Purpose - Despite that the importance of small enterprises' performance in the community has been magnified, no study has been conducted yet on the performance based on consumers directly faced by small enterprises. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the relationship between the life styles of consumers who use small enterprises' stores by type and the word of mouth(WOM) effects, which are concrete behaviors of consumers. Research design, data, and methodology - The VALS classification system was utilized to classify the types of life styles of consumers who use small enterprises' stores. The consumers were divided into a total of four types. This study was intended to investigate the effects of the types of consumers on the word of mouth(WOM) effects of consumers who use small enterprises' stores along with the effects of consumers' perception of economic situations on their word of mouth(WOM) effects after using small enterprises' stores. Results - The results of the study indicated that among the types of consumers who use small enterprises' stores, the group that pursues faith and the group that pursues knowledge had positive (+) effects on favorable word of mouth(WOM) effects. However, the group that pursues trends and the group that pursues action were shown to have no effect and positive or negative perceptions of economic situations were shown to have no effects of the word of mouth(WOM) effects of users of small enterprises' stores. Conclusions - In this study, as a measure to create small enterprises' performance, word of mouth(WOM) effects on small enterprises' stores according to consumers' consumption behaviors were examined focusing on consumers. Through the study results, the groups of consumers who use small enterprises' stores by type that provide favorable word of mouth(WOM) effects were derived. And This Study aims to investigate the relationship between the four type life styles of consumer who use small enterprises' stores and the word of mouth(WOM) effect. Accordingly This study is significant in that it derived a measure to create small enterprises' performance centering on consumers and that it presented a cornerstone for the establishment of small enterprises at the government level.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of brand identity of coffee specialty stores on customer 's brand trust of customers, brand attachment, revisit intention, and word of mouth intention. A survey was conducted and 342 copies were used in the analysis of the structural equation model. As a result of the study, the brand identity was proved to have a positive effect on brand trust. In addition, brand trust has a positive effect on brand attachment, indicating that it affects affection on the brand depending on the degree of trust on the brand. Brand attachment had a positive influence on revisit intention and positive influence on word of mouth intention. Therefore, the proper construction of brand identity is linked to the acquisition of fixed customers by linking with the intention of repurchase, and it affects the profit generation of brand, so the brand manager can confirm that proper establishment of brand identity and marketing strategy should be set up.
Today's economy is becoming more and more convergence between different industries as the demarcation of the boundaries of all areas is leading to innovations such as mobile and social network services. So Fin-tech is a new technology that can combine the advantages of mobile and Internet with the technology revolution to easily handle financial and IT tasks. This Fin-tech is a compound word of finance and technology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the overall structural relationship between Fin-Tech use motivation (usefulness, enjoyment) on user attitude and word of mouth intention. In addition, we investigated how FinTech use motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention change according to innovation resistance tendency. And, we examined how the motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention of FinTech change according to the message type (rational and emotional). The main results of this study are as follows. First, the usefulness and enjoyment of motivation for using FinTech have a positive effect on user attitude, and user attitude also has a positive effect on word of mouse intention. Second, the relationship between FinTech use motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention was found to difference according to consumers' innovation resistance. Third, it was found that the relationship between FinTech use motivation, user attitude, and word of mouth intention differs according to type of message (rational, emotional). At the conclusion of the study, the summary of the research results, implications and limitations, and future research direction are described.
Many companies have recently become interested in using social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook as a new channel to communicate with their customers. For example, companies often offer "special deals" (e.g., coupons, discounts, free samples, etc.) to their customers who participate in promotions or events on social networking sites. Companies often make important announcements on their products or services on social networking sites. By doing so, customers are encouraged to continue to have relationships with companies on social networking sites and to recommend the companies' presence on social networking sites to other potential customers. Moreover, customers who keep close relationships with companies on social networking sites often provide the companies with valuable suggestions and feedback. For instance, Starbucks has more than 2 million followers on Twitter, and often receive suggestions and feedback for their product offerings and services from the followers on Twitter. Although companies realize potential benefits of using social networking sites as a channel to communicate with their customers, it appears that many companies have difficulty forging long-lasting relationships with customers on social networking sites. It is often reported that many customers who had followed companies on Twitter later stopped following them for various reasons. Therefore, it is an important issue to understand what motivates customers to continue to keep relationships with companies on social networking sites. Nonetheless, due attention has yet paid to this issue until recently. This study intends to contribute to our understanding on customers' intention to continue to follow companies on Twitter and to spread positive word-of-mouth about companies on Twitter. Specifically, we identify seven potential factors that customers perceive as important in evaluating their experience with companies on Twitter. The seven factors include similarity, receptivity, interactivity, ubiquitous connectivity, enjoyment, usefulness and transparency. We posit that the seven perception factors can affect the two types of satisfaction, emotional and cognitive, which can in turn influence on customers' intention to follow companies on Twitter and to spread positive word-of-mouth about companies on Twitter. Research hypotheses formulated in this study were tested with data collected from a questionnaire survey administered to customers who had been following companies on Twitter. The data was analyzed with the partial least square (PLS) approach to structural equation modeling. The results of data analysis based on 177 usable responses were generally supportive of our predictions for the effects of the seven factors identified and the two types of satisfaction. In particular, out results suggest that emotional satisfaction was strongly influenced by perceived similarity, perceived receptivity, perceived enjoyment, and perceived transparency. Cognitive satisfaction was significantly influenced by perceived similarity, perceived interactivity, perceived enjoyment, and perceived transparency. While cognitive satisfaction was found to have significant and positive effects on both continued following and word-of-mouth intentions, emotional satisfaction had a significant and positive effect only on word-of-mouth intention.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of physical environment of Japanese restaurant on customer satisfaction, revisit intention and word of mouth intention. For this purpose, data were collected from 341 adult males and females who had used Japanese restaurants in Daegu. SPSS program frequency analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. Through the factor analysis, the physical environment of the Japanese specialty restaurant was identified as a component of comfort, aesthetics, and convenience. As a result of the multiple regression analysis, the three components of the physical environment have positive effects on customer satisfaction, return visit intention, and word of mouth intention. The results of regression analysis showed that customer satisfaction had a positive effect on revisit and word of mouth intention. Through the results of this study, we confirmed the physical and environmental impacts of the specialty restaurants and suggested the practical and theoretical implications.
This study examined the influence of perceived value, perceived quality, reasonable price of subtropical vegetables on trust, purchase intention and word of mouth among hotel chefs. For this investigation, a survey was carried out targeting hotel chefs in Korea with experience with subtropical vegetables. A total of 380 questionnaires were distributed to selected chefs over 20 days from October 1st to October 20th, 2014, of which 353 valid questionnaires were used after the exclusion of responses missing values or too much weighted tendency. A frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted with the use of the SPSS 18.0 package. The analysis results are as follows. First, perceived value, perceived quality and reasonable price had a positive influence on trust. Second, trust had a positive effect on purchase intention and word of mouth. Third, purchase intention positively influenced word of mouth.
A great number of customers, who want to watch movies usually check out online reviews before choosing what to watch a movie. The most representative online media that customers consult are portal sites and SNS (Social Network Service). Although there have been numerous studies on online eWOM (e-Word of Mouth) and the effects of online media in businesses, it remains a question that which media is best for WOM (Word of Mouth) when selecting movies. This research examines customer's intention for consulting eWOM and for watching movies according to the number and tendency of online replies. We have compared portal sites and SNS about information of movie. The study shows that a large number of positive replies can affect the intention for WOM and choosing movies. Facebook has more influence than portal sites when choosing what to watch when replies consist of large and positive comments. However, there is no difference between the two types of media when they consist of negative comments.
Purpose The aim of this study is to investigate how system quality, privacy concerns, and usefulness impact user satisfaction and word-of-mouth intention towards smart order services among Chinese consumers. The study also seeks to provide both theoretical and practical implications based on the findings. Design/methodology/approach This study conducted an empirical study on Chinese consumers through an online survey on 274 users of smart order service in China. To analyze the data, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were performed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 statistical programs, and structural equation model was used for hypothesis testing. Findings The study results are as follows. First, system quality was found to have a positive effect on usefulness and user satisfaction. Second, privacy concerns were found to have a positive effect on user satisfaction, but not on usefulness. Third, user satisfaction was found to have a positive effect on consumers' word-of-mouth intention of the smart order service. Finally, mediating effects were found between system quality and user satisfaction through usefulness, as well as between system quality, perceived privacy concern, and usefulness through user satisfaction.

The importance of eWOM (electronic word-of-mouth) communication through online communities is increasing on a daily basis. This study analyzed how the relationship between eWOM (electronic Word-Of-Mouth) factor and eWOM communication depends on the cultural orientation of users in the online community. The research model was developed based on four cultural orientations of individual affect Social tie and usefulness. The model consists of variables such as social tie and perceived usefulness as predecessors of eWOM, four dimensions of cultural orientation (Horizontal Individualism, Horizontal Collectivism, Vertical Individualism, Vertical Collectivism), and eWOM. The model was tested empirically using the PLS (partial least squares) structure equation model. Survey was conducted for online community users in South Korea. Data was statistically validated whether fits on research model. The study results reveal that Social Tie have a positive effect on Perceived Usefulness. Social Tie and Perceived Usefulness have a positive effect on eWOM. 3 of cultural orientations (HC, VI, VC) have a positive effect on Social Tie. Only one of cultural orientations (HC) have an negative effect on Perceived Usefulness. Especially, horizontal collectivism (HC) shows strong correlation with perceived usefulness, whereas vertical collectivism (VC) shows weak correlation with perceived usefulness andvertical individualism (VI) shows strongly correlation with social tie, whereas horizontal individualism (HI) shows weak correlation with social tie. Based on the study results, customized service strategy could be formulated according to the different vertical styles and various eWOM factors.
Recently, in order to promote their marketing promotion, the entrepeneurs attach importance to many SNS services and execute it. The representative elements of the SNS service are interactivity, information offering. This study analyzes empirical effects on the SNS service depending on the Relationship Commitment and shows the strategies to enlarge the use frequency and the On-line Word-of-Mouth. The conclusion of this study shows that the Interactivity has a higher positive effects on Affective Commitment than those on information offering and Information offering has stronger positive effects on calculative commitment than interactivity. Also, these effects enlarge the high use frequency more than the low use frequency. This study also shows that the information offering affect the On-line Word-of-Mouth more positively than the Interactivity. And this study shows that SNS service affects the positive effects on the relationship commitment rather than the On-line Word-of-Mouth. Based on the results, the practical implications are offered.
