Analysis on the Hyperlink of News Articles on the Internet Media : Focusing upon the Naver, Daum, Yahoo Site (인터넷 미디어 뉴스기사 본문의 하이퍼링크에 대한 분석 -네이버, 다음, 야후를 중심으로-)

  • This paper aims to analyze the hyperlink between the portal sites and the press dot coms news and to grasp the features of news service on the online journalism. As a result of the analysis, the portal sites, in the number of news articles which the hyperlink service had been provided, were more than the press dot coms. But in the number of the hyperlinks in the news story which hyperlink service had been provided, the press dot coms were more than the portal sites. The contents that were hyperlinked to the news stories of online journalism were composed of a informative type and an advertising one. All contents that were hyperlinked to the news stories on portal site were informative. On the other hand, about 92% of the contents that were hyperlinked to the news stories on the press web sites were advertising. By means of this analysis, the features of news service on the online journalism could be grasped.

Extracting week key issues and analyzing differences from realtime search keywords of portal sites (포털사이트 실시간 검색키워드의 주간 핵심 이슈 선정 및 차이 분석)

  • Since realtime search keywords of portal sites are arranged in descending order by instant increasing rates of search numbers, they easily show issues increasing in interests for a short time. But they have the limits extracted different results by portal sites and not shown issues by a period. Thus, to find key issues from the whole realtime search keywords for certain period, and to show results of summarizing them and analyzing differences, is significant in providing the basis of understanding issues more practically and in maintaining consistency of them. This paper analyzes differences of week key issues extracted from week analysis of realtime search keywords provided by two typical portal sites. The results of experiments show that the portal group means of realtime search keywords by the independent t-test and the survival functions of realtime search keywords by the survival analysis are statistically significant differences.

An Empirical Study for the Effects of Game Characteristics on Emotion and Customer Satisfaction in Game Portal Site (게임 특성이 게임포털 사이트에 대한 감정과 고객만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Since the players in online games seek fun, emotional aspects may be important factors in the pleasure-oriented information systems. This study attempted to verify the effects of characteristic factors of games (fun, challenge, compensation, and diversity) on emotion and customer satisfaction in game portal sites. The study established the research model on the foundation of precedent researches related to online games, emotion, and customer satisfaction. The study conducted online and offline survey on individuals with experiences in using online game portal sites. 206 samples were used to test the research hypotheses. By using Structural Equation Modeling, The study found the following results. First, it was revealed that characteristics of games had positive effects on emotion in game portal sites and indirect effects on user satisfaction. Second, the study analyzed the difference between low user group and high user group. It was revealed that the characteristics of games had positive effects on emotion in the low user group, but only challenge factor influenced on emotion in the high user group.

  • This study is concerned with selling alliance in the internet shopping services, which is generally used by portal sites in recent and that is a typical form of strategic alliance. This study tried to find the relationship between. consumer's attitude and alliance performance. The authors investigated them in the field. then searched the reasons and determinants of selling alliance performance. As a result of field investigation, the authors found that the traffic of the portal site was not proportionated to the sales of internet shopping mall and this was not consistent with general expectation, With the analysis of it, the authors found that attitudes to the sites (brands) allianced in On-line and recognition of fitting between them had influenced positively on the attitude and purchase intention to alliance services. Moreover, unlike the attitude to the portal sites, the attitude to the internet shopping mall had positively influenced directly on the purchase intention. The other hand. from the view of influence power on the attitude to the allianced shopping service, the recognition of fitting between the sites was the factor which had the least effect of all factors. Compared with Off-line, this is interesting aspect of On-line. So in the On-line selling alliance, be careful of consideration for not only prior attitudes to the partners(portal and shopping mall) but also the fitness between them and make it in the mind that the attitude to shopping mall has greater influence upon the purchase intention than that to portal site.

An Analysis of the Contents and Make-up of the Page in a News Story of the Internet Newspaper -focusing on Naver, Daum, Nate, Yahoo- (인터넷신문의 뉴스기사 페이지 구성과 콘텐츠에 대한 분석 -네이버, 다음, 네이트, 야후를 중심으로-)

  • This paper has analyzed how the format of the text page and the contents of space surrounding the text in the news stories of the portal sites are made-up. The result of analysis showed that the formats of the text page in Naver news story were more intricate than those of Daum, Nate and Yahoo. Also, Naver was higher in the number of advertising, the type of advertising, the entertainment contents, and various types of contents than other three portals. Especially, the percentage of new story related to entertainers was the highest. It was the portal site Daum that advertised the news story most of all in its text page. In contrast, it was portal site Yahoo that inserted the advertisements least of all. But from the whole sides, it was found that the formats and contents of the text page of the news story in these three portal sites have similarly been made-up. Consequently speaking, for the serviceability of use in news story, it can be evaluated that the news service method in portal sites is higher than that in press dot coms.

There are several portal sites managed by each industrial types or associations/organizations for the purpose or strengthening the competitiveness or small and medium-sized enterprises And currently, tremendous manpower and expenses are put into the selection and quality improvement or information to satisfy the needs toward the high qualify information by the specialized users in their fields collection and updating or the information is partially available manually during He period or budget allocation by the government it becomes problematic, however, to continue this service when the project expires. This report presents the system for the information collection, analysis and classification of portal sites operated for the special purposes and automatic upload to the proper sites. In addition. expression or web robots and application of robots and several information types are suggested which will eventually accomplish currency or information and automatic updates and addition or documents with the least expenses or maintenance.

  • This paper is a study on the design and implementation of cooperative monitoring agent using mobile agent for educational portal site. Generally educational portal sites have many addresses of teachers homepage. Therefore, portal site has a very difficult task with maintaining a consistent address of site and administration of portal is impossible while to be on the search for all dead sites. In order to overcome this problem, we designed and implemented a mutual cooperative monitoring agent in order to filter off dead site using mobile agent. The monitoring agent applies at Korean educational portal site (KEPS) for elementary student and makes an experiment efficient. Finally a cooperative mobile agent is compared with a stationary monitoring agent.

  • For the competitive advantages of an real estate web-site, the study investigated the comparison between the real estate portal sites and the independent real estate web-site based on the users' preference. The experiment was conducted with 52 participants for the total 5 sites including two real estate portal sites (Naver real estate, Daum real estate), and independent real estate web-site (the real estate 114, the seoul real estate square, the MK estate). As a result, this study becomes very practical to web-site companies in terms of users' preferences, even though most of real estate web-site studies have focused on credibility. Therefore, it is considered to contribute largely for the advancement of real estate sites developing differentiation strategy through comparative analysis between real estate portal sites and independent real estate web-site.

  • Due to the development of high speed Internet, a number of Internet users connect online to access web sites. However, there are several procedures required, before you actually find what you were looking for. These procedures are necessary to access Internet services you need, but it is somewhat inconvenient to users. The virtual portal system suggested in this paper is designed to solve such inconvenience. The virtual portal system described in this paper perceives personal computers as web service providing sites, so that it enables users to define customized services by themselves. Also, it makes an exclusive browser as a multiple browser window and provides features to navigate web sites. Therefore, this paper suggests methods for building a pesonalized virtual portal system, where users are able to access web services more conveniently.

A study on distribution comparison of response packets for major portal sites (주요 포털사이트의 응답패킷분포에 관한 연구)

  • The object of study is to verify the distributions of response packets of 3 portal sites such as Naver, Daum, Nate. The period of experiments is from May 19th 2010 to November 7th 2012 and the number of experiments is 4,642. The distributions of Naver, Nate are biomodals. The distribution of Daum has long right tails. 3 distributions are different under 1% significance level using chi-square test and two sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. From proportions and percentiles, Naver has a distribution with the largest values. Nate is the second place, and Daum has a distribution with the smallest values. We must make portal pages light to increase response speed including other technologies. We expect our results to activate competition among portal sites.
