In order to study the effect of mordanting on silk fabrics treated with tannin, those fabrics were treated with Al, Cu, Cr, Fe, Sn by pre and post mordanting. It was studied about color change, weighting effect, dgree of photodegradation by pre and post mordanting. The results are as fallows ; 1. On the addition of mordants into mimosa and tannic acid solution, &{\lambda}_{max}& of the former was slightly blue-shifted, on the other hand, &{\lambda}_{max}& of the latter was obviously Red-shifted. 2. In case of Cu, Cr, Pre mordanting, weighting effect were appeared. Weighting effect of silk fabrics treated with Tannic acid increased higher than mimosa by mordanting. 3. In color change, Silk fabrics treated with Mimosa and Tannic acid generally changed to red direction and fabrics treated with tannic acid changed to yellow direction by pre and post mordanting. 4. In the photodegradation, the degree of photodegradation on mordanted fabrics increased. Its degree was slack in Cu, Cr, Post mordanting. On the other hand, Al, Fe, Sn were greate. Silk fabrics treated with Mimosa and Tannic acid got inhibiting effect on photodegradation.

In recent studies, cold plasma has been used to induce exudation of polyphenols and flavonoids from food materials, leading to enhancement of functional properties. And it is known that polyphenols interact with inflammation related metabolism. The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of cold plasma treatments on the increase of total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), and anti-inflammatory activities of 'Sinpalkwang' peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) hull. Plasma treatments were carried out using a dielectric barrier discharge gas exchange system at different radicals and temperatures (O3-25℃, O3-150℃, NOx-150℃). Significant differences in TPC, TFC, and inflammatory mediator such as nitric oxide (NO) and tumor necrosis factor a (TNF-α) in lipopolysaccharide stimulated Raw 264.7 macrophages were observed between treated and non-treated peanut hull samples (p < 0.001). Cold plasma treated samples showed higher content (TPC: 2.87-2.93 mg/g sample, TFC: 0.96-0.98 mg/g sample) than non-treated sample (TPC: 2.47 mg/g sample, TFC: 0.78 mg/g sample). Cold plasma treated samples showed lower content of NO (3.3-5.0 uM) and TNF-α (141.4-162.2 ng/mL) than non-treated sample (NO: 11.1 uM, TNF-α: 210.2 ng/mL). This study suggests that cold plasma has potential to improve functionalities of food materials and that cold plasma treated peanut hull can be used as immune enhancing materials.

PURPOSE. To compare the fracture resistance and the mode of failure of endodontically treated teeth restored with different post-core systems. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Root canal treatment was performed on 40 maxillary incisors and the samples were divided into four groups of 10 each. For three experimental groups post space preparation was done and teeth were restored with cast post-core (Group B), stainless steel post with composite core (Group C) and glass fiber post with composite core using adhesive resin cement (Group D). Control group (A) samples were selected with intact coronal structure. All the samples were prepared for ideal abutment preparation. All the samples were subjected to a load of 0.5 mm/min at $130^{circ}$.until fracture occurred using the universal testing machine. The fracture resistance was measured and the data were analyzed statistically. The fracture above the embedded resin was considered to be favorable and the fracture below the level was considered as unfavorable. The statistical analysis of fracture resistance between different groups was carried out with t-test. For the mode of failure the statistical analysis was carried out by Kruskal-Wallis test and Chi-Square test. RESULTS. For experimental group Vs control group the fracture resistance values showed significant differences (P<.05). For the mode of failure the chi-square value is 16.1610, which means highly significant (P=.0009) statistically. CONCLUSION. Endodontically treated teeth without post core system showed the least fracture resistance demonstrating the need to reinforce the tooth. Stainless steel post with composite core showed the highest fracture resistance among all the experimental groups. Teeth restored with the Glass fiber post showed the most favorable fractures making them more amenable to the re-treatment.
Statement of problem : The various kinds of properties of post and core may affect the stress distribution to the root of endodontically treated teeth Purpose: To evaluate the influence of various kinds of properties of post and core to the stress distribution to the root of endodontically treated teeth. Material and methods: Mandibular first premolar, prepared by general shape of post and core with gold crown, was used to two dimensional axisymmetric modeling for finite element analysis. Then property values of 8 different kinds of post and core was substituted for each. Finally, stress distribution shown areas around the root of post and core was analysed after applying 50N of vortical and oblique load. Results: 1. Stress value of oblique load was much higher than the maximum stress value of vertical load. 2. Under oblique load, very concentrated stress was located on post periapical area and variations in stress were very severe. Contrary to this, stress distribution was relatively uniform in vertical load. 3. Post materials with higher elastic modulus showed relatively more apically focused stress, and post materials with lower elastic modulus showed stress focused on cervical area on the axial wall of post. 4. Stress change according to the properties of core was shown only in the cervical area of post and below core as the higher elastic modulus, then increased in stress. 5. Post and core with medium value of elastic modulus showed relatively uniform stress distribution. Conclusions: Post materials with higher elastic modulus showed relatively more apically focused stress, and post materials with lower elastic modulus showed stress focused on cervical area on the axial wall of post. Stress change according to the properties of core was shown only in the cervical area of post and below core.

Modification of Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollow fiber membranes (HFMs) characteristics and performance were investigated via post treatment using different oxidants. sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and potassium persulfate (KPS). Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) results revealed no structural differences after post treatment. Cross-sectional micrographs show finger-like structures at the outer and inner walls of the HFMs and sponge-like structures in middle, where NaOCl and KPS post treated fibers exhibited a decrease in finger-like structures in addition to aggregates appearing on the surface, consequently leading to an increase in the surface roughness (Ra) from 48 nm to 52.8nm and 56 nm, respectively. Hydrogen peroxide post treatment only was observed to decrease the water contact angle from 98° to 81.4°. It was also observed that the elongation at break and the modulus deceased after NaOCl post treatment from 34.5 to 28.5% and from 19.3 Mpa to 16.6 Mpa, respectively. Moreover, pure water flux after H2O2 post treatment increased from 87.8 LMH/bar to 113 LMH/bar at 0.45 bar, while no changes were detected for the methylene blue dye rejection (74%) between raw and hydrogen peroxide post treated fibers at the same pressure. According to the findings hydrogen peroxide post treated PVDF HFMs have the most uniform surfaces, with almost no alterations in structural and mechanical properties or porosities with enhanced hydrophilicity and pure water flux maintaining appropriate rejection. Therefore, it is considered an efficient surface modifying agent for UF/NF membranes or low-pressure separators.
The endodontically treated tooth is generally restored with post and core, owing to the brittleness and the loss of large amount of tooth structure. Although there have been lots of studies about the endodontically treated teeth, the three-dimensional quantitative studies about the stress distribution of them are in rare cases. In this study, it was assumed that the coronal portion of the upper incisor had extensively damaged. After the root canal therapy it was post cored, and restored with PFG crown. The three-dimensional model, in which the root was supported with a normal alveolar bone, was constructed. Force was applied to the centric stop point with the angle of 135 degrees to the long axis of the tooth. Force was assumed to be 250N as functional maximum bite force of upper central incisors. The results analyzed with three-dimensional finite element method were as follows : 1. Stress was concentrated on the middle portion of the labial side dentin and the apical portion of the dentin. 2. Stress in the post was more concentrated on the post apex. 3. The displacement of the post at the post-cement interface was almost symmetrical la-bio-lingually. 4. It assumed that restoring extensively damaged tooth with a post-core and PFG crown is an adequate method of restoration.
Objectives : The purpose of this case reports is to report the possibility of Post-CVA voiding dysfunction treated with Gamidaejihwang-tangaggam(加味大地黃湯加減). Methods : Three patients with Post-CVA voiding dysfunction were treated by Gamidaejihwang-tanggagam. Effect of treatment is assessed as Bladder Function Parity. Results and conclusions : Bladder function parity score improved, in three case. Additional research is needed on the effects of Gamidaejihwang-tanggagam for a Post-CVA Voiding disfunction.
Post-Environmental impact investigation(Post-EII) plays an important role in investigating and reducing the environmental impacts of construction operations in South Korea. To date, it has been estimated that the results for Post-EII showed the low reliability; however, understanding those reliability has rarely been studied. We investigated the effect on water qualities by construction operations of the quarry mine, training center, and golf club in South Korea. In addition, the results of water quality analysis in this study were compared and analyzed with those in Post-EII. Treated wastewater in a quarry mine showed high concentrations of biochemical oxygen demand(BOD), suspended solid(SS), total nitrogen(T-N), and total phosphorus(T-P). Compared with the water quality results between this study and Post-EII, the concentrations of BOD, SS, T-N, and T-P in the treated wastewater were higher than the interquartile range(IQR) as well as the range of the results from minimum to maximum in Post-EII(p<0.05). The concentrations of BOD, SS, T-N, and T-P in treated wastewater were high under constructions in a training center. The concentrations of BOD and SS exceeded the consultation standard for the treated wastewater. These concentrations showed the significant difference with the IQR and the range from minimum to maximum of the water quality results in Post-EII(p<0.05). Therefore, the management and monitoring for water quality should be conducted in the treated wastewater by of construction operations. In addition, the alternative to enhance the reliability for the water quality results should be sought in Post-EII.

To investigate the effects of seeding during freezing procedure on post-thaw viability, motility, and acrosome integrity of boar spermatozoa, semen from 5 Yorkshire boars were collected for this experiment. Raw semen were diluted with Merck I, subsequently added with cooling diluent containing lactose and egg yolk and with freezing diluent containing glycerol. The diluted semen were frozen on the rack in the styrofoam box filled with liquid nitrogen at the distance of 5 cm or I cm above LN2 level. Seeding was performed to only a group of straws frozen at 5 cm away on the surface of LN2. The frozen semen were thawed in $50^{\circ}C$C water and the viability and local motility were analyzed by sperm analysis imaging system. A part of thawed semen was taken for the examination of morphology of apical ridge of the acrosome to compare with the effect of seeding between the seeding-treated and non treated groups. I. Post-thaw viability was considerably higher in seeding-treated sperm than non-seeding group (p<0.01), however, no difference of local motility was obtained among the groups. 2. At three hours after thawing, viability was also higher in seeding-treated group than non-treated group (p<0.05), along with no difference of motility among the groups. 3. Higher normal acrosome integrity was obtained in the seeding-treated sperm than non-treated groups (p<0.01). 4. Between non-seeded groups, higher normal acrosome integrity was obtained in the sperm group frozen at 5cm upper on the surface of LN2 than that frozen at 1cm away (p<0.01). These results indicated that seeding treatment during freezing boar spermatozoa was beneficial to post-thaw viability and normal acrosome integrity.
