This paper presents a portable tele-assessment system designed for remote evaluation of the hypertonic elbow joint of neurologically impaired patients. A patient's upper limb was securely strapped to a portable limb-stretching device which is connected through Internet to a portable haptic device by which a clinician remotely moved the patient's elbow joint and felt the resistance from the patient. Elbow flexion angle and joint torques were measured from both master and slave devices and bilaterally fed back to their counterparts. In order to overcome problems associated with the network latency, two different tele-operation schemes were proposed depending on relative speed of tasks compared to the amount of time delay. For slow movement tasks, the bilateral tele-operation was achieved in real-time by designing control architectures after causality analysis. For fast movement tasks, we used a semi-real-time tele-operation scheme which provided the clinicians with stable and transparent feeling. The tele-assessment system was verified experimentally on patients with stroke. The devices were made portable and low cost, which makes it potentially more accessible to patients in remote areas.

The desire of achieving abundant and various information in Web-sites through portable devices is increased as the mobile communication technology is matured. WML(Wireless Markup Language) is the fundamental language to fill up the those desires. The number of commercial WML sites which can be accessed by PCS(Personal Communication System) over the Internet are growing rapidly worldwide. In this paper, a WML authoring tool which can author easily the homepage suitable for PCS is designed and implemented. The usability of the proposed WML authoring tool was confirmed by using UP.SDK simulator over the Internet.

휴대용 단말의 보급과 인터넷 및 무선 인터넷의 급속한 확산으로 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경을 구체화한 새로운 서비스들이 등장하고 있다. 본 논문에서 이러한 유비쿼터스 환경을 캠퍼스에 자동화 시스템에 적용하여 기존 캠퍼스 자동화 시스템의 불필요한 인력 낭비와 시간 소요를 줄이고자 유비쿼터스 캠퍼스 시스템을 설계하고자 한다.

WiBro가 IEEE802.16e로 국제 표준화 되었다. 국내뿐만 아니라 세계에서도 휴대인터넷으로 WiBro 서비스를 시작하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 불법 공격자인 해커가 휴대인터넷 WiBro의 이동단말을 이용하여 자신의 위치추적을 피하기 위하여, 피해 시스템을 직접 공격하지 않고 우회 공격을 수행한다. 현재 인터넷망에서 침입 기술에 적극적인 보안을 위한 진보된 알고리즘을 응용하여 효과적인 역추적 기법 등을 연구한다. 공격자인 이동단말에 대한 역추적을 할 때, 실시간 네트워크 로그 감사기록을 이용하고, TCP/IP와 네트워크 기반에서는 Thumbprint Algorithm, Timing based Algorithm, TCP Sequence number 등을 이용한 알고리즘 및 SWT 기법 등을 이용한 역추적 기법 등을 설계하고, 역추적을 실시하였다. 또한 트래픽 폭주 공격에 대해 AS시스템을 이용한 네트워크 트래픽 관리와 통제 및 실시간으로 역추적을 하였다. 본 논문의 연구 결과는 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 WiBro 인터넷에서의 역추적을 실시하고 포렌식 자료를 확보하는데 이바지 할 수 있을 것이다.

In this paper, we have presented the improved IF transceiver architecture and the implementation and experimental results on re-configurable transceiver based on digital IF for multiple wideband OFDM/TDD base stations for high-speed portable internet-service in which is issued Korea. The implemented IF transceiver has been designed to support multiple frequency allocations and multiple standards by only modifying the programmable software not its hardware like as the software-defined-radio concept. Also, the digital complex quadrature modulation technique has been used for the digital IF transmitter, which is able to combine multiple frequency bands in digital processing block not RF block and to reject the image frequency signals. And the bandpass sampling technique has been used for the digital IF receiver to reduce the sampling rate of ADC. This paper has shown the experiment results on the frequency response and constellation on the base-station implemented using the modified IEEE 802.16a/e physical layer channel structure based on OFDM/TDD.

일반적으로 재난 상황에서는 신속하고 쉽게 전개될 수 있는 확실한 재난관리통신이 요구되지만, 다층구조 건물 또는 넓게 펼쳐진 창고 시설은 신뢰할 만한 통신환경을 어렵게 한다. 이러한 재난 환경에서 휴대형 무선 메쉬 네트워크 기술은 소출력으로도 넓은 서비스 커버리지 확보가 가능하며, 유연성 있는 장비의 설치 및 재배치를 통한 네트워크 노드 당 경제성이 높은 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 네트워크 프로세스를 사용하여 재난 통신망 구축에 활용 될 수 있는 휴대형 무선 메쉬 네트워크 게이트웨이를 개발하고 기본적인 연결 기능과 더불어 스루풋과 지연, 패킷 손실 등의 성능을 시험하였다. 시험 결과는 재난 구조 통신망과 같은 다양한 환경에서 사용할 수 있는 기본적인 성능을 갖고 있음을 보여주었다.
