SBR is one of the most general sewage/wastewater treatment processes and, particularly, has an advantage in high concentration wastewater treatment like sewage wastewater. A Kernel PCA based fault diagnosis system for biological reaction in full-scale wastewater treatment plant was proposed using only common bio-chemical sensors such as ORP(Oxidation-Reduction Potential) and DO(Dissolved Oxygen). During the SBR operation, the operation status could be divided into normal status and abnormal status such as controller malfunction, influent disturbance and instrumental trouble. For the classification and diagnosis of these statuses, a series of preprocessing, dimension reduction using PCA, LDA, K-PCA and feature reduction was performed. Also, the diagnosis result using differential data was superior to that of raw data, and the fusion data show better results than other data. Also, the results of combination of K-PCA and LDA were better than those of LDA or (PCA+LDA). Finally, the fault recognition rate in case of using only ORP or DO was around maximum 97.03% and the fusion method showed better result of maximum 98.02%.
This study aimed to develop unique, local "food tourism" products by finding specialized items that combine tourist attractions, such as folklore or hot springs. Traditional ingredients were analyzed with ancient texts for the methods of research. A brand image was made possible utilizing hot spring lore and other regional stories. The tofu products were produced using local specialty beans. Products, such as tofu residue cake and willow bean tea, were made with the tofu residue. After the products were completed, the sensory test began at the local tourist attraction. Asan City's food tourism product willow tofu was made with beans that were given as compensation for building the Onyang temporary palace according to the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty and the willow tree that appears in Sunshin Lee's anecdotes. After the preference test between normal tofu and willow-extract tofu was conducted to measure the product potential of willow tofu, among the sample extracts, 0.04% of the willow extract showed a significant preference. The hot spring tofu-residue cake was baked using tofu residue and vegetable olive oil to substitute for animal oil, such as butter, or margarine. After the sensory test targeting the adults was conducted, both products displayed significant product potential with average scores above 5.0. Willow tree bark, which has antioxidation and anti-inflammatory effects without a bitter taste or strong smell, was proven to bean appropriate ingredient for leached tea. The nutty flavor of leached tea was enhanced by roasted green kernel black beans and willow tree bark. The sensory test showed that the leached tea and tofu received a high preference rating on both color and flavor.
Sixteen domestic barley varieties and subsequently produced malts were evaluated for quality characteristics. Diastatic power(DP), complementary actions of amylases in malt, had a wide $variation(139{\sim}220^{\circ}L)$ among the barley varieties. Some 6-row barley varieties demonstrated significantly high DP values. ${\beta}-\;and\;{\alpha}-amylase$ activities in malts were also significantly influenced by barley varieties. Diastatic power was highly correlated with ${\beta}-amylase$ activity, indicating that the ${\beta}-amylase$ activity was a predominant factor determining saccharifying action in malt. Amylograph was used to indirectly estimate starch-degrading enzymatic activity, and the reduction in amylograph viscosity was associated with ${\alpha}-amylase$ activity. Barley quality factors in relation to enzymatic activity of malt were analyzed, and the barley variety with lower kernel weight and less plumper kernels tended to produce higher starch-degrading enzyme activity. Potential diastatic power, an estimate of bound ${\beta}-amylase$ in raw barley, was associated with diastatic power in the final malt. Potential diastatic power turned out to be an important factor for predicting good malting barley.
Oil palm frond (OPF) is a new non-conventional fibrous feed for ruminants. Evaluation on the nutritive values and digestibility of OPF was carried out using goats. In a completely randomised design, 20 local male goats were assigned to evaluate fresh and different types of processed OPF. A 60 day feeding trial was done to determine the digestible nutrient intake of fresh, ensiled and pelleted OPF and its response on live weight gain of goat. The pelleting of OPF increased (p<0.05) intake compared to fresh or ensiled OPF. The OPF based mixed pellet (50% OPF with 15% palm kernel cake, 6% rice bran, 6% soybean hull, 15% molasses, 2% fishmeal, 4% urea, 1.5% mineral mixture and 0.5% common salt) increased (p<0.05) nutrient intake, digestibility and reduced feed refusals. The mixed pellet also increased digestible dry matter intake (DDMI) and digestible organic matter intake (DOMI) at 80% and 63% level respectively than the fresh OPF. The increased digestible nutrient intake on the OPF based mixed pellet, resulted in increased live weight gain of goats. Furthermore, OPF has a good potential as a roughage source when it is used with concentrate supplement. OPF based formulated feed in a pelleted form could be used as a complete feed for intensive production of goat and other ruminants.
Google Android framework consists of an operating system and software platform for mobile devices. Using a general-purpose Linux operating system in mobile device has some advantages but also security risks. Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) is a kernel-based protection approach which can help to reduce potential damage from successful attacks. However, there are some challenges to integrate SELinux in Android. In this research, we do a study on how to do the integration and find out four challenges. The first one is that the Android file system (yaff2) does not support security namespace for extended attribute (xattr) which is required by SELinux. The second one is that it's difficult to apply SELinux policy to Dalvik process on which an Android application runs on. The third one is that Android lacks methods, tools and libraries to interact with SELinux. The last one is how to update the SELinux policy automatically when installing or removing an application. In this paper, we propose solutions for the above limitations that make the SELinux more adaptive and suitable for Android framework.

Due to miniaturization of electronic devices and development of IoT(Internet of Things), embedded system have been used in various field. Meanwhile, there is a potential vulnerability by the insufficient of system's security. In this paper, we implement secure boot using TPM to protect the integrity of embedded system environment. The Suggestion considers the required availability in the embedded system and detects the system's tampering at secure boot process via TPM. In addition, we have reinforced the confidentiality through AES encryption of the kernel at secure boot.

Yield and grade are the key factors that affect production value of peanut. The objective of this study was to identify QTLs for pod yield, hundred-seed weight, and total sound mature kernel (TSMK). A total of 90 recombinant inbred lines, derived from Tamrun OL07 and a breeding line Tx964117, were used as a mapping population and planted in Brownfield and Stephenville, Texas. A genetic map was developed using 1,211 SNP markers based on double digest restriction-site associated DNA sequencing (ddRAD-seq). A total of 10 QTLs were identified above the permutation threshold, three for yield, three for hundred-seed weight and four for TSMK, with LOD score values of 3.7 - 6.9 and phenotypic variance explained of 12.2% - 35.9%. Among those, there were several QTLs that were detected in more than one field experiment. The commonly detected QTLs in this study may be used as potential targets for future breeding program to incorporate yield and grade related traits through molecular breeding.
This study aimed to predict the distribution density and potential habitat of domestic cats (Felis catus) in order to identify core distribution areas. It also aimed to overlay protected areas to identify priority areas for cat management. Kernel density estimation was used to determine the distribution density, and areas with high density were classified in Greater Seoul, Chungnam, Daejeon, and Daegu. Elevation, distance from the used area and roughness were identified as important variables in predicting potential habitat using the MaxEnt model. In addition, the classification of suitable and unsuitable areas based on thresholds showed that the predicted presence of habitat was more extensive in Seoul, Sejong, Daejeon, Chungnam, and Daegu. Core distribution areas were selected by overlapping high-density areas with suitable areas. Priority management areas were identified by overlaying core distribution areas with designated wildlife sanctuaries. As a result, Gyeonggi, and Chungnam have the largest areas. In addition, buffer zones will be implemented to effectively manage the core distribution area and minimize the potential for additional introductions in areas of high management priority, such as protected areas. These results can be used as a basis for investigating the status of the cat's habitat and developing more effective management strategies.

A new, improved maize varieties are greatly needed to meet the national demand for the maize, and a new germplasm should be investigated to supply necessary breeding materials for the required maize breeding. The Korean local maize lines, which has never been wholly studied for the purpose of breeding should be enough to supply such breeding materials at least in Korea. The objectives of this study were to maintain useful Korean local lines, to investigate good plant characters and to analyze the Korean local maize lines in the respect of genetic make-up. A total of 820 lines and 200 lines were used for the present study. Lines to maintain were planted at experimental farm of the Crop Experiment Station, Office of Rural Development, Suwon and the lines to study genetic make-up were planted in Dae-jon. The summarized results are as follows : 1. A total of 1200 lines from 820 collections were sibbed for future use. 2. Two hundred collection were sibbed, selfed and testcrossed for genetic study in 1980. 3. Ten lines were surely confirmed as resistant lines to virus disease epidemic in most introduced maize varieties. 4. A dozen Lines were having three to four ears per plant. 5. Five lines were showing three to four tillers per plant. 6. One of the most significant and important finding through the study was to obtain the lines with three to four tillers bearing all together eight to nine ears. The lines of multi-ears and multi-tillers must have great breeding potential for the future use. 7. A great variation was observed in the tasselling days, 100 kernel weight and protein content. 8. From the genetic study of local maize lines for plant height and 100 kernel weight, the following findings were obtained. a. On the average six percent of inbreeding depression expressed in percent decrease over sibbed counterpart were found for the plant height. b. Fourty percent of heterosis expressed in percent increase over sibbed counterpart were observed in the plant height. c. The homogeneity or degree of homozygosity calculated from heterosis minus inbreeding depression was on the average 34 percent for plant height. d. The average inbreeding depression expressed in percent decrease over sibbed counterpart was 15 percent for 100 kernel weight. e. The average heterosis expressed in percent increase over sibbed counterpart was 43 percent for 100 kernel weight. f. The degree of homozygosity calculated from the heterosis minus inbreeding depression was 28 percent for 100 kernel weight.
Domestic cats (Felis catus) introduced to insular environments can be invasive predators that often threaten endemic species and cause biodiversity loss or local extinction on the island. This study was conducted from March to July 2018 to understand the population size, home range, and spatial use of cats introduced to Mara Islet (N 33° 07', E 126° 16') in Jeju Special Governing Province, the Republic of Korea. Observation records based on their natural marks revealed that there were 20 adult cats on Mara Islet. A capture-recapture method also estimated 20 adult individuals (95% confidence interval: 20-24 individuals). According to our telemetry study on ten adults deployed with GPS-based telemetry units, the home range size was 12.05±6.99 ha (95% KDE: kernel density estimation), and the core habitat size was 1.60±0.77 ha (50% KDE). There were no significant differences in the home range and core habitat sizes by sex. The home range of domestic cats overlapped with the human residential area, where they might secure easy foods. Five of ten tracked cats were active at potential breeding colonies for the Crested Murrlet (Synthliboramphus wumizusume), and six approached potential breeding areas of the Styan's Grasshopper Warbler (Locustella pleskei), suggesting the predation risk of the two endangered species by cats. This study provides novel information on the population size and home range of introduced cats on Mara Islet which is an important stopover site of migratory birds as well as a breeding habitat of the two endangered avian species. Reducing the potential negative impacts of the introduced cats on migratory birds and the endangered species on Mara Islet requires monitoring of the predation rate of birds by cats, the population trends of cats and endangered breeding birds as well as the effective cat population control and management.
