타났다. 이는 이온화율이 높은 칼슘일 수록 흡수가 빠르게 진행되는 것으로 사료된다. 2. 흰쥐에 식이한 칼슘시료의 칼슘의 혈청 중 보유량은 현미칼슘>양조칼슘(밀폐)>양조칼슘(통기)>침강성탄산칼슘>난각칼슘분 순으로 낮게 나타났다. 이는 이온화율의 순과 같았다. 3. 현미칼슘의 혈청중 칼슘농도가 난각칼슘분에 비하여 약 4배 높은 것으로 나타난 것으로 보아 칼슘의 혈청 중 보유량은 칼슘 섭취수준에 의한 영향보다 칼슘 이온화율과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 사료된다. 4. 제조 조건에 따른 양조칼슘의 혈청 중 보유량은 밀폐조건이 통기조건에 비해 약 1.4배 높은 것으로 나타난 이유를 규명하기 위해서는 연구가 계속 진행되야 할 것으로 본다.

  • Ultra-fine copper powders with particle size about 150 nm were synthesized from copper hydroxide slurry by wet method using hydrazine as reduction agent and several sur factants at below $80^{\circ}C$. The particle size distribution and dispersion of synthesized powders as function of temperature, feeding rate of reduction and especially, sur factants were character ized by XRD, BET, PSA and SEM by this process.

식사에 첨가된 인삼분의 수준이 백서의 성장 및 체성분함량에 미치는 영향 -혈당을 중심으로- (Effect of the Level of Ginseng Powder in Diet on Growth Rate and Blood Glucose Concentration in Rat)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of the diet supplemented with various amounts of ginseng powder on the growth rate and blood glucose level in rat. Male Albino rats, weighing between 90 to 100g, were divided into 5 diet groups of 6 rats each. experimental diets contained 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8% ginseng powder which was substituted for rice powder and were designated C, G-2, G-4, G-6 and G-8, respectively. The diets were fed for 3 weeks. Throughout feeding period, feed consumption, body weight, feed and protein efficiency ratios were measured, organ weights and blood glucose level were determined at the end of the experimental period. the results are summarized as follows. 1. rats in G-2 group consumed the highest amount of diet among all groups. 2. Body weight gain was significantly higher in G-2 and G-4 than in other groups. 3. Feed and protein efficiency ratios were a little higher in G-4 than in control group. And those of group G-8 were the lowest among those of other groups. 4. The weight of liver was significantly lower I G-4 than in control group. The weight of kidney was significantly lower I G-4 and G-8 than in control group. The weight of heart was significantly lower I G-4 and G-8 than in control group. While, the weight of spleen was greater in ginseng powder diet than in control group. 5. Supplementing ginseng powder in diet resulted in deceased nitrogen in liver. 6. Blood glucose was decreased with increased level of ginseng powder diet.

난각 칼슘의 생체 이용성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Calcium Bioavailability of Eggshell Powder in the Growing Rats)

  • This study has investigated the bioavailability of calcium in eggshell powder (ESP) for the purpose of reutilizing eggshells as the calcium source. The experiment was designed 2 ${\times}$ 2 factorial method with two sources, CaCO$_3$ and ESP, and two levels, 0.2% and 0.4% calcium. Weanling SD rats were assigned randomly to one of 4 groups and provided by one of the isocaloric, 20% casein based 4 different experimental diets for 4weeks. Deionized water was given and environment was kept from any contamination of minerals. The body weight, diet intake, feed efficiency ratio (FER), bone growth, Ca contents of bones, and apparent absorption were measured. FER (0.38 - 0.40) and kidney weight were not different among groups and the weight and length, Ca content, strength of two bones Tibia and Femur were not affected by Ca sources except Femur Ca content. Ca content of Femur was greater in ESP groups than that of CaCO$_3$ groups. The body weight gain, bone growth, the Ca contents and strength of bones were significantly greater in 0.4% calcium groups suggesting 0.2% calcium is not sufficient for the optimum growth in the growing rats. These results indicate that ESP be a proper Ca source comparable or superior to CaCO$_3$. However the apparent absorption rate of final 3 days of feeding did not support the observed results showing lower rate in ESP than CaCO$_3$ groups. Further study be needed in the absorption aspect.

  • The $CO_2$ laser cladding was conducted on an AC2B alloy with feeding Fe-based powders. A powder feeding rate (PFR) and a travel velocity were related with the cracks adjacent to the Fe/Al interface. Preheating temperature was varied to study the interface crack. Preheating to $250^{\circ}C$ during the laser cladding suppressed the interface crack ratio (ICR). The ICR was limited for the single pass clad and the reciprocating test for the slide wear was conducted on an overlay cladding experiment. Comparing with no overlap overlay, the overlay clad with 50% overlap showed better wear resistance.

Azelaic Acid 함유 밀크 나노분말과 여드름 나노화장품을 위한 나노캡슐의 최적화 공정 (Optimization of Nanoencapsulation Process for Azelaic Acid-Milk Nano Powder and Acne Nanocosmetics)

  • 여드름 나노화장품(nanocosmetics) 개발을 위하여 azelaic acid-milk nano powder의 nanoencapsulation을 fluid-bed processor로 중심합성계획에 따라 유입공기온도($60{\sim}80^{\circ}C$) 분무속도(0.5 ~ 0.9 mL/min) 및 분무압력(1.2 ~ 2.0 kg/$cm^2$)을 달리하여 나노캡슐(nanoencapsule)을 제조하고, 나노캡슐의 품질특성을 조사하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 나노캡슐의 예측된 수율의 최대값은 70.97 %로 수율은 유입공기온도, 분무속도 및 분무압력 에 의해 크게 영향을 받고 있었다. 시료의 입자크기는 유입공기온도가 높고 분무속도가 빠르며, 분무압력이 낮을수록 커지는 것으로 나타났고, 생리식염수에서 나노캡슐의 용출율은 모두 유입공기온도 및 분무속도에 의해서 가장 많은 영향을 받고 있었다. 수분함량은 분무 속도가 증가하고 분무압력이 높아질수록 증가하였고, 수분활성도는 수분함량과 유사한 경향을 나타내었다. 기계적 색도인 L값과 b값은 유입공기온도가 높아질수록 증가하였다. 수율이 높고 입자크기가 작으며, 피부적합성 나노캡슐 제조의 최적조건은 유입공기온도 $67{\sim}73^{\circ}C$, 분무속도 0.6 ~ 0.8 mL/min 및 분무압력 1.8 ~ 2.0 kg/$cm^2$ 범위로 예측되었다. 이상의 예측범위 내의 임의의 점에서실제 실험한 실험치는 반응표면분석법에 의해 예측된 값과 유사한 경향을 보여 도출된 회귀식의 신뢰성을 검증할 수 있었다.

쑥가루 첨가급식(添加給食)에 의(依)한 백서(白鼠)의 영양효과(營養效果)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Nutritional Effects in Rats by Feeding Basal Diet Supplemented with Mugwort Powder)

  • This study was designed to observe the nutritional effects of mugwort powder in albino rats. Forty eight young male albino rats, Sprague-Dawley strain, body weight of $80{\pm}3g$ were employed in the study. They were fed on the basal diets supplemented with 0,2,4,6, and 10% mugwort powder for 4 weeks respectively. The amounts of food and protein intake in animal groups of 4 to 8% mugwder supplemented were higher than that of control group. The efficiencies of food and protein in animal groups of mugwort powder supplemented were lower than that of nonsupplemented group. The animal group of 4% mugwort powder supplemented group was highest in energy intake among of other groups. The growing rate of animal groups of 2-6% mugwort powder supplemented groups were similar to that of the control group where as 8% or more of mugwort powder supplemented groups were below than the control group. The contents of hemoglobin and hematocrit were no remarkable difference among of the all groups. The levels of blood sugar in the groups of 8% and 10% mugwort powder supplemented were significantly higher than that of the control group, but their A/G ratio of the serum protein were significantly lower than that of the control group instead.

PTA법에 의한 Al 합금표면의 Si 합금층 형성과 내마모성 개선 (Improvement of Wear Resistance and Formation of Si Alloyed Layer on Aluminum Alloy by PTA Process)

  • The formation of thick alloyed layer with high Si content have been investigated on the surface of Al alloy (A5083) plate by PTA process with Si powder. Hardening characteristics and wear resistance of alloyed layer was examined in relation to the microstructure of alloyed layer. Thick hardened layer in mm-order thickness on the surface of A5083 plate can be formed by PTA process with wide range of process condition by using Si powder as alloying element because of eutectic reaction of Al-Si binary alloy. High temperature and rapid solidification rate of molten pool, which are features of PTA process, enable the formation of high Si content alloyed layer with uniform distribution of fine primary Si paticle. High plasma arc current was beneficial to make the alloyed layer with smooth surface appearance in wide range of powder feeding rate, because enough volume of molten pool was necessary make alloyed layer. Uniform dispersion of fine primary Si particle with about 30${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in particle size can be obtained in layer with Si content ranging from 30 to 50 mass %. Hardness of alloyed layer increased with increasing Si content, but increasing rate of hardness differed with macrostructure of alloyed layer. Wear resistance of alloyed layer depended on $V_{si}$(volume fraction of primary Si) and was remarkably improved to two times of base metal at 20-30% $V_{si}$ without cracking, but no more improvement was obtained at larger $V_{si}$.
