  • This study has an objective to analyze the causal relationship between the emotional labor of the members in the private security firms and its effect on their job stress and validity of the organization. To carry out the study, I established a population of private security guards working at the security firms in Seoul. Then a total of 700 question naires were sent out for the survey using the random sampling method of clusters. The study was carried out over about four months, from May, 2014 to September, 2014. A total of 676 questionnaires were used for the final data. 24 questionnaires were excluded either because they were not returned or contained extreme value. In this study, a statistical package of SPSSWIN 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used in the data analysis and the causal relationship was verified using the covariance structural equation. The analysis showed the emotional labor to have a positive effect on the validity of organization but a negative effect on the job stress at the statistical level of p<.001 and the hypothesis was adopted. The hypothesis regarding the job stress was also adopted because job stress was found to have a negative effect on the validity of organization at the statistical level of p<.001. In addition, job stress was found to have a negative effect on the relationship between the emotional labor and validity of organization at the statistical level of p<.001. As a result, the hypothesis about the job stress would function as the parameter was only partially adopted.

  • To approach science education for all which has been required in STS program, it is indispensable to develop variously differentiated education courses that are suitable for various students. In order to do that, we have to abstract essential items that are dealt with in common from science textbook which is regarded as the kernel of science education. Then, these items are developed by fitting for each level-STS science study models. The purpose of this study is to improve the level-based investigation competence by applying these models to various level learning. We obtained some results as the following: First, there has been a positive change for attitude to study science in part. Second, we find the materials in our life and this study is relating to science, technique and society. So we find out the fact that there is close connection between science technique and our life. And also it helps encourage to learn. Third, in the process of searching for and producing STS materials, students have a chance to study for themselves by working out self-leading research activity. Finally, students can reduce a preconception that science is difficult by encouraging attitudes to search for and make our problems in our life scientifically and the habits thinking of and understanding our daily life itself in the scientific sight.

To this end, we collected 250 samples of employees working in the kitchen of family restaurants. Among the collected 250 sample, 241 samples were usable for the analysis excluding 9. The result is as follows. Firstly, there is a difference in average of satisfaction in work according to each group of causes to recognize workplace bullying. That is, the group which vaguely recognizes bullying as for threat to professional status and isolation, and psychological harassment shows higher satisfaction in work than the group which recognizes the bullying well, which is statistically significant. The latter demonstrates more turnover intention than the former. Secondly, the research examining the effects of the causes of workplace bullying over the employees' satisfaction in work and turnover intention shows the following result. The causes to recognize workplace bullying of the employees have a negative effect(-) on job satisfaction on the whole. The causes to recognize workplace bullying of the employees have a positive influence(+) on turnover intention. In conclusion, manager in foodservice industry will need to provide employees with the environment which can help staff improve cooperation, unity and solidarity within the organization.

  • The current study aims to demonstrate the causal relationships of quality of work life (QWL), affective organizational commitment, and turnover intention among Y-Generational chefs in South Korea. In order to achieve the study purpose, the data were collected from 207 chefs working in hotel restaurants, independent restaurants, and franchised restaurants. To analyze the data, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and PROCESS Macro analysis were undertaken using SPSS 18.0. The results indicated that quality of work life consisted of two factors named as personal quality and social quality. Both factors of quality of work life had significantly positive effect on affective organizational commitment. However, in case of the relation between quality of work life and turnover intention, only personal quality had a significant negative effect on turnover intention while the effect of social quality on turnover intention was not significant. Furthermore, affective organizational commitment negatively affected turnover intention, and affective organizational commitment was determined as significant mediators between quality of work life and turnover intention. Implications of the empirical results and limitations of the study are also discussed.

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the level of knowledge, attitude and performance ability in CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and provided data for the development of an education program to improve CPR performance ability of nursery teachers. Methods: The participants were 220 nursery teachers working in daycare centers in A city located in G province. Data were collected during July, 2013. Results: The mean scores were 45.88 of 100 for knowledge, 3.69 of 5 for attitude, 2.65 of 5 for performance ability. There were significant differences in knowledge and performance ability according to education experience. There were positive correlations between knowledge and performance ability, and between attitude and performance ability. Factors affecting CPR performance ability were knowledge (${\beta}=.133$), attitude (${\beta}=.327$), and education in CPR (${\beta}=.343$). These factors explained 29.4% of the variance in CPR performance ability. Conclusion: Results indicate that nursery teachers' knowledge, attitude and CPR performance ability were not sufficient enough to perform accurate CPR in an emergency. Therefore, to improve performance ability of nursery teachers to carry out CPR in a cardiac arrest emergency of a child, educational strategies that focus on increasing knowledge and attitude need to be developed.

For the study, the survey was done to the staff nurses who are working at one of the selected 39 hospitals in the capital area, from January 6 to Feburary 8 in 1997. The data analysis was done by mean, standard deviation, Fisher's exact test, t-test, ANOVA through running SAS computer program. The results of the study were as follows : 1. The dilution ratio of the antibiotics was mostly 1 : 10 regardless of what kind of antibitics. Making the contrast was done only for the suspended to the antibiotics. Mostly the reaction was detected after 15 to 20 minutes from its diameter of redness and wheals. Most of the respondents answered they do the intradermal skin test only once for the same antibiotics. 2. In the education on the skin test the 66.7% from the respondents had exposed to the education mostly through the new nurses orientation. The 85,4% from them answered the need of the continuous education which had a significant difference in the number of beds(p=.046). The had experiences of detecting positive reactions(98.3%), and of anaphylaxis(49.5%) which had a significant difference in experience(p=.002) and in their age groups(p=.000). 3. The averge score of the confidence on the intradermal skin test was 3.32 form 4-point scale. Also it had a significant difference from the number of beds(p=.010), the year of experiences(p=.016), and their age groups(p=.046). 4. From the general characteristics of respondents, the injection methods had a significant difference in the amounts of injection, whether adopting the contrast pairing, and the repeatable skin tests for the same antibiotics. 5. Only 15 from 39 hospitals had their protocol about the intradermal skin test provided by nursing department which differs in its contents from that provided by the medical information center. From the results of the study, it is suggested that the continuous education on the intradermal skin test and its unified protocol should be provided. Also it is recomended that the drug manufacturer should notice about its anaphylactic cautions and pack its extra skin test use.
