This paper deals with the analysis of the inner-loop algorithm of the Pixhawk which is a representative multi-copter open source. The algorithm is based on flight control-law structure. The inner-loop algorithm of the Pixhawk can be divided into a position controller and an attitude controller. The position controller generates the attitude of the multi-copter to move to the destination The position controller also generates the demand force and moment acting on each actuator. We confirm that the position controller saturates the desired acceleration and speed by using a proper relational expression. The expression can be used in order to prevent the sudden change in the attitude of a multi-copter.

This paper reports the results of a case study for the evaluation of surface damage by using acoustic nonlinearity of surface wave. In this study, the experimental system was constructed to measure the acoustic nonlinear parameter of surface wave in an Aluminum 6061 T6 specimen of which surface was damaged by the three point bending fatigue test, and magnitudes of nonlinear parameter measured before and after the fatigue test were compared. Especially, since the surface fatigue damage by the three point bending is concentrated at the central position of loading, the change in the nonlinear parameter around this position was monitored. Experimental results showed that the measured nonlinear parameter at the outside of this position after the fatigue test was almost same as the initial value before the fatigue test, since the fatigue damage at this position was little. However, clear increase in the nonlinear parameter was noticed after the fatigue test at the central position of specimen where the surface fatigue damage is expected to be concentrated.

Background: Stellate ganglion block is usually performed at the transverse process of C6, because the vertebral artery is located anterior to the transverse process of C7. The purpose of this study is to estimate the location of the transverse process of C6 using the cricoid cartilage in the performance of stellate ganglion block. Methods: We reviewed cervical lateral neutral-flexion-extension views of 48 patients who visited our pain clinic between January and June of 2010. We drew a horizontal line at the surface of the cricoid cartilage in the neutral and extension views of cervical lateral x-rays. We then measured the change in the shortest distance from this horizontal line to the lowest point of the transverse process of C6 between the neutral and extension views. Results: There was a statistically significant difference in the shortest distance from the horizontal line at the surface of the cricoid cartilage to the lowest point of transverse process of C6 between neutral position and neck extension position in both males and females, and between males and females in both neutral position and neck extension position. The cricoid cartilage level was 4.8 mm lower in males and 14.4 mm higher in females than the lowest point of transverse process of C6 in neck extension position. Conclusions: Practitioners should recognize that the cricoid cartilage has cephalad movement in neck extension. In this way, the cricoid cartilage can be still useful as a landmark for stellate ganglion block.
Cytochrome P450 hydroxylase (CYP) in actinomycetes plays an important role in the biosynthesis and bioconversion of various secondary metabolites. Two unique CYPs named CYP-sb21 and CYP-pa1, which were identified from Sebekia benihana and Pseudonocardia autotrophica, respectively, were proven to transfer a hydroxyl group at the 4th or 9th N-methyl leucine position of immunosuppressive agent cyclosporin A (CsA). Interestingly, these two homologous CYPs showed different CsA regio-selectivities. CYP-sb21 exhibited preferential hydroxylation activity at the 4th position over the 9th position, whereas CYP-pa1 showed the opposite preference. To narrow down the CYP domain critical for CsA regio-selectivity, each CYP was divided into four domains, and each domain was swapped with its counterpart from the other CYP. A total of 18 hybrid CYPs were then individually tested for CsA regio-selectivity. Although most of the hybrid CYPs failed to exhibit a significant change in regio-selectivity in the context of CsA hydroxylation, hybrid CYP-pa1 swapped with the second domain of CYP-sb21 showed a higher preference for the 9th position. Moreover, hybrid CYPsb21 containing seven amino acids from the 2nd domain of CYP-pa1 showed higher preference for the 4th position. These results imply that the 2nd domain of CsA-specific CYP plays a critical role in CsA regio-selectivity, thereby setting the stage for biotechnological application of CsA regio-selective hydroxylation.

PURPOSE: Stroke patients may develop an over-pronated foot, resulting in a lower medial longitudinal arch. This can lead to a structural change of the foot due to deformation of the musculoskeletal system. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of modified low-dye taping on stroke patients with an excessively pronated foot. The effect of the taping on the foot after light daily activity was also examined. METHODS: The subjects consisted of 21 stroke patients with an excessively pronated foot, as measured by the navicular drop test. First, their navicular heights were measured at a relaxed standing position (measure 1) and while standing in the subtalar neutral position (measure 2). Modified low-dye taping was applied to each subject's affected foot and the navicular height was then measured for the standing posture (measure 3). Finally, each subject walked around for 10 minutes and the navicular height was measured again (measure 4). RESULTS: Statistical analyses showed that the navicular height value at the relaxed standing position (measure 1) was significantly lower than for the other 3 measurements. That is, the modified low-dye taping was effective in maintaining a subtalar neutral position, even after a 10-minute walk, for stroke patients with an excessively pronated foot. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that modified low-dye taping applied to stroke patients with an excessively pronated foot could be an effective way to place the subtalar joint in a neutral position, and that its effect can be sustained for light daily activities.
Purpose : To compare and evaluate the diagnostic ability of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Materials and Methods : CBCT and MRI of 46 TMJs of 23 patients with TMJ disorders were evaluated. They were divided into 3 groups according to the position of the articular disc of the TMJ at closed mouth position and the reduction of the disc during open mouth position on MRI: no disc displacement group (NDD), disc displacement with reduction group (DDR), and disc displacement without reduction group (DDWR). With PACS viewing soft-wares, position of mandibular condyle in the articular fossa, osseous change of mandibular condyle, shape of articular fossa, and mediolateral and anteroposterior dimensions of mandibular condyle were evaluated on CBCT and MRI. Each value was tested statistically. Results : The position of mandibular condyle in the articular fossa were concentric in the NDD, DDR, and DDWR of CBCT and NDD of MRI. However, condyle was positioned posteriorly in DDR and DDWR of MRI. Flattening, sclerosis and osteophyte of the mandibular condyle were much more apparent on DDR of CBCT than MRI. And the erosion of the condyle was much more apparent on DDWR of MRI than CBCT. Box and Sigmoid types of articular fossa were found most frequently in DDR of MRI. Flattened type was found most frequently in DDR of CBCT and deformed type was found most frequently in DDWR of CBCT. No significant difference in mediolateral and anteroposterior dimensions were shown on CBCT and MRI. Conclusion : Since MRI and CBCT has unique diagnostic imaging ability, both modalities should be used together to supplement each other to evaluate TMJ.
The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for improving athletic performances by analyzing the kinematic variables of the Double Backward Somersault on the Parallel Bars through the 3D motion analysis. The subjects in this study were 5 male gymnasts who were ranked as national athletes. The results are as follows. 1. A total time(Mean Time) of performance showed $2.72{\pm}0.82\;sec$. and flight time to landing after releasing was 0.87sec.(mean). In order to perform better stable flying movement, the flight time should be increased. 2. In the change of velocity of the center of mass, when the increasing ascension velocity of the upper point was high, the position in the top point was high on releasing. 3. In the position variable of the center of mass, the mean of upper-bottom position in horizontal posture was $242.1{\pm}6.5cm$, $232.8{\pm}6.4cm$ in releasing, and $265.0{\pm}5.6cm$ in the highest point. This result is explained that the position of center of mass can be raised by using elastic power when wrist raised the bar in the releasing movement. 4. The angle of shoulder joint was $271.1{\pm}14.0$. Such a big angle influences a negative effect on the releasing velocity, because trunk is not a position in the enough vertical direction. 5. The ankle of hip joint in hand-standing was $191.1{\pm}5.9$, $118.8{\pm}5.3$ in releasing, and $122.3{\pm}5.3$ in taking on. Therefore, the result suggests that trunk should be straightly raised in taking on.

In this paper, we propose a luminance correction algorithm based on measuring position for potable luminance measurement system. Measurement position and angle have an affect on the luminance value. We improve the position-based luminance measurement system using luminance correction algorithm based on the measuring angle. We analyze change of luminance value according to the measurement distance and angle from camera and light source. The certified point-luminance meter is used to evaluate a scene luminance measuring method using the image information of camera. Also, we derive an expression equation for evaluating luminance value from determined position. The performances of the proposed system are verified by using comparative experiments with the point-luminance meter using experimental signboard.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in muscle activation associated with foot position during a sit-to-stand exercise among normally healthy elderly subjects. Methods: Eight subjects (male=3; female=5; mean age=$70.13{\pm}{\pm}2.53$years) were recruited. The activation of six muscles (neck extensor; lumbar extensor; hamstring; rectus femoris; gastrocnemius; tibialis anterior) was measured by surface EMG (TeleMyo 2400T G2, Noraxon Inc., USA) during a sit-to-stand protocol under three different foot positions (ankle dorsiflexion of 0, 15, or 30 degrees). Results: Muscle activation of the neck extensor and hamstring was decreased according to the change in foot position (p<0.05), but activation of the rectus femoris was increased (p<0.05). Muscle activation of the neck extensor was significantly different between 0 and 15 degrees (p<0.05). Muscle activation of the hamstring was significantly different between 0 and 15 degrees and between 0 and 30 degrees (p<0.05). Muscle activation of the rectus femoris was significantly different between 0 and 30 degrees and between 15 and 30 degrees (p<0.05). However, activation of lumbar extensor, gastrocnemius and tibialis anterior muscles did not significantly differ between foot positions. Conclusion: These findings suggest that muscle activation during a sit-to-stand movement differs depending on foot position. We believe that these differences should be considered when educating the elderly regarding proper body movements.

Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) is a convenient system that acquires position and time information of a receiver if only satellite signals can be received anywhere in the world. However navigation signals include errors and a position error occurs according to the reception state of the signal. Also, a position error is affected by the geometric arrangement of the satellites. Therefore a receiver position performance varies by the number and status of visible satellites The condition of satellite signals is not good when the satellite rises or sets and the position change of receiver occurs when the signal is blocked by an obstacle such as a building in the urban area. In this paper, we proposed methods to improve the GNSS performance by using pseudorange correction method estimating the correction amount and the visible satellites selection method. By applying the proposed methods to an environment in which the number of visible satellites changes variously, the performance enhancement was verified.
