Counter-rotating axial flow fan(CRF) consists of two counter-rotating rotors without stator blades. CRF shows the complex flow characteristics of the three-dimensional, viscous, and unsteady flow fields. For the understanding of the entire core flow in CRF, it is necessary to investigate the three-dimensional unsteady flow field between the rotors. This information is also essential to improve the aerodynamic characteristics and to reduce the aerodynamic noise level and vibration characteristics of the CRF. In this paper, experimental study on the three-dimensional unsteady flow of the CRF is performed at the design point(operating point). Flow fields in the CRF are measured at the cross-sectional planes of the upstream and downstream of each rotor using the $45^{\circ}$ inclined hot-wire. The phase-locked averaged hot-wire technique utilizes the inclined hot-wire, which rotates successively with 120 degree increments about its own axis. Three-dimensional unsteady flow characteristics such as tip vortex, secondary flow and tip leakage flow in the CRF are shown in the form of the axial, radial and tangential velocity vector plot and velocity contour. The phase-locked averaged velocity profiles of the CRF are analyzed by means of the stationary unsteady measurement technique. At the mean radius of the front rotor inlet and the outlet, the phase-locked averaged velocity profiles show more the periodical flow characteristics than those of the hub region. At the tip region of the CRF, the axial velocity is decreased due to the boundary layer effect of the fan casing and the tip vortex flow. The radial and the tangential velocity profiles show the most unstable and unsteady flow characteristics compared with other position of rotors. But, the phase-locked averaged velocity profiles of the downstream of the rear rotor show the aperiodic flow pattern due to the mixture of the front rotor wake period and the rear rotor rotational period.
Purpose: The goal of this systematic review was to compare the use of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) with that of computed tomography (CT) for volumetric evaluations of the tongue and oral cavity. Materials and Methods: A search for articles was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses guidelines. The PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and SAGE Journals databases were searched for articles published between 2011 and 2021. Articles were screened and assessed for eligibility. Screening involved checking for duplication, reading the title and abstract, and reading the full text. Results: The initial search retrieved 25,780 articles. Application of the eligibility criteria yielded 16 articles for qualitative analysis. Multiple uses of CBCT were identified. In several studies, researchers assessed the volumetric correlation between tongue and oral cavity volumes, as well as other parameters. Post-treatment volumetric evaluations of the oral cavity were also reported, and the reliability of CBCT was assessed. The use of CT resembled that of CBCT. Conclusion: CBCT has been used in the evaluation of tongue and oral cavity volumes to assess correlations between those volumes and with the upper airway. It has also been used for volumetric evaluation after surgical and nonsurgical procedures and to assess the relationships between tongue volume, tooth position, occlusion, and body mass index. Participants with obstructive sleep apnea and malocclusion have been evaluated, and the reliability of CBCT has been assessed. In the included studies, CT was utilized for similar purposes as CBCT, but its reliability was not assessed.

The strategic management process includes the establishment of competitive strategy, its implementation and the measurement of its performance. The sucess of strategic management largely depends on the integration of strategic management process into a managerial tool. This study is on the integration of strategic management process into a managerial tool based on the power process, so that it contributes to strategic success or sustainable competitive advantage of a £inn In order to do this, I discussed the principles of the power process, its characteristics, and then suggest their applications to the integration of the strategic management process. According to the results, the power process offers a theoretical and managerial tool which integrates the establishment of competitive strategy with managerial concepts, so that it increases the likelihood of strategic success. Furthermore I discussed the position of the power process approach to competitive advantage in a manner that displays similarities and differences with existing approaches such as industry organizational, resource-based and game theory approach.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the force delivery profile of thermoformed aligners (TFA) compared with direct-printed aligners (DPA) and to explore the effect of different activation amounts on forces and moments of respective groups. A secondary objective is to observe the amount of stress relaxation that occurs over the 7~14 days when aligners are maintained in a simulated intraoral environment. Materials and Methods: An in vitro setup was created to quantify forces and moments. It consisted of a three dimensional-printed base plate and segmented maxillary teeth, placed in a semi-enclosed chamber to maintain a temperature of 37℃. Ninety clear aligners were divided into nine groups of ten aligners each based on material types (Zendura, ATMOS, TC-85) and activation amounts. Aligners were created with 0.00, 0.25- and 0.50-mm activations for lingual bodily movement of the upper left central incisor and kept on models in the "stressed" position in a 37℃ water bath. Three force components acting on the upper left lateral incisor, upper left central incisor, and upper right central incisor were measured for each time point, beginning from the initial baseline measurement, 8 hours, 16 hours, 24 hours, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days, 7 days, and lastly, 14 days. Result: TC-85 aligners in every activation group showed less force on teeth than Zendura and ATMOS. Significant force levels from 0.0 mm activation were present and stayed consistent over the course of 14 days. Comparisons made for baseline measurements to 7-days and 14-days showed statistically significant change from the baseline force level. Conclusion: TC-85 aligners demonstrated lower, more consistent forces with fewer side effects. Aligners can generate forces even when no activation is programmed. No major decreases in force levels over time were observed; the intra-oral clinical simulated environment and length of observation time could contribute to this.
The purpose of this study was to develop an assist device that could correct and support patient position during biopsy on computed tomography (CT) using 3D printing technology. The development method was conducted in the order of 3D design, 3D output, intermediate evaluation for product, final assist device evaluation. The 3D design method was conducted in the order of prior research data survey, measurement, primary modeling, 3D printing, output evaluation, and supplementary modeling. The 3D output was the 3D printer (3DWOX 2X, Sindoh, Korea) with additive manufacturing technology and the polylactic acid (PLA) materials. At this time, the optimal strength was evaluated to infill degree of product as the 3D printing factors into 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. The intermediate evaluation and supplementation was measured noise in the region of interest (ROI) around the beam hardening artifact on the CT images. We used 128-channel MDCT (Discovery 75 HD, GE, USA) to scan with a slice thickness of 100 kVp, 150 mA, and 2.5 mm on the 3D printing product. We compared the surrounding noise of the final 3D printing product with the beginning of it. and then the strength of it according to the degree of infill was evaluated. As a result, the surrounding noise of the final and the early devices were measured at an average of 3.3 ± 0.5 HU and 7.1 ± 0.1 HU, respectively, which significantly reduced the noise of the final 3D printing product (p<0.001). We found that the percentage of infill according to the optimal strength was found to be 60%. Finally, development of assist devices for CT biopsy will be able to minimize artifacts and provide convenience to medical staff and patients.

Ensuring accuracy within tolerance is crucial for a marking robot; however, rebar displacement frequently occurs during the structural work process, necessitating corrections to layout lines or rebar locations. To guarantee precision and automation, the marking robot must be capable of measuring rebar error and determining appropriate adjustments for marking lines and rebar placement. Consequently, this study proposes a method for measuring rebar location error using a LiDAR sensor and implementing a layout assessment process based on the measurement results. The rebar recognition experiment using the LiDAR sensor yielded an average error of 5mm, demonstrating a reliable level of accuracy for wall rebars. Additionally, this research proposed a process that enables the robot to evaluate rebar and marking corrections based on the error range. The findings of this study can contribute to the automated operation of marking robots while accounting for construction errors, potentially leading to improvements in structural quality.

Background: Titanium is the most widely used metal for bone integration, especially for cancer patients receiving ionizing radiation. This study aimed to investigate the amifostine administration that would reduce the effects of radiation on bone healing and osseointegration in rat models. Objectives: It is aimed that the application of amifostine in rats receiving radiotherapy treatment will reduce the negative effects of ionizing radiation on the bone. Methods: Thirty-five adult male Wistar rats were randomly divided into one healthy and four experimental groups. In three consecutive days, two experimental groups of rats (AMF-RT-IMP and RT-IMP) were exposed to radiation (15 Gy/3 fractions of 5 Gy each). Then the titanium implants were inserted into the left tibia. Before the radiotherapy process, a 200 mg/kg dose of amifostine (AMF) was administered to the rats in the AMF-IMP and AMF-RT-IMP groups. Twenty-eight days after the screw implant, all rats were sacrificed, and their blood samples and tibia bones were collected for analysis. Results: The results indicated an accelerated bone formation and a more rapid healing process in the screw implants in the AMF-IMP, AMF-RT-IMP, and AMF-RT groups than in the RT-IMP group. Also, bone-implant contact area measurement and inflammation decreased with amifostine treatment in the implants subjected to irradiation (p < 0.05). Conclusions: The results obtained in the present study suggested that amifostine prevents the losses of bone minerals, bone integrity, and implant position from ionizing-radiation when given before exposure.
Recently, smart wearable products, including electromyography (EMG) measurement devices and clothing, have been developed to monitor users' exercise levels, muscle activation, and muscle balance more effectively during fitness activities. However, technical and socioeconomic barriers, such as flexibility and durability, still pose challenges in terms of comfort, ease of wear, and wearability of smart clothing, which includes devices and circuits. To address these issues, this study developed a wearable EMG device integrated with clothing to collect valid EMG signals from desired muscles while maintaining comfort, functionality, and ease of wear. After deriving a combined structure that could stably position the wearable device within the clothing, a prototype was manufactured and evaluated for fit, compression, comfort, and exercise comfort test by ten participants (height = 176.2 cm, weight = 76.4 kg, chest circumference = 101.2 cm). The study found that the prototype had smaller circumferences around the chest, waist, and abdomen compared to commercial products, resulting in lower ratings for wearing comfort and ease of wear. However, the prototype received high ratings for fitting, pressure, and the exercise comfort test. Valid signals were obtained when the EMG device was combined to the prototype for the rectus femoris muscle, indicating stable positioning of the device during exercise.

Numerous Sundials were fabricated during the reign of King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty. One among them is Jeongnam-Ilgu (the Fixing-South Sundial), where the time can be measured after setting up the suitable meridian line without a compass. We reconstructed the new Jeongnam-Ilgu model based on the records of 'Description of Making the Royal Observatory Ganui (簡儀臺記)' in the Veritable Record of King Sejong. Jeongnam-Ilgu has a summer solstice half-ring under a horizontal ring which is fixed to two pillars in the north and south, and in which a declination ring rotates around the polar axis. In our model, the polar axis matches the altitude of Hanyang (that is Seoul). There are two merits if the model is designed to install the polar axis in the way that enters both the north and south poles and rotates in them: One is that it is possible to fix the polar axis to the declination ring together with the cross-strut. The other is that a twig for hanging weights can be protruded on the North Pole. The declination ring is supposed to be 178 mm in diameter and is carved on the scale of the celestial-circumference degrees on the ring's surface, where a degree scale can be divided into four equal parts through the diagonal lines. In addition, the time's graduation that is drawn on the summer solstice half-ring makes it possible to measure the daytime throughout the year. An observational property of Jeongnam-Ilgu is that a solar image can be obtained using a pin-hole. The position cast by the solar image between hour circles makes a time measurement. We hope our study will contribute to the restoration of Jeongnam-Ilgu.

Securities and investment services have and use large data. Investors started to invest through their own analysis methods. There are 22 major securities and investment companies in Korea and only 6 companies support open API. Python is effective for requesting and receiving, analyzing text data from open API. Daishin Securities Co. is the only open API that officially supports Python, and eBest Investment & Securities Co. unofficially supports Python. There are two important differences between CYBOS plus of Daishin Securities Co. and xingAPI of eBest Investment & Securities Co. First, we must log in to CYBOS plus to access the server of Daishin Securities Co. And the python program does not require a logon. However, to receive data using xingAPI, users log on in an individual Python program. Second, CYBOS plus receives data in a Request/Reply method, and zingAPI receives data through events. It can be thought that these points will show a difference in response time. Response time is important to users who use open APIs. Data were measured from August 5, 2021, to February 3, 2022. For each measurement, 15 repeated measurements were taken to obtain 420 measurements. To increase the accuracy of the study, both APIs were measured alternately under same conditions. A paired t-test was performed to test the hypothesis that the null hypothesis is there was no difference in means. The p-value is 0.2961, we do not reject null hypothesis. Therefore, we can see that there is no significant difference between means. From the boxplot, we can see that the distribution of the response time of eBest is more spread out than that of Cybos, and the position of the center is slightly lower. CYBOS plus has no restrictions on Python programming, but xingAPI has some limits because it indirectly supports Python programming. For example, there is a limit to receiving more than one current price.
