Multi-Cattle Tracking Algorithm with Enhanced Trajectory Estimation in Precision Livestock Farms

  • In precision cattle farm, reliably tracking the identity of each cattle is necessary. Effective tracking of cattle within farm environments presents a unique challenge, particularly with the need to minimize the occurrence of excessive tracking trajectories. To address this, we introduce a trajectory playback decision tree algorithm that reevaluates and cleans tracking results based on spatio-temporal relationships among trajectories. This approach considers trajectory as metadata, resulting in more realistic and accurate tracking outcomes. This algorithm showcases its robustness and capability through extensive comparisons with popular tracking models, consistently demonstrating the promotion of performance across various evaluation metrics that is HOTA, AssA, and IDF1 achieve 68.81%, 79.31%, and 84.81%.

Reverberation suppression algorithm for continuous-wave active sonar system based on overlapping nonnegative matrix factorization (중첩 비음수 행렬 분해 기법에 기반한 지속파 능동 소나의 잔향 신호 제거 기법)

  • In this paper, a post-processing algorithm to suppress reverberation for continuous-wave active sonar system is developed. The developed algorithm is designed for a low-doppler environment where the target echo is not distinguishable from the reverberation. The algorithm is developed based on overlapping nonnegative matrix factorization method. The algorithm analyzes the frequency characteristics of transmitting ping signal, then suppresses the reverberation using time-frequency characteristics of the received signal. Simulations performed in order to evaluate the proposed algorithm, and the results show that the proposed algorithm makes 6 dB signal-to-reverberation ratio enhancement in various reverberation energy conditions.

  • In this paper, a matching method is proposed to improve the correct matching rate in stereo correspondence matching in which the fingerprint of zero-crossing points on the scale-space is used as the robust matching feature. The dynamic programming, which is appropriate for the fingerprint feature, is introduced for correspondence matching. We also improve the matching rate by using the post-processing for correcting mismatched points. In simulation, we apply the proposed algorithm to the synthetic and real images and obtain good matching results.

  • 연속적인 음성 인식 결과는 띄어쓰기를 하지 않은 연속 음절 문장들로 이루어져 있다. 본 논문은 음성 인식 후처리 단계에서 연속 음절 문장을 조사/어미 사전을 이용한 어절 생성 과정과 형태소 분석기를 이용하여 어절을 생성한 후 키워드를 추출한다. 실험 결과, 어절 생성기만 적용한 방식보다 제안된 알고리즘의 인식률이 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 음성신호의 특징적인 성분인 피치를 검출하는 알고리즘 중 실시산 구현이 손쉬운 3단계를 클리핑 알고리즘을 PC상에서의 처리를 위하여 구현하였다. 이 알고리즘을 통하여 검출되는 피치의 안정성 및 정확성을 높이기 위해서 적용된 창함수, LPF, 클리핑 자기상관값계산, 비선형 감쇄, 등의 전처리 필터링과, 배수피치 검출 및 정정, 메디언 필터링을 사용하여 피치를 검출하였다. 또한 이 알고리즘을 이용하여 DSP의 도움을 얻지 않고 PC상에서 음성을 분석하여 스펙트로그램, 파형, 에너지, 피치 등을 출력하는 프로그램인 Visual Analysis Tool for sounds(VAT)의 출력화면을 통하여 피치검출을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, we aimed to develop associative pattern recognizer based on neural network for aircraft identification. For obtaining invariant feature space description of an object regardless of its scale change and rotation, Log-polar sampling technique recently developed partly due to its similarity to the human visual system was introduced with Fourier transform post-processing. In addition to the recognition results, image recall was associatively performed and also used for the visualization of the recognition reliability. The multilayer perceptron model was learned by backpropagation algorithm.

  • The symplified segmentation method was proposed for hardware implementation based on the human visual system. The segmentation method using fuzzy logic and just noticeable difference(JND) is composed of pre-filtering, initial segmentation and post processing. Experimental coding results show that reconstructed image using the proposed method is good on visual percerption even at a high compression ratio of 30:1.

  • In this paper, we carried out recognition experiments for noisy speech having various levels of car noise and output of an audio system using the speech interface. The speech interface consists of three parts: pre-processing, acoustic echo canceller, post-processing. First, a high pass filter is employed as a pre-processing part to remove some engine noises. Then, an echo canceller implemented by using an FIR-type filter with an NLMS adaptive algorithm is used to remove the music or speech coming from the audio system in a car. As a last part, the MMSE-STSA based speech enhancement method is applied to the out of the echo canceller to remove the residual noise further. For recognition experiments, we generated test signals by adding music to the car noisy speech from Aurora 2 database. The HTK-based continuous HMM system is constructed for a recognition system. Experimental results show that the proposed speech interface is very promising for robust speech recognition in a noisy car environment.

  • This paper proposes an optimized hardware implementation method for existing CIE1931 color gamut control algorithm. Among the post-processing methods of dehazing algorithms, existing algorithm with relatively low computations have the disadvantage of consuming many hardware resources by calculating large bits using Split multiplier in the computation process. The proposed algorithm achieves computational reduction and hardware miniaturization by reducing the predefined two matrix multiplication operations of the existing algorithm to one. And by optimizing the Split multiplier computation, it is implemented more efficient hardware to mount. The hardware was designed in the Verilog HDL language, and the results of logical synthesis using the Xilinx Vivado program were compared to verify real-time processing performance in 4K environments. Furthermore, this paper verifies the performance of the proposed hardware with mounting results on two FPGAs.

  • This paper proposed a novel do-interlacing algorithm using all direction edges estimation technique. In the proposed algorithm. previously developed the DOI(Direction-Oriented Interpolation) algorithm was used as a basis. The do-interlacing method was divided into two main parts. First, we should estimate edge direction. Then, missing pixel: were interpolated along with the decided edge. In this paper, after estimating the edge through the DOI algorithm considering high angle edge direction, missing pixels were interpolated by using the median filter. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm is superior to the conventional algorithms in terms of the objective and subjective criteria.
