An ANCOVA was conducted to identify significant mean differences of risk, safety, satisfaction and health related variables among direct employed workers, dispatch and service supplier workers. The results showed that all the variables except stress showed a significant difference depending on employment type in the service supply industry. In the manufacturing industry, there were significant difference in the risk factor exposure, MSDs exposure, work environment satisfaction, workload, physical health problem, perceived health, and participation depending on employment type. These results indicated that the risks are unloaded to subcontract and outsourcing company workers. Based on these results, the implications of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

  • This study is to propose an acceptance model that explains the use of telemedicine effects for chronic disease. For this purpose, the effect factors and variables for Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) were investigated through a structural equation model by performing a sample survey for 210 senior patients who are under treatment with telemedicine in Kangwon area in 2013. The findings from the results are as follows: 1) perceived usefulness and perceived easy of use influence the intent to use telemedicine; 2) open-minded patients group is more positive to the easy of use and usefulness for the telemedicine; 3) it matches with the previous research that shows the trust in telemedicine system is affected by the experience for practical use of information; 4) it is known that the external control factors for health affect perceived usefulness positively. This study contributes to optimize the TAM by verifying the acceptance of telemedicine system in a rural community.

  • Using survey data and the Heckit model that adequately controls the sample selection bias, we analyze shoppers expenditure through two major emerging shopping channels: Internet shopping and TV home shopping channels. Age, Internet experience, daily Internet usage, the number of computers are factors that affect the ratio of consumers' expenditure through Internet shopping relative to the expenditure through TV home shopping. Shopping frequency which represents the shoppers' incentives to reduce transaction costs also has a positive effect on the proportion of shoppers' expenditure through the Internet shopping. Shoppers' perceptions of convenience, reliability, speed, and diversity are also shown to affect shoppers' relative expenditure ratio through Internet shopping. In contrast, shoppers' perception of prices does not seem to affect their purchasing behavior.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand dogs for their happy lives. Experiment and survey were conducted to find out the effects of sensory stimulation on dogs emotions. Sensory were divided into visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, complex and emotions were measured by the rate of deep sleep, feed intake, and heart rate. Research has shown that complex stimulation (walking) is the most positive stimulation for dog's emotions, but visual stimulation and auditory stimulation do not act as stimuli that positively change usual state of dog's emotions. Olfactory stimuli is the second best stimulation. Since olfactory stimulation is effective in maintaining a calm state without large deviation in the dog's state, it can be used as a method for relieving the dog's stress in exceptional situations when complex stimulation is not possible. On the other hand, tactile stimulation, bath, is a negative sensory stimulus that causes hypersomnia and binge eating for most dogs.
